10 The second attempt

After the laughter crisis subsided, Herick looked into her eyes and said:

—  I really enjoy your company, I am very pleased with your personal and professional profile.

Nathalia smiled and said nothing, but she thought:

(He must do this with everyone, trying to go to bed with them, but anyway, it's been a long time since I had a good laugh; I'm kind of grateful for getting this mission; he's not that stupid)

She had already won the day with that joke, but then she asked:

—  What happened? Why do you have an irremovable shield on your arm?

Herick shamelessly lied, knowing that this lie would not fool even a child, much less a spy.

But he lied anyway:

—  It's a national heirloom, I found it in the presidential vault, I was curious, and I took it, and that's it, a shield that doesn't come off.

Nathalia knew it was a lie, everything indicated it was a lie, even his microexpressions screamed: - It's a lie!

But she didn't break the lie, it wasn't worth it, and she also thought that a shield wouldn't make much of a difference.

It was so irrelevant that she didn't even want to report it to Nick Fury, it was actually funny; Herick had to wear one sleeve and one without anything, or a suit, in his case, because he was going to have a meeting at the congress; which, in reality, was requested by himself.

And he arrived at the congress, with all the senators, deputies, and councilors.

It was packed, some people were standing, and it was crowded like an anthill; all of this was being broadcasted live to all Brazilians, and as a "hot topic", it was being shown live in major countries.

Herick began a formal speech, but everyone was actually looking at the shield; it was very comical.

But Herick soon dropped a bomb on everyone present:

—  The people want an answer, the former president; embezzled from the public coffers and stole the people's savings; no matter where he is; from today on, Brazil offers fifteen thousand for his head, dead or alive; besides that, the federal police; will expose all of their assets to the public, and if everything is in order.

Herick took a sip of water, and everyone was shocked to see him drink half a liter, and then he continued:

—  If everything is fine, and you have legitimate reasons for your assets, everything will become property of the government, for your own security; and the government will give you the same amount you had before; I do this with the authority given to me by the people.

Herick took a breath and said:

—  And if you surrender now, the penalty will be lighter, but if corruption schemes are found, the penalty will be 40 years, with no chance of bail, and if money laundering for drug trafficking is found.

Herick paused mysteriously, and said:

—  Brazil will follow the law of the criminals, betrayal means death; to serve as an example and all the assets involving you and your family will be seized by the government...

Herick was about to continue his speech, but a councilman drew his gun and fired a shot.

When Black Widow saw this, she ran and threw herself on Herick; but since she was previously in a very distant position, she couldn't reach them in time.

When she fell onto Herick to deflect the bullet, Herick had already been shot, in the abdomen, but only a little blood came out, superficially, but Black Widow panicked.

If there is one thing that everyone in the world can't forget, it is Herick's order, if I am assassinated, set fire to the Amazon, more than half of the audience wanted this councilman's head; even the presidents who were watching.

But the most interesting thing is that the person who cared the most was three villains, Joker, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn; each for different reasons.

Joker was angry because he liked the fact that Herick brought chaos, he looked at him as a chaos agent just like him; and he was his greatest companion, you can't understand how Joker thinks.

Harley Quinn; because she saw in Herick someone crazier than Joker.

Joker here hadn't done anything noteworthy, and all his plans were disrupted; what he wanted was to break Gotham, but Herick wanted to break the whole world.

And he was more handsome than her "puddin," and had a high position in society; instead of playing with Super-Heroes, he played with the whole world; anyway, who can understand the way she thinks?

What made Joker angrier? That Herick gave him inspiration, and he wanted to repay him with a little laughing gas, but in small doses; to make sure that Herick was an ally.

But the angriest villain was Poison Ivy, who was thinking:

(The biggest protector of my little ones died; I guess the world doesn't deserve my darlings, I never thought that someone's death would make me sad, I think I should end my cherished ones; and kill all rotten humanity; they will start growing again after that, and they will rule the world)

She was thinking while crying, yes, she was crying; something that made her cry was Herick's death, and the other thing is the difficult decision she made, the most difficult of her life.

And she would start with the Amazon, the forest that Herick wanted to protect so much; she would make the world suffer for this foolish choice.

Herick would even feel a little proud to have the admiration of these two beautiful women, especially Hera, who wasn't so crazy; but if he knew that Joker was very sad about him and worried.

He would feel a chill down his spine, and would want to kill that clown, one for that clown liking him, because for that clown to become a rapist is a small step; and two for wanting to drive him crazy.

As for the other two, it would be very pleasant to end the conversation with them in bed.

{Author's note: I'm sorry to my female readers, I know it's disrespectful to you, but I have to build Herick's character and make his personality clear}

But at that moment, Herick felt a refreshing breath on his face, from one of the most beautiful women in the world; pressed against him on the ground, Herick had had strong interactions with women only a few times, so his body quickly reacted.

Herick was eager, wanting to kiss the woman in front of him, Nathalia felt something growing near her belly, and getting very big; feeling this, she thought:
