Mischa finally raised his hand to pat Fae's shoulder, but while his hand was still hanging in the air, the door was knocked twice and entered Sarah who immediately stood rooted in the doorway

"Good afternoon, Sir—" Her cheerful and enthusiastic voice suddenly stuttered, and his face flushed red. "Oh .. uh, I'm sorry. I should have waited to be invited in. I seem to be intruding. I'll go now."

She hurriedly ran outside, leaving Mischa and Fae, who spontaneously took one step backward respectively.
