Chapter 2 Memories

The boy was not a stranger anymore all the memories were flooding into my head, hundreds of memories graced my thought then disappeared into the back of my mind. Stunned by it I didn't realise Mal trying to talk to me "hello? are you still in there" he snapped his fingers trying to grab my attention "oh! I'm sorry my mind wandered" Catherine put her hand in my shoulder "are you OK you look a bit pale" she said looking at me "yes I'm fine" I looked down

"so, now that you have your memories back we should leave" Mal said putting his hands in the pockets on his jacket. Catherine looked at him funny "where are you going?" she asked staring at Mal "I need to take her back to father he sent me here to collect her" Catherine put her hands on her hips "she's not an object!" she yelled at Mal, she was very protective of me even though I've only known her for a week "you can come too just don't throw up" Mal turned around both me and Catherine were puzzled "what do you mean Mal?" I asked he sighed

"oh yeah that's right, you won't remember all your spells until later" he walked forward a bit and then placed something on the ground "I'll be back in an hour come back here then" he tapped his foot a few times and a portal opened "how did you do that!" Catherine yelled she came up to it and gave it a poke "it feels like air what kind of magic is this?" Mal rolled his eyes hopped in the portal and like that he was gone.

Catherine and I stared at the portal for a few seconds "hey, if you're coming with us maybe you should go get some things" I suggested

"yeah probably should" we started to walk back. About half way there Catherine asked me "who is that boy to you?"

"He is my brother, we're twins that's why we look the same" Catherine nodded slowly and we stayed in silence for the rest of the walk. When we got the house a voice behind us said "Catherine?" she looked behind her it was Catherine's mother "yes mother?" her mother looked at me "how long will this girl be here for?"

"oh yes she leaving in hour actually I-" she was cut off "that's just great news!" her mother said happily, "mother I'm leaving as well!" her mother frowned

"seriously! who is going to clean for me now!" Catherine sighed and went up to her room I ran up after her she slammed the door in front of me. I peeked into the room "you can come in Yuna" I entered the room and sat on the bed "I hope I don't have to come back here I want to leave for good" Catherine started to shove to shove books,clothed and small trinkets into a bag, she picked up a box on bedside table "my father gave this to me" she opened a sweet melody played from the box "its a beautiful song" Catherine smiled she closed the box and put it in her bag "I really like you Yuna, you're sweet" she propped her bag upon her back and went back outside. We made our way back to the field it hadn't been very long since Mal left but we went back any way, when we got there a child came running from the trees and hugged Catherine "please don't leave sister!" she patted him on the head

"I have to little one" the child sob softly

"everyone will miss you and Mother Anna is to mean!" Catherine lifted him up on her shoulders "I'll come back for you and everyone else later alright?"

"You promise?" Catherine nodded "yay!" the child said Catherine smiled at his happiness "don't tell mother alright" he nodded than ran back into the trees.

About half an hour later Mal came back "OK were leaving" he said

"so do we just walk through it?" I asked Mal nodded " I'll go first" Catherine stepped in the portal I followed after colours swirled all around me I felt nausea from it then a light shone on my eyes as I was being transported across the country.
