Fires Inside

      As Ilona marched through the dense jungle towards the beach, she remembered the night so long ago when she and Mason had been camped there, after they had first arrived.  She remembered them kissing in their tent and it progressing to something more.  Mason had gotten to a boiling point and thrown himself off of her, storming out to the ocean and rinsing off in the icy waters.

      Even after he had explained what had happened, Ilona had never quite understood the need for it.

      Until now.

      Now, as Ilona practically ran from him, she understood the terrible longing and excitement that could build up inside her as she kissed and touched Mason.  She recognized the fire he could ignite inside her veins.  She had never stopped to consider what to do with it if they couldn't do the thing they wanted to do.
