42 The Girl In Floral Dress

Xio Hanxi was still laughing frantically that he needed to take a leak and just as he did, a tall and handsome man with an aura of a monarch came walking towards the private room together with two armed soldiers as his escort.

"Ah, General Lei. Good morning! They have been waiting for you. Please, come inside."

"Gao Rou, good morning. You should be joining this meeting with the family. It is very important for Lu Fang's safety."

"Yes, General Lei. When my colleague comes back, I shall join you."

When Xio Hanxi came back Gao Rou instructed him to keep watch from outside. "Stay here and I'll ask one the men to come up and accompany you."

"Who are those?" He pointed out to the soldiers just meters away from them.

"Ah, those are the escorts of our VIP guest."

Xio Hanxi did not think much of it and went back to his post.

Inside the private room, the family was discussing the recent attempts to Lu Fang's life including the results of General Lei's take over the Ace of Spades.

"Gideon was very hard to crack but eventually, he gave in and we had traced the job request from a man in Tianjin." General Lei handed out the name and photo of a young man to the family.

"The man is a simple public servant, thus, I suspect that he could only be a front. So we are still looking into this. However, what surprised me, was most of the intel on Lu Fang's location and even getting entry to the office was from sent inside Lu-Wei Enterprises."

"What did you say? We have a mole in the office?" Lu Wei furiously asked.

Lu Fang did not look surprised, this was already revealed by Andrea but they were still collecting pieces of evidence against Liu Min. After hearing this, he realized they could not wait for more admissible evidence and they needed to take matters in their own hands dealing with Mr. Liu.

"Father we already told you it was Liu Min, but you wanted us to have solid proof so we were waiting to gather a few more, but this time, I will be patient no more. It's his life against mine. I will have to take Liu Min to Gabriel's Den."

The father and son then agreed to look at the surveillance videos they had gathered against Liu Min later in the day. For now, they had to set it aside to resume their discussion with the General.

"Whoever is behind this is taking it a notch higher. He started with silent approaches to get to Lu Fang and when it did not work, he is resorting to valiant methods."

"The attacks are just a few days apart so, I suggest Lu Fang make drastic changes to his daily routine for them not find an opportunity to orchestrate a plan, if not at least make things difficult for them."

"I suggest not coming to the office, for the time being, go outside the country or take an unplanned vacation! Just make sure to bring along with you the best of your security team."

"General Lei, a vacation? What if they attack my family instead?" Lu Fang protested.

"You don't have to be away so long. Just make it harder for them to find you, that is what I am suggesting and about security? I will be adding an entire platoon of my men at your disposal."

The family was stunned hearing General Lei offer an entire platoon to aid them but was happy to accept.

Christina Lu was seriously thinking about General Lei's suggestion and knew it would be hard to make Lu Fang leave the country… Unless... He was with someone special? "Lu Fang, dear. Why don't you go with your girlfriend? Take a trip somewhere?"

General Lei was stunned to hear this and immediately applauded the man. "This is unbelievable! I was thinking you were going to turn out like me. Haha. Congratulations, Lu Fang."

"Hmmm… Thank you. General Lei. I feel very lucky myself. You will probably meet her as she is joining us today."

"Really? I look forward to meeting her then."

Just as when the food was being served, a knock on the door was heard and it did not take long for Andrea to come in and greet everyone. "Good morning again. Mr. and Mrs. Lu. Mr. Lu Jie, good morning. I am Andrea Li."

The name Andrea Li was like music to General Lei Dong's ears that he immediately stood up to look closely at the girl in a floral printed green dress. He instantly heard his heart beating faster than normal and felt his hands starting to sweat. It had been months since he saw her and now, without a plan, he managed to finally meet her again.

Lu Fang was also admiring the arrival of his babe. It was the first time he saw Andrea in a dress. The clothing was a bit loose and did not show off her curves but the slightly plunging neckline highlighted her fair skin and slender neck.

The man was grinning from ear to ear as he approached Andrea and gave her a peck on the cheek. He immediately held her hand and introduced her to the people in the room.

"Grandfather this is Andrea, my girlfriend. Mom, Dad, you already met her earlier. General Lei, this is my girlfriend, Andrea."

General Lei's heart sank. It sank so deep that his entire platoon of men could be well buried under. The girl he had been waiting for an entire 2 years was just taken by another man. Worst, a man whom he considers as a comrade and an ally. How could he ever bring himself to go against Lu Fang?

In the opposite direction, a girl in Lu Fang's arm was slightly shaken worried about the truths that were about to unfold in this early lunch.
