8 DEPTH OF THE UNSPOKEN MEMORIES
[ 8 YEARS AGO ] :
" MAMA!! PAPA!! I'M SCARED!! WHERE ARE YOU?! It's so dark..! I can't see anything!! Monsters like dark places!! I'm scared!! Someone please get me!! Please help me! I'm lost! Where are the guards?! I'm so scared!!!
The little girl screaming helplessly, she trembling so much. She has no power to stand. Her legs feel numbed. She's so scared. It's normal for a ten years old girl who's surrounded by darkness to cry and scream. She cried so hard. No one can hear her asking for help. No one hear her screaming. No one ever notice.. Because it's not a place where no one can enter. Not a single soul. At least, not a single tainted soul.
" WHY I CAN'T MOVE MY LEGS?!! Come on!! Move!! I want to go home!!! MAMA! PAPA! "
That little girl continue screaming while hitting her legs countless times.
" MOHH! ISN'T IT SUPPOSEDLY THERE'S A PRINCE CHARMING WHO WILL COME AND RESCUE HIS PRINCESS?!! IS IT ALL A LIE?!! OR IS IT MY PRINCE IS TOO DUMB THAT HE GET STUCK ON A TREE OR SOMETHING??!! PLEASE~! COULD ANYONE SAVE ME..I DON'T CARE IF ITS NOT A PRINCE.. A KNIGHT ALSO WILL DO! WHY DOESN'T ANYONE HEAR ME?..... Is the deitys trying to ignore me?! Why won't they send someone to save me?...."
Her voice becomes shrinking as she runs out of energy. She just crying there alone as she knows no one will save her.
" Why must I always end up doing everything alone?... Why can't anyone stand by me also? Am I unworthy?.. I just want to go home.."
She shrivelling herself. It's so cold. There's no extra coats to cover her tiny body. She just leaning towards the tree and cry herself out. After crying for so many hours... She heard sounds like footsteps. The sounds of cracking branches. It's getting closer and closer. She quickly wiped out her tears and she smile so happily as she thought her prayers have been heard. Someone's going to save her. But it's far from what she expects. It's not going to save her. It's going to execute her. The one she thought will save her, turned out to be a furious, hungry white tiger. It is indeed said that the species has extinct thousands years ago but somehow there's one right in front her. Probably the only one left and it looks hella hungry. That little girl just able to tremble while counting on her death. The tiger took it's steps slowly. The girl can't even move a muscle. She feels so helpless. Never thought it would end like this. When the tiger slowly nearing with her in just about 3.5 meters away from her, the tiger suddenly took a big jump from right where it stand. Big enough to make the girl's head right into it's mouth. There and then, she knows her death is certain. She closed her eyes and her ears. Doesn't want to see her tragic and painful death. She just closed her eyes, not wanting to see the hideous monster. She then noticed there's red at her legs but she doesn't feel anything. Probably because the pain has numbed all her sense. She finally brace herself to open her eyes after a while. She thought at least she needs to know how much her body has take. She opened them slowly. She looks at her whole body. Everything still attached but she was covers with red thick blood. She don't feel pain. She tried to get up slowly. Her eyes adjusting with the light. She looks around, " Where's the beast?" that's the first thing she looked up to.
" You're safe.. Thank goodness.."
Instead of hearing the beast roaring, she heard a voice, a very nice and heartwarming voice. She looks at the source of the sounds. Her vision is a bit blurry but then she focused her sight at the sounds. When she finally got to see her vision clearly, she said,
" It is real.. it's really there.. My Prince.."
The girl look up an see there's a very good looking man sit atop on the beast. The beast has been defeated. The blood she thought was hers is actually from the beast. She cried tears of gratitution. She's so relieved that she still be given a chance to live. Her prince has come to her rescue, with his sword and shield. She cried. Her prince give her his most warm smile. Pure and safe. She still crying.. That man has no idea how to comfort that little girl..
" Why are you still crying, sweetie? it's okay.. You are safe now. I'm here.."
The girl still sobbing. Not because of the trauma, but because she gets nostalgic by looking into the man's eyes.
" Haihh..I don't really know how to comfort people.. moreover a girl..such a troublesome creature.. How you end up getting here by the way?..... This is not a playground, you know?.. Why are you still crying...? Aren't you supposed to be grateful Because there's a handsome man right in front of you?..Aish.. I don't really know how to handle this situation."
The man sighing and face palming himself as he can see his words will not make the girl stop crying... He then suddenly come near the little girl and hugging her so tight. She feels safe in his embrace..That man said,
" Don't ruin your pretty face, sweetie.. It's okay..I'm here for you. I will help you get out of here. So, please smile and stop crying. You are a strong girl, right?"
