Illusion Master II

The eye was one meter big. Arthur felt a chill down his spine while looking at the eye. He had a feeling that the eye could see through all his secrets. The eye narrowed a little while looking at Arthur but soon it ignored him and concentrated on the book which appeared after the monster was killed.

'Weird, I felt that this human was looking at me. But this isn't possible. He is just a weak human. I should finish my task given by the master as soon as possible. There is also this weird feeling of being watched from the moment I intruded in this human's mind.' This was the eye looking illusion spirit's thought.

'So this eye wants to find out who took the book. It intruded in my mind and is checking my memories. The prince should be behind this. He really is a stubborn person.' Arthur clicked his tongue in annoyance.

Arthur couldn't let others know that he took the book. If the prince found out that it was Arthur who took the book then his end surely wouldn't be good.

'But why did this eye ignored me? Did it think I can't cause any harm to it. No, maybe it's somehow related to the cube. The cube had also appeared before me in that place that was filled with darkness before I came here. Anyways, I should first focus on this thing. I can't let it go.'

Arthur quietly approached the eye from behind. It was still looking at the book. Soon Arthur was behind it, ready to attack. At this moment the previous owner had been killed. Suddenly black smoke filled their surroundings but it quickly vanished in the next second. The eye watched as the new Arthur searched the bodies of the two teachers and just when Arthur picked up the book the eye started to disappear.

Arthur immediately attacked. The eye gave a weird scream filled with pain. But it was not because of the attack. Even though it was a surprise attack it couldn't kill the eye. It is because of the attack that the eye's ability was forcefully stopped and it suffered a grivous injury

Panic, surprise, pain and anger filled its mind. If the eye could speak it would have roared loudly 'How is this possible?!' It couldn't understand how the person whose mind it intruded could attack it. It felt a little surprised when the human first appeared here. It had checked him and found nothing wrong. The eyes of the human were in daze meaning he was sleeping. Thinking it may be a coincidence the eye ignored it. But the human being able to attack it means that he is completely awake.

Thinking about how it ignored him when he first appeared, the human must be laughing at him at that moment. It was filled with fury thinking about this and the pain from its injuries acted as an oil to fire. It decided to kill the human right now. Arthur found that he wasen't able to move and also couldn't use lighting. The eye tried to attack but suddenly it felt a lot of pain and it fell on the ground and then its mind cleared. Its anger was gone. Only calmness remained. This is the mechanism that an illusion master puts in an illusion spirit and it activates whenever it tries to disobey its master. With this whenever a spirit trues to disobey its master it will feel very much pain. Then its mind clears so that it can think logically. In case an enemy uses magic and controls a spirit to make it attack its master, the mechanism activates and it gets released from the control of the enemy.

The eye was ordered to check for the book in students' memories and they should not be injured in this process. As it tries to disobey the command the mechanism actiavted. As the illusion spirit's mind cleared it, uneasiness came over it. When it had first appeared in the boy's mind it got a feeling of being watched but couldn't find from where. But now it felt that the thing that was watching it was coming near and near and with it coming nearer the illusion spirit also felt fear of something which was worse than the fear of death.

The illusion spirits are a type of spirits which can be summoned from the spirit world and can only be summoned by a few people including illusion masters. The life goal of an illusion spirit is to find an appropriate master for itself. Illusion spirits fear death, this is true but if a list is made then the fear of death is on fourth number for illusion spirits. But it is only if they die without a master.

In case of a spirit having a master, dying for their master is a thing of pride for them. They think that it is their duty to die for their master. The third biggest fear of spirits is to die together with their master. Whenever a master dies, the illusion spirits under him also dies. The spirits fear watching their master's death.

The second fear is to turn against their master, that is becoming traitors. But this mostly happens only if the master is treating the spirit very badly. Then there is the first biggest fear which the illusion spirit looking like an eye was feeling right now. Its is the fear of refinement. This happens when a person refines someone's spirit and became its master himself.

In this case, the illusion spirits changes a lot. They will feel nothing wrong while attacking their previous master. They only thought of it as their duty. Changing masters and attacking the one who summoned them, one who fulfilled their wish of getting an appropriate master, this was the most horrible thing for a spirit. More horrible thing is that the spirit itself after refining will feel that there is nothing wrong with it. They will think it is a good thing as their new master wanted them so he refined them. And this was the fear the eye spirit was feeling now. It had to escape otherwise it will get refined!

Even though it was getting treated badly by its master which can be seen from the mechansim. Because if a master tries, the bond between a master and an illusion spirit becomes so strong that an enemy will never be able to control it. If the bond is very strong then the spirit can't be refined by someone.

Mechanism is used by those who think that making a bond is a pain. So they simply put a mechanim in the spirit and let is feel pain. The pain felt by the mechanism can be adjusted but most people chose the most pain option. That creates another bond but it is made of pain and fear. The chances of becoming a traitor also increase due to this.

This master of this illusion spirit, Maurice Austin also chose the maximum pain option. The eye felt so much pain at that it even fell to the ground. It is also beaten by its master whenever he is angry. But still he is the master.
