14 Frozen Gauntlet

Looking at the Loot Box in the System, Yuuki wondered what he would get. Already knowing that the item would be related to the Yeti he only managed to kill due to the Leviathan Dagger's [ Frozen ] effect.

Not thinking much, Yuuki selected the Loot Box and a new panel opened up in front of his eyes, in which 9 squares were set out in a 3 by 3 pattern. Question marks were on the surface of the squares and he could infer from the Lucky Spin, that he had to pick what he got from the Loot Box.

Selecting the middle square, top left square, and the bottom left square, Yuuki rubbed his hands and waited to see what he got.

Looking at the second and third items since the first was self-explanatory, Yuuki looked at the Hearthstone and his jaw almost dropped.

Effects: Upon shattering, the owner can attain a skill used by the creature from which the Hearthstone was acquired.

Yuuki was happy with this alone, after all, he had a crap ton of mana but no way to use it other than to bluntly release it all of a sudden.

+3 Vitality

+1 Ice Affinity

Description: As its name denotes, this Gauntlet is frozen.

Looking at the description for the Frozen Gauntlet, Yuuki looked at the description as he equipped it to see what it was like and how it felt. Instead of feeling anything appear on his arm, he felt more strength appear and in his < Status Page > there was a +8 in brackets next to his Strength stat and a +3 next to Vitality. However, he did not know where the Ice Affinity showed up and shrugged his shoulder. After clearing it up, Hina explained that it was equipped in the System which then applied the stats directly to him and that they could also be removed and replaced by another piece of equipment.

Sighing deeply, Yuuki thought back to the earlier events and needed some consolation from Hina.

"Hina, was what I did today stupid? I mean, recklessly uploading those two videos online, after coming back now, I am sure he will do something behind our backs as I feel his character somewhat is like that."

{No, in fact, it was intelligent. By releasing those videos in which one of them has your face in, the chairman cannot do anything to you or the people will know and he would get removed as the Chairman of the Hunter's Association. You did well.}

Hearing Hina's words of praise, Yuuki felt like he did not deserve it. What he did was something he came up with on the spot when he saw a security camera. Luckily, the phone used to record the video at the hospital had a high enough quality that unlike security cameras, allowed people to clearly see Goto Ryuji steal the Leviathan Dagger.

"Was it not reckless for me to do that? I thought it was kinda stupid of me to do that until you said that."

{Well, I admire your bravery in managing to stand in front of somebody who had the ability to ruin your life. You could consider it reckless until the videos became widely spread. If he removed the videos with his power then he could do something to you, now that it is widely spread, his reputation will be hitting the floor hard and he will also be unable to act according to the videos. Right now, I imagine that if he makes a move then people will be able to know the truth and even if he does nothing, he may not keep his job.}

"Thank you for the reassurance Hina, I needed it." Relaxing his body against the chair, Yuuki watched as Hana looked over some books regarding biology. Trying to recall some information, Hana asked for some help to which he gladly obliged.

"Where are they? We were meant to meet up here a couple of minutes ago." Feeling people approaching, Yuuki turned around to see the group of guys who he would be going with into the gate.

"You the guy I talked to online?" A tall man with a thick beard and bald head spoke with a gruff voice.

"Yeah, that's me."

"Okay, that's good. Remember, we only need you to fill out the necessary party members. You just need to carry our stuff and let us do the fighting. You will get the 100,000 Yen after we are done."

Inside of the C-Rank Gate, Yuuki followed the men and noticed that only four of them were together. Included in that group of four was the bald man.

Fighting scorpions, they had to be careful so they would not get poisoned. They did sustain some damage and cuts but nobody was poisoned so far.

Blue lights flashed from far away and Yuuki noticed the bald man look at his teammates before nodding and succinctly making a signal with their hands.

Calmly going through the dungeon, one guy who was a year older than Yuuki had started to converse with him.

"So, are you also doing it for the money?" Kanzaki Gaou was his name and he was a youth with the will of fire. Every time he got hit he did not scream in pain but excitement and even when his legs were shaking weirdly, his upper body was like steel as he swung his sword around fiercely as he roared with excitement after being struck.

"Yeah, what other reasons are there anyway? It's not as though people like getting hit as you do…" Yuuki made a realization as to why it looked as though Kanzaki had pissed his pants.

Getting close to Kanzaki, Yuuki whispered into his ear. "Are you an M by chance?"

However, before he could get a reply, they reached the area where there was a scene that caused Yuuki's eyes to widen in shock.
