18 The Flying Shadow Assassins.

"And where do you think you are going?" Madam Jiang asked when she saw Princess Xiao Ai sneaking into her room.

"Where were you the entire day? And...." Madam Jiang asked and realized Princess Xiao Ai is dressed like a man.

"Why are you dressed in a man's outfit?"

"I.... I had some important work to do.I was dressed in a man's outfit because I didn't want people to recognize me as Jiang Meihui." Princess Xiao Ai replied.

"Alright, just take care of yourself." Madam Jiang said softly and went to her room.

Princess Xiao Ai also goes to her room with Zhan.

"Why are you so happy tonight, Your Royal Highness? Huan asked, looking at The Second Prince suspiciously.

"Why won't I be happy? I got to meet Master Qi Lang today and thanked him for saving us the other night." The Second Prince replied.

"Your Royal Highness, tomorrow is the coronation of the First Prince. Shouldn't you be worried about getting out of the palace?

"I will worry about that later."

Huan stares at The Second Prince in shock.

" Don't you think Master Qi Lang is amazing?" The Second Prince asked, full of smiles while Huan continued to stare at him suspiciously.

"There was something different about him. I don't know how to explain it to Huan…..I don't know why but when I hugged Master Qi Lang….. I felt something." The Second Prince said looking confused.

"And what is that?" Huan quickly asked as he looked at The Second Prince in horror.

"I don't know how to explain it. He….seems more like….  I don't even know anymore." The Second Prince abruptly said.

"Oh no, now I understand the reason why The Second Prince does not want to get married.Is..... Is he interested in men only?" Huan's eyes widened in shock as he thought to himself and stared at The Second Prince in horror.

"No!" Huan shouted while The Second Prince stared at him in surprise.

"You shouldn't have such thoughts about Master Qi Lang. He.... He is a man for goodness sake.You think too much Your Royal Highness.I think you should sleep now." Huan says and forces The Second Prince to sleep.

"What are you saying?" The Second Prince asked in surprise and confusion.

"Sleep now, Your Royal Highness!" Huan went outside and closed the door.

Princess Xiao Ai is sitting on the bed in her room with her hands crossed.She stares at the candle light on the table,deep in her thoughts.

"I should get some sleep now." She mutters and is about to lay down on the bed when she remembers accidentally kissing The Second Prince.She quickly sat up again.

"What on earth am I thinking now?" She said and beat her head with her hand.

"This isn't good for me.I am paying more attention to the people here than what I have come here to do.Speaking of my disciple….. The assassins that attacked him were incredibly skilled.They didn't look like random assassins." Princess Xiao Ai muttered trying to remember something about the assassins.

"Young mistress,you are not asleep." Zhan entered the room and sat down on the chair.

"The flying shadow assassins! Princess Xiao Ai's eyes widened at her realization.

"The flying shadow assassins? What is that?" Zhan asked curiously.

"Why didn't I think about this all this while? Father told me in Western Xia that the flying shadow assassins are the most skilled assassins in Bianjing and that they are controlled by the most influential person in the Song Dynasty." Princess Xiao Ai continued talking to herself ignoring Zhan's presence.

"Young mistress, You are….. You are from Western Xia?" Zhan asked in surprise.
