8 You will get married whether you like it or not

The following morning,Princess Chu Hua goes to the first prince's place to greet him.

"Pardon me Princess Chu Hua but the first prince said no one should disturb him." The announcer bowed and said.

"What did you say?No one? Do I look like a nobody to you?" Princess Chu Hua said in a harsh tone.

"I am sorry Princess Chu Hua…. but…."

"SMACK!"

The announcer uses his hand to rub his cheek after Princess Chu Hua gives him a hot slap.

"Who do you think you are to stop me? I am the Crown princess to be and you dared to stop me?" Princess Chu Hua said angrily.

"What is all the commotion about?" The first prince said and came outside from his chamber. He gave Princess Chu Hua an angry stare and went back inside.

Princess Chu Hua followed him inside while the servants closed the door and waited outside.

"What was the need to create a scene outside my chamber?" The first prince asked angrily and sat on the chair.

"Even if you don't offer me a seat,I will sit anyway." Princess Chu Hua said, staring at the first prince.

"I am going to be the crown princess soon,if I don't show them my authority then the servants will look down on me.Besides are you going to punish me for a servant?" Princess Chu Hua asked.

"He is actually my servant and I was the one who gave him orders not to let anyone disturb me.Since you are going to be the crown princess,why don't you punish me as well?".

"I want you to remember that you are getting the crown princess title only because of me.It would be better for you to use your brains and focus on the right things instead of annoying me every morning.Please leave now!" The first prince said in a displeasing manner.

Princess Chu Hua grits her teeth in anger.

"I will take my leave now." She bowed and went out of the room.

"Qiao qing!" Princess Chu Hua calls  her maid in anger.

"Yes, Princess Chu Hua".

"Let's go!" Princess Chu Hua tightens her fists in anger and leaves.

"Brother! Brother! catch me". The third prince said, running around the palace garden with the second prince and Princess Mingxia.

"I will catch you first, " Princess Mingxia shouted and laughed.

"What is the meaning of all these?" Empress Song said angrily.

The third prince,the second prince and Princess Mingxia immediately froze at the spot in fear.

"Do you people think you are children? Running around and playing like this".

"Bingwen,have you finished studying?" Empress Song said and fixed her Stern look on the third prince.

"Mo...Mother...I…...I will finish it soon".The third prince said, already trembling in fear.He quickly rushed to his room to continue studying.

"And you Mingxia,you will get married in a couple of years.Is this how you will behave in your in-laws house?"

"You do not know how to play the guqin nor how to knit.What exactly do you want to be useful for?" Empress Song said and shot her an angry gaze.

"Mother,I don't want to get married!" Princess Mingxia cried out and ran away.

"You follow me!" Empress Song ordered the second prince.

Empress Song and the second prince entered the second prince's pavilion.The servants waited outside while Empress Song and the second prince discussed in the room.

"What does mother want to discuss with me?" The second prince asked, smiling and showing all his teeth.

"Stop laughing like that!" Empress Song warned.

"You are the second prince of the Song dynasty.Do you wish to be a laughing stock among the people? Please be more mature and sensible." Empress Song held his hands and calmly pleaded.

"Mother,but I like the way I am". The second prince said.

"Qianfan,I also like the way you are.Carefree and loving.But the world we live in isn't as lovely as you think it is.Especially the palace.You do not know where the arrows of the enemy will come from so you have to be very careful and vigilant".

"Anything can happen in the future my dear son.Brothers can turn against each other and relatives can become a person's biggest nightmare". Empress Song said and stared into space as though she could see a vision.

"This calm and peace in this palace is only the calm before the storm my dear.Please be more vigilant."

"Alright mother,thank you for your advice.I will surely remember what you said." The second prince said and smiled.

"Thank you, my son." Empress Song smiled.

"I have decided that after the first prince's coronation ceremony,I will hold a competition inviting all the eligible daughters of Ministers in order to choose a bride for you".

"But mother…..I do not want to get married now."

"I don't care whether you like it or not,you will get married.And I am warning you,don't try to ruin any of my preparations.Do you understand?"

"Okay mother," The second prince replied disappointedly.

"Huan!" Empress Song called the second prince's bodyguard to the room.

"Yes, Your Royal Majesty" Huan said and bowed.

"The second prince must not try to ruin my plans for his wedding.If he does I will punish you".

"Noted,Your Royal Majesty". Huan replied and bowed.

The second prince looked at Huan and Empress Song then rolled his eyes and stared at the table disappointedly.

"I will leave now". Empress Song said and stood up.

The second prince and Huan bowed and watched her leave.
