6 Manners Maketh man (Chapter 5)

Ryan doesn't speak to me or look at me. We walk in silence side by side. I listen to the birds chirping and the wind blowing. It's very peaceful here.

"What are we training for?" I ask.

He doesn't look at me but I can see a evil smile emerge on his face.

"I'm training the CREE. We train daily but, today is my sisters 190th so I wanted to spend the day with her. But Father said I just train the CREE."

He responds looking straight forward. When he mentioned his sister I felt a twinge of guilt as I felt the love he had for her. Then again, it was only a twinge.

He picks up the pace as I hear the hustle of men running from around the corner.

"What's the CREE?" I ask slightly confused but matched his menacing tone.

I could see his eyes roll and curse that he got stuck with 'babysitting me.'

I wanted to punch him in the gut to teach him a lesson. Maybe even spoon his eyes out with my fingers to stop then from ever rolling at me again as I am not one to be overlooked. Back on Haydren, I am a 'Knight of the Blaze.' The best warriors in all of Haydren. I wanted to show him. But I'm afraid I might kill him. We are the guests so best not to kill the dirty Nightslayer.

Gritting my teeth I ask again.

He stops and looks directly into my eyes. The feirceness of the blue almost made me blink.

After a short while, the anger had faded from his face and had been replaced with a grin.

"The CREE are a group of highly trained Nightslayers. We train in Dark arts and today combat. We are, the elite of the elite. That's why we train daily. Now Anymore questions?"

Funnily enough I had no more. I shook my head and he continued walking. As we turned a corner a group of 10 men were sprinting across and 30ft yard, not stopping for even one second. They all had black robes but more like an assassin, different from the king and all the people I saw on the way here. Slightly on edge I realized. They must be the CREE.

"Zarfa!" Ryan shouted authoritively and all the CREE came to a stop. They all lined up with their hands behind their backs legs spread evenly. All trained to kill on command. They all noticed me. Looking me up and down, understanding that I was the Lightning that came to visit. I could feel their hatred.

I don't like violence much. But if I had to. I would kill each and every man here. And I had the ability to do so.

"This is Prince Damien Lucent, from Haydren." The faces drop and the hatred seeps out of their eyes as each and every man wanted to kill me. I suddenly took an authoritive stance as I felt threatened piercing my glare into each of the men forcing them to back down. Some looked down, others liked the challenge.

"He will be sparring with us today." I could see Ryan laugh a little as he spoke to the men. Disgusted in his attitude. I had to restrain myself from snapping his neck then and there.

"Ryan." Another man, similar to Ryans build approached us. He ran his fingers to smooth his black hair. His grey eyes looked me up and down and looked confused to my outfit.

"You must be the lightning." He said directly to me wanting to shake my hand.

"Drake Fall in line" Ryan said and the man went to towards the line and took the same stance as the others.

Ryan started talking in their language and I couldn't be bothered to try and figure out what he was saying. Once Ryan finished speaking the men spread out and started to do sorting excersises with each other.

The man Came back over to Ryan and me.

"Drake Salavadore, meet Prince Damien Lucent." Ryan said introducing us.

He shook my hand with a grin on his face.

"Good to meet you Damien, I must say, I thought lightnings were shorter." He said laughing with Ryan. I could see these two men were friends so I didn't want to reprimand him. I also admired his bravery in mocking me straight to my face.

--------------

After an hour the men came to a stop. And took off their swords and bows.

"Now let's do some matches." Ryan said all sweaty and out of breath just finishing his training. Drake was close behind smiling for this was everyone's favourite part of the day.

We watched a few matches and the way the CREE fought was lethal. I had never seen such a fighting style. So quick, so clean, so strong from a group of warriors. They were fighting, not holding back knowing full well they could kill their opponent. I was truly in Awe. But still, if it ever came down to it. A lightning would still win.

"Damien" Ryan said, "your turn."

"Excuse me?" I said entirely baffled.

"Your father said you are too spar. So spar."

The rest of the men oohed and cackled for it was some sort of entertainment.

"Come on, Drake will spar with you." The crowd started gasping.

I had seen Drake spar with Ryan.

He has one of the best techniques I had ever seen. Still I needed to ensure my safety. To make them understand. That behind this Prince facade. I have been trained to kill since birth. Drake removes his top revealing an recent injury on his chest. I also remove mine. We walk to the centre of the court. Circling eachother as lions do. He smiles. The crowd alive in spirit as I look around to see more people come to watch. I square my shoulders as he responds to do the same. He lunges forth throwing a punch aiming at my head. His fist whips through the air and I duck to dodge it. Surprised in my reflex he uses the the other fist to throw a second Punch. I manage to dodge that one too. There was silence as they were all hoping for Drake to hit me. He jumps in the air and attempts to kick me and I roll and slide behind him. I act of instinct and kick him to the back of his knees assisting it with a straight punch to his spine as he drops to the floor. Silence to the crowd as Drake falls. He gets up almost instantly. Throws a uppercut with such force to my jaw that it almost knocks me over. The crowd errupt in joy as I fumble to find my feet. He punched me again and again until I tasted blood. I managed to Push him away from me and spit on the floor to remove the excess blood. He spins a kick to my head causing me to fall. I get up and regain steadiness. He throws many punches and kicks to me I dodge them swiftly. I then find my opening and use a straight punch to his Injured chest that makes him fly backwards. He lays on the ground for a moment in anger and gets up in an fit of Rage. I stand ready.

"That's enough." Ryan calls. "Very good Damien. I did not expect that."

Ryan calls Drake over to him. They whisper to each other. Then share that evil smile. I look around to see most of the females staring at my exposed chest and set of abs. I don't feel ashamed but it was kind of weird.

"Damien" Ryan calls as I whip my attention back to him. "Up for another round?"

I look around to see everyone either smiling or in disbelief.

"Sure why not." I say cheekily winking at Drake.

"Oh no you're not fighting me." Drake says grinning that evil grin they all share.

"So who am I fighting?"

Both Drake and Ryan point to the side. My eyes follow In that direction. To my surprise, it wasn't a man I was fighting. But a woman.

-----------------

This woman. Was beautiful.

Her Hazel eyes could entrap any man into doing unspeakable things and all she would have to do was ask. Her body was of a goddess that I admired. Her long Black hair complimented the wind as it blew perfectly with the breeze. Her skin was caramel you could almost eat it. She looked at me softly her expression kind . Her eyes searched mine as she approached me fluttering her perfect lashes. Her rose lips slightly parted as she wanted to speak. I could not find one flaw on this woman. She was the Definition of beauty. My heart dropped at the sight of her. A new feeling in my stomache that fluttered. I had never seen such a woman. She approached me taking even strides. Her curves matching her body perfectly that I had to look away. But I couldn't. I wanted to touch her, kiss her, make her mine in a way that a man can. I was trapped in the eyes of this woman. An Angel. But every angel is deadly.