The girl, still sobbing, finally answered him..
" I.. I'm not crying because I'm scared.. I just feel touched that I can't hide it. I'm not scared but I know you are. You've been so scared for so long that no one can save you. Why I feel that your eyes hold a thousand of pain? I don't know but Everytime I look in them.. I feel touched that I want to cry.. why are those pretty eyes contain so much tragedy?.. "
The girl's word burn deep inside his chest. It's hurt but he can't exact pinpoint where's the hurting part. He just know it's hurting so much. How can a little girl noticed all the small details? Is she a real thing? Is she ordinary? That man covers his hurting heart while asking, " What do you mean, sweetie? I'm not scared of anything. Why did you said like that?" That man still holding her in his embrace. He feels like he don't want to let go yet until he heard her answer.
" You do scared..your eyes show me that you are scared..of yourself.. that eyes contain your hatred, regrets, failure, anguish and fear. Why you hold such feelings? Your color has become dull. It shows that you were once happy and lively. But why, now, you seem lost? There's many broken pieces that you have left. What made you end up like this? Why such a beautiful eyes held so much tragedy? Why such a cold ice heart has so warm and safe embrace? You said you'll save me but I think you're the one who needs to be save. I think you're the one who needs protection. I can protect you. I will protect you. You are my prince after all.. hehehe..so, please..smile again..and..be happy...let go of all the junks.. start a fresh journey..if you want to smile, just smile.. if you want to laugh, just let it out loud..if you want to cry, just cry it all out..its okay to break down for a while..and you'll be fine..I'm...sure....The one who can't cry is the weakest.. the one who can lie to themselves, are actually in pain .... The one who's hard to love, is the one who need it the most...There will come a time where every blessings fall right in front of you..and you..will be...saved..."
The girl slowly driven to sleep as her eyes start to feel heavy. She sleeps on the man's chest. The man, listen to her words that pierced him in the soul. How can a 10 years old, understand the most trivial things..? She's no ordinary. She's more than special. For a moment in time, he feels like he was accepted as the real him. He feels like he's home. He feels the warmth in her words, in her touch. He also, driven to sleep, so soundly..
" I'm home.."

They have spent a night together. That man, still stick with the girl. They start to exchange personal information. They become so much closer..
" Sweetie, what's your name? You seems like a Nobel from the way I see how you dress.. don't you ever have heard the phrase that if you ever lost, just follow the river stream..Aishh.. This is not a normal place you know?"
" I am..a Nobel..a royal actually.. My name is Re. I am the sole heir of Nysa. But I guess, here, I'm not more than an outsider. I know I'm not in Nysa anymore. This is it's own kingdom. It's not my place..I don't have power here.."
" Seriously?? A Royal? How you ended up here? isn't royalties must be trapped in their big warm palace? How come you get stuck in here? How far did you run? Aigoo..."
" I also don't know how I ended up here. It's all happened in a blink of an eye.. I indeed fleed from castle.. I went to the woods that I usually go..I just love the breeze and the nature there..while I was roaming around,. suddenly I was tripped and when I look up, the woods become so strange and dark as if it was night. My compass stops working too. I tried to find my way home using the usual route but it's useless. I'm trapped here. I've been walking for hours too. I thought that will be the end of me..but luckily you found me..My Prince have found me. Now, I feel safe and I'm not scared anymore.. Thank you for saving me.."
The girl; Princess Re, saying her gratitution with her most warm smile. That man suddenly gets blushed when she said that he is her prince..
" Wh..what do you mean by your prince, you one naughty Princess? I just happened to walk by...."
" Of course you are my prince.. I just know and I also have decided to marry you.. my age now is ideal for marriage, you know.. So, I want us to get out from here and get married in Nysa.. Hehehehe.."
" You have even thought for marriage? seriously this girl?"
That man smiling unconditionally..
" So..may I know what's my future husband's name? What can I call you?"
" Gee~future husband..I know..you can just call me as ' your prince ' or maybe ' darling ' even better..."
That man give his suggestion as he chuckled..
" Ehhh..why not just tell me your name??"
The princess feels somewhat pissed..
" I'm not telling my name..so my suggestion you can just take it or leave it"
That man winked.
" FINEE... I'll just call you as my prince..so unfair..then...what will you call me? You do know my name. Give me a cute nickname pleasee.."
That girl clinging to his arm..
" I think I want to call you as, ' My Moon '.. it's suits you.."
" It's not cute at all..gosh..why moon??"
" Because when I lost in here, it's been so dark. No even the slightest light. The night sky was covered in pitch black. So I just walk without direction. But then, I suddenly feels light ray clearing my path. The moon suddenly out, the big illuminating moon, makes my path look easier.. That's the moment I found you. Then I thought that it was you who brings the moon out..it was you who pull me out of the darkness..I feel so blessed.."
