Shanks Pov:

I rubbed my hands together like a thief, before I stood up from my seat and washed my hands.

I sat back in time for Kenny to slide a plate of eggs and bacon with some wine on the side.

I grabbed the spoon and the fork kenny passed a second later and 5 minutes later, i was in heaven.

I took a sip of the wine and sighed in a relaxing manner as I thought about all that had happened ever since we left Boomecks. I knew my actions had consequences and I was honestly expecting Murphy's law to strike me at any time of the day now.

'Not like I'm scared of it anyways. But back to the matter at hand, my elimination of Bjorn and my clash with Kizaru should have the navy on high alert by now. Afterall, it's not everyday an unknown rookie defeats a vice admiral who's a potential contender for the position of admiral '.

As that thought crossed my mind, I thought about the future admirals. 'Out of all the admirals, Kizaru's the one that was a mystery in regards to his beliefs and goals. Especially since he's always portrayed in an ambiguous manner'. As that train of thought was about to continue, i was brought back to reality as the sound ,*clank* resounded in the kitchen.

I looked around and saw a neat stack of plates in the sink.  I sighed as i stood up and went to the sink while murmuring,

" seems like Kenny went to take a rest. That's good, because the training plan I have in mind after they get used to the new one will be harsh."

As I finished that thought process, I sensed the two brothers shuddering in their sleep through observation haki before I ignored them and turned on the sink to wash my plate.

A minute later, I was out of the kitchen and on the ship's deck as I thought about the future.

I took a sip out of the cup of rum as I looked at the calm ocean waves that gently swayed the ship from left and right along the wind.

" Thinking about it, now that I have probably put a target on my head by killing Bjorn and defeating Kizaru, the big shots will probably start to move . And they'll most likely come after me due to the potential I displayed in their eyes. "

I grinned as that thought crossed the edges of my lips as the wind started to pick up. Slowly, dark clouds started to gather up in the air as my control over my conqueror's haki momentarily slipped. I took it under control, but instead of just locking it up again like I had been doing all the time, I directed it towards the sky and let it blast out at full capacity.

The sky momentarily turned red and so did the environment around me.It was as if the world itself was a colorless image and some random toddler decided to completely paint it red instead of mixing colors for more variety.

This lasted for a full minute before the red started to slowly disappear and the sun and the environment around me returned to its original color. A moment later, dark clouds ,previously dispersed, started to gather again as the signs of a strong storm started to show themselves.

In response, a grin crept to my face as adrenaline rushed through my brain as I thought about the heights of strength i'll inevitably achieve in the future as I grow older and train more while gaining more combat experience. The grin grew as i softly murmured to a level only i could hear,

" Bjorn's death was the public service announcement, my fight with Kizaru was a strategic taunt and soon, as all the enemies slowly pile up in my lane, I'll have proper stepping stones to grow in strength in the fastest and most efficient way possible. All thanks to this one big number.''

I looked at my bounty poster that had me wearing a straw hat while a red cloak was draped on my back. A small growing grin crept to my face once more as I looked at the price with some pride. I then silently murmured as i leaned on the right side of the deck, sipping on the cup of rum,

" While a number usually wouldn't mean that much to me, a childish part feels accomplished for some reason. Must be my otaku side, afterall, one thing that made me like watching One piece was always the bounty reveal, at least in the earlier arcs. In the later arcs, the different usages of haki and devil fruit abilities along with some good plot and comedy is what kept me around. It certainly was worth it in the end tho. The fight scenes , especially the conquerors' clashes always made me feel it was worth it staying up late at night watching episode after episode.''

I took another sip from my cup of rum as my mind took a short trip down memory lane as I thought about my life back in my old world before I was reincarnated into this body.

I cleared my thoughts the next instant as I then got up and jumped up  towards the lookout and landed with cat-like grace.

I sat down as the wind slowly blew across my face and I looked at the shining sun in the sky.  I smiled before I took another sip of the rum and the cup was empty this time. I sighed as i laid down on the wooden board on the ground, contemplating all the ways I could grow stronger.

" One thing Oda never disappoints is his general take on how certain things that worked in my old world would work in this world. The power system also has a lot of potential .Hmmm, now that I think about it, I could test all the theories the one piece community had on things like haki and devil fruits and see if they had some aspects right. Speaking of haki, I think I finally have a proper theory on  why my conqueror's haki continues to grow. But there's still some things I need to test out before I can truly confirm it. Hmmm, I feel sleepy, seems like i'm not working out today, I knew i shouldn't have drank that much rum. Oh well, let's just take a nap and let it wear out of my system. "

And so I took a nap, a five hour nap, only to get woken up by a dangerous storm.

I stood up and jumped down to the deck as I looked at the approaching storm with boredom. I sighed as i unsheathed my saber from its guard while murmuring in a low tone,

" There really is no rest for the wicked. Oh well". And i swung my saber imbued in emission as i murmured to a level only i could hair,

" Hakoku Sovereignty''. In an instant, a red large wind slash cut the storm into pieces and went on to clear the sky as the sun shined up on me once again. I sheathed my saber as I sighed and went to the kitchen to make some lunch for myself while contemplating my future as a pirate.
