Chapter Nineteen : Feels

Xia was in her room trying to sleep. She was jolted because of the catastrophic event that occurred. The dreary images of the whole episode was playing in her mind involuntarily. She couldn't even close her eyes she was horrified by the gruesome experience.

She was twisting and turning in her bed when her eyes fell on the open window. She remembered her dad closing the window before leaving maybe he didn't close it properly. She got up from the bed, as she drew the curtains at side to close the window a big ball of furs jumped in her arms.

She catapult that ball and stepped away from the window.

She turned on the lights of her room and saw that wasn't a ball but a cat, it was Timmy.

"What the hell are you doing here?,"she yelled at the cat, who was now sitting on her bed.

Timmy gave no response to her. She stared at it for few seconds thinking how to make him leave her room but seeing it play with her stuff bunny made her change her mind. She sighed and went to close the window. She eyes fell on a figure while closing the window and when she carefully noticed, Orion was standing outside looking directly at her.

Well! This was awkward!

"What is he doing here?," she thought to herself, didn't he know about our family feud! Dad will kill him if he saw him here.

"Should I invite him in or let him be there?," she thought to herself. This guy saved her life so she felt there's no harm in inviting him in.

She decided to ask him to come inside. She hiked to her desk, wrote something on a paper, went back to the window and threw the paper at him.

Orion catched that paper and opened it to read. He chuckled at it, it was written *you can come in but stealthily like a ninja*.

He within a second was sitting on the window giving a charming smile.

"Can I come in ma'am?," he asked raising his one eyebrow.

"Yes," she scoffed.

He got off the window and stood in front of her. He was looking so enchanting though he was dressed casually in a grey sweatshirt and black trousers. His hair were messy which kinda looked sexy and his beautiful eyes didn't looked that arrogant as it usually does.

She eyed him for a while.

"So you're going to examine me all night or you gonna offer me to have a seat?," he asked with sarky tone.

"Oh yeah. Have a seat," she indicated the bean bag which was behind him.

Timmy joined his master. Now he was sitting on his lap.

"You too can you sit know it's your house and by the way nice room," he chuckled.

His husky voice and the way he talks is so different from others. Well he is a vampire its part of their traits to be stupidly hot and charming.

Xia was totally freaking out now. Earlier she would have retorted back with catty replies but now when she knows the guy sitting in front of her was a vampire, she didn't want to say anything reckless. Like being a vampire was not bad enough, to make it more exacerbate he was a royal. She had no idea what do to now!

At first place she don't even know why she invited him in her room, her dad had already told her to stay away from him and his kind. She was sitting in her bed like a statue.

"Girl breathe. I am not here to kill you," he smirked.

His presence was intimidating Xia that she completely lost her senses. She was acting like a dumb girl.

She sighed. "Then why are you here?," she asked.

"Just to make sure you are okay," he replied with a smile. Today he was different from other days. He was nicer today and answering politely which was kinda hard for Xia to digest.

"I'm fine. Thanks for saving me," she replied.

She was so nervous she started to play with her hair and trying to avoid any kind of eye contact.

"It's okay," he responded with a small smile.

There was silence between them till Timmy decided to tear the bunny's ear.

"You chubster! Give my bunny back," Xia roared.

Orion laughed looking at both of them chasing each other.

"I can see you both are getting really well,' he said with an amusing look.

Timmy took that bunny with it and jumped on the top of her cupboard.

"Tell me one thing why this creepy beast is always following?," She frowned.

"I guess he likes you," he chuckled.

"Oh please! I don't like him at all. Tell this elephant to stay away from me," she said ferociously.

"Calm down. He is harmless. I am serious he is quite fond of you. Don't call him by these names he is bit sensitive. He is trying to be your friend in his own way," he responded while trying to control his laugh.

She gazed at the cat and it was looking at her too, she now felt may be she over reacted. It was just a cat so obviously it'll behave like a cat only. Plus it was kinda funny how Timmy teased her so she thought to give the cat a chance.