" That's the same for me..you take me out of my misery.. Then..can we stay together always, My Prince?"
" Of course...as long as you want, My Moon."
That man kissed her cheek. They feels like they've complete each other. Since then.. they stay together. They learn swords together,. they survive together, they love together. Without realizing, it's been 5 years they've lived in the mysterious place. Re already 15 years old.. They don't want to be apart..but then one day, when they standing atop at the mountain, suddenly the ground started to break. At the spot where they were standing, it's crack between them, they were separated.. but then, Re suddenly jump to reach his Prince's hand. He just barely gets to catch her. She was hanging at the cliff with only one hand holding her Prince's grip.. They both try their hardest to not fall. But the force pull her down so hard it's as if it said, your time has come to an end..
" I DON'T WANT TO LOSE YOU! PLEASE!!"
" I WON'T LET YOU GO! DEITYS! PLEASE LEND ME YOUR POWER! PLEASE DON'T TAKE HER! I DON'T WANT TO LOSE HER!!"
That man try his hardest to pray to the deitys even he knows he has been abandoned.
The Prince hold his Princess hand so tight until made him cough of blood Because he try so hard to go against the forces. Re, just can't see him in pain in order just to save her. He won't be able to make it if he challenge the power so much.. knowing that, Re just give her smile to him, she says..
" It's okay.. just let me go...we won't make it..my time has come.. I promise we will be together again at the outside world. I will find you.."
"I DON'T WANT!!"
He cough even more..
" I promise we will meet again... I'm true to my words.."
With that, Re slowly let go of her grip from that man..
". No...please don't....."
He started crying a river..
" Goodbye...I love you..."
". WAIT! AT LEAST I WILL TELL YOU MY NAME!! MY NAME IS....********"
With that, Re falls back to her reality. She has fallen to her death in that world..She cry so hard,. she feels pain so much....but she can't open her eyes, can't move her body..she just heard, there's voice saying,
" She's here..the princess is here! hurry! bring her back to the castle.."
She still unconscious. it's been two days since the guards have found her. She's been crying for all these time even she can't move her body but her eyes always teary that she can't stop it from falling...she can't hide it. She's in so much pain..After five days been bedridden, she finally opens her eyes and the first word she utters is,
" Taehyung...."
"What did you said, darling?"
Her mom feels grateful that she finally woken up..her mom kissed and hugged her so many times..
" Eh? Uh? Nothing.. I don't remember. What happened to me, mom?"
" You don't remember sweetheart? You just fleed from the castle and we looking for you for like 5 hours and then the guards said they found you unconscious beside the river stream. Then they bring you back and you've been bedridden for 5 days since then..."
Her mom explain..
" Wait..mom..slowly..so you mean that all these events just happened in one week??! Stop bluffing, mom..I've been lost for 5 years...!"
Re explain herself with her questioned expression.
" What are you talking about, darling? You really lost for 5 hours only .. remember? because you don't want to meet with the heir that seek for your hand?"
" Th..then..how old am I right now???!"
" Did you get slammed in your head or something? you are 10 years old of course.. enough..maybe you're just dreaming. Everything is fine, darling.."
Re suddenly run to mirrors herself and her mom's right... she sees her 10 years old version in the reflection..she questioning herself..
" What just happened? Did all of that is just a dream? why it feels so real? Is that mean he also just my creation? Did that mean all the memories we've been through together for 5 years is just happened in my head? Wh..why it becomes like this??!"
She feels like she can't accept the fact. Is it really just merely a good dreams? She don't believe it. She cries more, like a lost child, she feels like she just lost her home. How can she live after this? Knowing that everything that happened is never occurred in real life? She feels so helpless. Starting that day, Everytime she woke up, she will cry. She don't know why..Perhaps that she hoped that she will wake up at that place again..but no..she can't go back. She tried everyday to accept the fact that the world she created doesn't exist. She tried but she can't..Her will is strong saying that everything did happened..She strongly feel that she's not mistaken.. Her instict never go wrong. She knows what she's done. She knows that she really been through all that..she knows that her prince really does exist..The proof that strengthen her beliefs is that she able to win any sword sparring because she's the only one who'd been practicing 5 years longer than her usual age. That's why she's the best warrior between the heirs from the three big kingdom. She always remind herself everyday, about her first love, even after 8 years, even their memories becomes dusty and there's no sign of his existence, deep down beneath her heart, she still crave to meet her love...to be together with her Prince charming.. she knows that he is somewhere out there..and she knows that she won't be mistaken..and she feels that her prince also been longing to meet her.
