 I blinked my eyes once. 

Twice. 

Again. 

Again. 

And again. 

"I am really here, Princess." Dante confirmed my suspicion softly, concern taking over his face. "stop with the blinking. I'm not going to disappear." 

"Disappear?" I whispered and repeated it in the word before laughing softly. " How many times has he disappeared?" 

His replied grimly, "He never went away." 

Shock should have sent to me, my legs should have given out in fear, my heart should have stopped beating. All of this should have happened but I did not. 

Instead, I nodded like this was what I had been expecting all along. "Is he here?" If he was, then given his speed I had no chance of escaping. 

"No," he shook his head, "He went weak and had to remove himself for a feed. I volunteered to be here for you." 

"For me?" I pointed to myself, " You make it sound so omnius." 

"It is."
