13 Hateful Man

"So you are the one who has something to tell me about the S-Rank Hunter Goto Ryuji?" Taking a puff from his cigar, the man looked in Yuuki's general vicinity but not directly at him.

Looking at the man who seemed to not even be paying him attention, Yuuki opened his mouth to speak. "Yeah, that's me. Anyway, did you know what Goto Ryuji did?"

"If I did would I have you here now?" Speaking with obvious disdain in his voice, the Chairman was very agitated and wanted him to get right to the point.

Opening and closing his mouth, Yuuki did not understand what was the problem this guy had with him. "He stole my weapon. A very important one at that."

"Any evidence? I mean, it's not that I don't believe you or anything...however, I can't have you staining Goto Ryuji's name without proof. Otherwise, who knows how many people would've slandered his name by now." From the way that he spoke, Yuuki inferred that this man was conniving and cruel, which were not good traits for anyone.

Sighing as he tried to calm himself down after finding that he got angry very easily when speaking to this guy, Yuuki pulled his phone out and played a video which was from the day he came out of the Red Gate. "Take a look at this."

In the video, a circle was placed around a man standing quite far away from the camera. His figure was similar to that of Goto Ryuji's and it seemed that this man was Goto Ruji after zooming in and seeing his hair and facial hair.

The man in the circle was walking by the hospital when the Red Gate opened up and the man turned towards the Red Gate, as though seeing something, the man disappeared into a black flash. Slowing the video down, the video which was taken by a patient, easily caught Goto Ryuji's hand grabbing the Leviathan Dagger and also caught him retreating immediately after.

"Bring it closer, let me see it." The Chairman was probably intelligent enough to understand that Yuuki coming with the video and nonchalantly showing it to him without any reservations meant that there were copies of the video.

Replaying it for the Chairman, Yuuki waited for his reaction and instead of what he expected, the Chairman acted oppositely.

"Do you have the Dagger?"

"Who do you think has it? Him or me?" Yuuki answered the Chairman's question with a question. "Anyway, are you going to do anything about it? Are you going to punish Goto?"

"Why should I? Give me one good reason." Leaning forward, the Chairman's punchable face seemed to gravitate Yuuki's hands to move, but Yuuki held back his fists.

"Stealing is a crime, how would you react if I stole the watch you are wearing?"

"I'd get another one, I can do that after all." Irritating Yuuki further, the Chairman kept going around his questions and avoiding them.

"Goto Ryuji is not exempted from any form of punishment simply because he is an S-Rank Hunter, right? Are you not going to do anything about it?"

"Listen, it's not that I don't want to punish him… But Goto is the number one Hunter in Japan. How bad would we look if the Number One Hunter stole a Dagger from an…"

"E-Rank."

Hearing his rank, the Chairman looked at Yuuki again, this time with a look of surprise on his face.

"You, a lowly E-Rank think that you can come in here and talk to me, Matsumoto Shigeo like you own this place. What makes you think that people will believe you rather than me, Goto has already told me about you. I knew that you would come here trying to look for trouble. But I did not expect that an E-Rank could take the Dagger back from Goto, even if he was going easy on you. Goto is so much stronger than you that your existence is nothing in his eyes. You should have been thanking Goto that the awesome power of your Dagger will be used for the future of Japan's first National-Level Hunter."

Sighing, Yuuki looked at the Chairman with pity in his eyes.

"Chairman, I truly apologize… to the Association. Having you as its Chairman must ruin this place." Walking away, Yuuki smiled as he left the building.

Taking his phone out, Yuuki turned off the recording and played the entire meeting from back to front. Smirking, Yuuki released both the clip of Goto stealing the Dagger and the recording of his meeting with the Chairman. To spread them even further, he sent them to the people directly around him.

These people all looked around for someone who sent them the video as they watched and witnessed the theft of Goto and the meeting Yuuki had with the Chairman.

Walking away, Yuuki knew it would not be long before his efforts showed results as the news would travel fast from person to person as people would tell their friends who would see the clips and tell their friends and rapidly, the entire of Japan would probably see it.

Satisfied, Yuuki walked back home as it was going to get very dark very soon.

"Hey, Hana, would you like to study? If not, after the years you missed due to being ill, I could just take care of you and you could stay home whilst I go and work as a Hunter."

Taking a moment to think, Hana replied.

"I will just learn from home if you can get me the basic things I need like workbooks and textbooks, I am sure I can just teach myself."

"Alright, if you ever need help you just need to let me know." Thinking back to the chairman, Yuuki realized that he had seen his face and would easily find him from his exotic features.

"Hana?"

"Yes?"

"How is your Korean that mom taught you?" Yuuki had realized that the Chairman's power was great and that they would probably need to leave the country. Korea was an option due to their mother coming from there and she had taught both Yuuki and Hana how to speak it.

"It should be fine, why?"

"No reason, just asking."

'What a hateful man that Chairman was.'

As he checked the System, Yuuki noticed the Loot Box he received from the Yeti which he had yet to open.
