5 Chapter 5 Axel

Axel didn't think the day felt any different as he got out of bed that morning, he put his shoes on the same way and brushed his teeth the same way. But when he got to school everything was brimming with life. Everyone was super excited and chatting and running around. This was odd for Andreas because usually on Mondays the students were very tired and moody. Axel wondered if he had been left out of a joke or something. Axel looked around in confusion until his friend Issac came up to him.

"Dude! We get to train at the fairy school from now on!" Issac exclaimed while giving Axel a gentle punch on the arm.

"What! Since when?"

"Since last night apparently! I guess the King Alpha decided that we needed to train near the protecties."

"The king alpha? That's interesting." Axel didn't think the King would pay attention to the students rather than something more important.

"Yeah, apparently he suspects that a war is gonna break out and he wants to be as trained as possible, he wants more warriors. To protect our kingdom and our fairy friends." Issac exclaimed while looking at a beta girl who walked passed them. Axel rolled his eyes and grabbed Issac by the collar.

"Come on dumbass, let's get to class."

"But the hot babes!" Issac pouted.

When the boys got to class the instructor had already been bombarded by all the other trainees.

"Everyone settle down, if you would all take your seats I can explain everything. And hopefully only once." The information seemed to go right over the kids heads because they just asked questions louder and more rapidly.

The instructor got fed up and let out a loud growl. "If you do not take your seats in five seconds, none of you will be going to the fairy school." Everyone gasped and rushed to their seats, including Axel and Issac.

"Now, yes. Everyone will be going to the fairy school and training. We will be using their gym as a training room or outside depending on weather. There are tasks that you all must complete in order to graduate this year, you will complete these instead of having a exam. All of you will be paired up with a fairy, you must protect them and keep them from causing trouble. Fairies can be mischievous, not harmful but pranks and jokes can be quite bothersome. You will each be able to choose your own fairy to protect but not all fairies will have a partner. I don't want any questions as to why we are doing this or anything about the king." The classed groaned at the last part but still could not contain their excitement. Most of the students had never seen fairies before, they all were focused on their training and didn't have time to go and prance with fairies. Axel was overcome with excitement, it was like having a mission. Axel dreamed of becoming a main warrior for the Kings pack. He had always wanted to prove that he could protect people. Issac said that was the wolf in him.

Axel ran with his classmates in wolf form to the fairy school. He had never seen a fairy before, students weren't allowed anywhere near the fairies unless they were certified. Very few students got certified before graduation. When they arrived at the school everyone was even more excited. Fairies were everywhere, werewolves and vampires can tell the difference of species based on smells which isn't the same for any other species. So the students could easily tell who was a fairy. Along with all the fairies there were adult wolves guarding the school. The guards nodded respectfully to their teacher and went back to their jobs. When they arrived at the gym all the equipment was already laid out.

The teacher talked with the principle for awhile before he smiled at the kids and waved. The instructor walked over to the kids, "Class this is the principle and the one who has allowed you to train here. I would like you all to show him respect and to thank him." They all bowed to the principle and thanked him in unison.

"No need to thank me, the more the merrier. I'm sure my students can learn just as much from yours." The principle smiled softly.

Then their training began.

After a long series of events Axel ended up wandering the hallways in search for the gym. His mind wandered back to Thomas, he thought he was a very odd personality. For a fairy he is very outspoken, from what Axel had learned fairies were usually shy and introverted. Axel had kind of roped him into being his partner but he didn't need to know that till later. Axel was excited to brag to Issac about already finding a good fairy to protect. When Axel got back to the gym, his classmates were all training heavily. He saw Issac standing on the sidelines probably waiting for him to get back. Axel felt a little guilty about not getting back sooner, he didn't care if he wasted his time but his friends time was something else. Issac spotted him and they immediately went to a mat to get started.

"So what took so long with fairy boy out there?" Issac questioned before throwing himself at Axel.

"I waited for him to get out of the nurse to make sure he was ok." Axel threw a punch at Issac only to miss and swing at air. Issac wasn't as strong as Axel but he was sure as hell a good dodger.

"And? What was the prognosis?" Issac stepped back for a breather but kept his fists up on guard.

"Bruised ribs and ego." Issac chuckled before yelping as Axel wrestled him to the floor. Axel pinned him down in a choke hold.

"And Thomas agreed to be my partner for the time we stay here." Axel bragged while Issac scoffed.

"Have to be ahead of everyone don't you." Issac grunted before tapping out.

"Your just jealous." Axel laughed. Issac scoffed and pushed Axel as he grabbed his water bottle.

"I can just as easily find a partner bone head. If you can any of us can." Issac teased. Axel and Issac went for a few more spars before they had to go home. Axel saw the fairy as he was heading to his car. He saw him heading the opposite way of the parking lot. He wondered if Thomas was walking home. After giving the reluctant fairy a ride home, Axel went home and passed out from his day.