"Alright," she mumbled.

"The way your heartbeat is racing right now it stavel out your told you about us," he said with blank face.

She don't know how to respond so she just nod.

"So how you feel about it? Any queries?," he asked.

He just wanted her to be okay. The only reason he came to talk to her so that he can tell her everything and to make sure she process the information without freaking out. Now when she already knows the only things left to do for him is to pacify the situation so that she doesn't end up hating his being, especially Gordon. He kinda feel responsible for exposing Gordon, it was because of him she got kidnapped in the first place. Somewhere between all this he didn't want Xia to hate him.

"No really. I mean I have been hearing a lot of things about you guys," she answered still not looking at him.

"I see. Well I must say you're really calm considering whatever you have been through in past forty eight hours," he remarked raising his one eyebrow.

"What kind of reaction you want from me? I really have no idea how I should feel after all that. Being kidnapped was one thing but when you discover that your kidnappers are vampire and not only that but your best friends too. List doesn't ends here you too, your other brother plus your whole family! I mean tell me how should I feel about that?

Oh well this doesn't ends here! My family hates your family and vice versa. My parents are panicked because of your family's presence in this town. I have strict orders not to hang around with you guys. How am I supposed to stay away from my best friends? So you tell me what should I do?," she replied with gloomy tone. This time she was looking at him directly in the eyes.

He wished he could somehow comfort her but that was not his forte but still he was trying.

"First of all breathe okay," he smiled

He was kind of relaxed now. He got to know what was going on her mind. He can now answer her and explain his side.

"See the differences are between elders. This is their matter and they will deal with it. It has nothing to with this generation. Did for even once Gordon or Tora tried to hurt you? Can one thing change the bonding between you guys? No matter what they are your friends and they will always be. So don't let this thing spoil your friendship.

Right now Gordon and Tora are also worried about how you will react. So just act normal. There is nothing to be afraid of. No one will harm you I promise," he stated with serious look.

He was looking in her eyes. He wanted her to feel safe around them. He don't know why he is doing all these efforts to make her feel alright but he just can't bear the thought of her hating him or be scared around him. He started to like her company and their little teasing session.

"Can I ask you one thing?," she said with serious tone.

"Of course," he replied with a smile.

"Why did you lied to me when I asked you about that night when I found you in the sea?," she questioned with a sad expression.

"I don't wanted you to get involved in all this for your safety only," he answered with a grim face.

"Yeah! I can understand. I got kidnapped because of saving you," she yelled.

She was trying not to tell this to anyone but now she got irritated. This fool was thinking that he is protecting me and what happened was totally opposite of it, she screamed in her head

"What?," Orion was thunderstruck.

"Yes. Those men were asking me why I saved you and did I saw anyone  throwing you in the sea," she replied with furious eyes.

"What did you tell them?," he asked.

He was trying to process what Xia just told him and trying to make some connections with that information maybe he can finally find out who tried to kill him and now Xia.

"Nothing. I am not dumb okay plus I literally didn't see anyone's face and I saved you because that would anyone do," she responded and looked side wise.

"Did they asked you anything else?," he questioned.

"No. I was passed out half of the time. Do you know who were they? Or those people who attacked you? ," she said.

"No," he replied.

"Then why they attacked you?," she asked.

"Because I'm the heir," he said monotonously.

"I can understand that," she said with a sympathetic look.

All her life she has been hiding her identity because of the same reason only she understands the pain.

"Alright. Now you should get some rest. You look enervated. Good night," he got up and went towards window.

"Tada. Good night," she replied.

"And Timmy will stay with you. That's your gift for saving my life," he stated with a smirk.

"No wait," she tried to stop him.

"No need to thank me," he said and left.

She glanced at window there was no one. She gazed back at Timmy who was still sitting on the cupboard with the bunny, she sighed and thought how she is going to tell her mum about Timmy.

She yawned and went to back thinking she will deal with it tomorrow.
