12 Making discoveries

Tsubaki Shinra wanted to get to know the person who could make her king blush so easily more but unfortunately Vergil was saved by the bell as it rang indicating that classes were starting, Sona hearing the bell was a bit upstream since she didn't even get a chance to talk with Vergil yet while Vergil didn't seem to be bothered by the bell.

As Vergil made his way to class Sona followed him on the pretext that her class was in the same direction and by Vergil using his Haki could sense her emotions and could tell she was lying "Hmm well that's odd I could swear your class was on the other side of the school Sona" Vergil said while showing a smile and looking at Sona to which she blushed as Vergil saw through her lie "Y-you're right I must of made I mistake now that it think about it my class is in the other direction" Sona immediately turned around and walked away with a large blush on her face as she was feeling extremely embarrassed Vergil lightly chuckled, it was fun seeing such a serious girl like Sona blush because of embarrassment.

Vergil entered his class and immediately sat down in his seat, even without observation Haki Vergil was pretty sure he would have noticed the way both Rias and Akeno were starring at him and the other guys in the class noticed it too which only made their blood boil with envy and jealousy, as the teacher talked about science Vergil was getting ready to tune-out until she said something that caught his attention. "-273.15 degrees celcius is absolute zero and can only be achieved when atoms stop moving completely so no friction is created and with no friction there is no kinetic or thermal energy but as we all know absolute zero is impossible to achieve as currently there is no way to stop the movement of atoms"

That sentence caught Vergil's attention 'Stop atoms, if I stop atoms individually instead of stopping something as a whole wouldn't it be possible for me to achieve absolute zero?' the very thought of being able to completely freeze anything to the coldest possible point would be incredibly overpowered it would essentially be a massive upgrade of the Ice-Ice fruit as instead of just freezing things Vergil would be able to freeze anything to the coldest possible point. A smile formed on his face as he imagined himself freezing an entire battlefield like admiral Aokiji from one piece.

Vergil's mood got exceptionally better as he had just found another reason why his stop-stop fruit was so incredibly overpowered, his devil fruit was so incredibly versatile and as the days go by he keeps finding more and more uses for it and add to the fact his devil fruit hadn't even awakened yet it was incredibly busted, Akeno and Rias kept glancing towards Vergil's direction and seeing him smile reminded them of the way he had smiled before he had kissed them on their dates.

As classes finished for the day Vergil wanted to find a quiet place to test of his theory about stopping atoms and creating absolute zero, Rias and Akeno watched Vergil leave and were about to go up to him but were stopped by Sona, "Akeno, Rias please followe me to the club room as I want to discuss something with both of you" Rias and Akeno both took one last look at Vergil's direction before following Sona, they decided to talk to him later. Obviously with his observation Haki Vergil knew that Rias and Akeno wanted to talk to him and he could have gone with them instead of testing out his theory but since Vergil is not a SIMP he chose to test out his theory instead.

After Vergil arrived in a quit section of the school where no one was around he opened and stepped into a B rank gate, the environment Vergil stepped out into was a massive dessert were the were sand dunes as far as the eye could see and the sun was scorching hot, this would be the perfect place to test out his theory, Vergil didn't summon out his shadow army as he didn't want them caught in the blast, the ground beneath Vergil's feet shook as from the sand burst out massive sand worms but Vergil wasn't worried since he had long since passed the point where B rank dungeons would provide him with a challenge, Vergil released his conquers Haki forcing all the massive worms to be forcibly pushed down onto the sand.

The worms tried to struggle but couldn't even move an inch with Vergil's conquers Haki pressing down not only their wills and suffocating them but also pressing down on their bodies forcing them downward.

All of a sudden the pressure the massive worms we're feeling felt like it had a huge increase as they were pushed further into the ground and felt as if their conscious was starting to slip but Vergil lowered the intensity of his Haki as he didn't want the massive worms to pass out 'Wow I was not expecting a level up in my conquers Haki anytime soon, this is definitely a pleasant surprise'

Vergil decided that now would be the perfect time to test out his theory as he would be able to freely use his Stop-stop fruit without having to worry about injuring random people, Vergil closed his eyes and concentrated, he focused on the movement and vibrations of all the atoms around him, he willed the vibration of atoms to stop and in the blink of an eye the entire surrounding area of the dungeon was incased in a thick and extremely cold layer of ice.

The once dessert area was turned into a frozen wasteland, Vergil attempted to heat himself up with fire magic but it wouldn't work, it was too cold for any sort of flame to even form, Vergil felt his body temperature drop at dangerous rates as the cold from the surrounding area felt as it was freezing him.

[Host has cleared all monsters in the dungeon, the host can either leave or stay and face the boss monster]

Vergil immediately chose to leave as staying any longer would definitely turn him into nothing more than a giant popsicle if he didn't leave, Vergil opened and quickly jumped out of the gate back into his school, if anyone was to walk up to Vergil they would see that his skin looked pale blue and there was ice all over his body as if he was being frozen, Vergil immediately regretted stopping the vibration of every single atom in his surrounding area as currently he had no was to combat the extreme cold brought about by absolute zero. 'I almost got myself killed, absolute zero is no joke if I'm going to use it in a fight under no circumstances will I freeze my surrounding area until I find a way to combat the cold'

Vergil immediately teleported himself home not caring that he would miss the rest of the school day, what Vergil currently needed was the hottest possible bath his bathroom at home could provide.

(Student council room)

Sona was facing Rias and Akeno who were sitting in the couches facing her desk inside the student council room, she had brought them here to discuss a very important subject, "You may be wondering why I've called you two here, the reason is simple.... I was going to ask Vergil to become my fiancé"

Immediately Rias and Akeno shot up after hearing that, no way in hell would they allow Vergil into another woman's grasp, "And what on earth possessed you to think that I would let you do that Sona" Rias asked with clear anger coming from her voice "Fufu it seems I will have to agree with my king, I simply can't allow you to do that Sona" Akeno asked with a seemingly calm voice but a dangerous aura surrounded her.

Sona started at Akeno and Rias while they both did the same, "Well logically speaking Vergil would be the perfect fiancé for me, he is kind, surprisingly smart and not only is he a descendant of the original Lucifer but he is powerful as well, ultimately he is the perfect candidate for me as unlike you Rias my parents gave me permission to choose my fiancé and even though Vergil hasn't even played or beat me in chess yet I believe he is my intellectual equal and someone I wouldn't mind marrying"

Sona had given nothing but logical facts about why Vergil was perfect for her but unfortunately sometimes women just don't care about logic or facts, "Fufu well Sona I must say that you presented quite a compelling argument but unfortunately for you I saw him first so he is mine" Akeno answered keeping the innocent looking smile plastered across her face, hearing that Rias responded angrily to Akeno "Hold on just a moment Akeno not only is he not yours but I saw him first so he's mine". "No I saw him first" replied Akeno, "No I did" Rias said while raising her voice, both women glared at each other.

Sona sighed, just as she thought this meeting was not going well, "Well in any case I believe that the best way to settle this would be just to ask Vergil then he could give his opinion" Sona said while looking at both Rias and Akeno, all three women glared at each other before before they nodded their heads slightly agreeing with Sona's suggestion.
