5 An Awkward Morning, True Friends? Eren's Success?

The sun then kisses the grass and gleams off the lake as I slowly open my eyes, "What the, where am I?" Laying next to me, asleep, inches from me, I see Historia's stunning face."

This shocks me. I then look down and notice her hand resting on my arm and my uniform's jacket laying over her like a blanket. Her beautiful blonde hair glistened in the orange light of the sunlight.

The sight takes my breath away. I am completely stunned. I can feel the heart in my chest beating ever so intensely. My blood floods to my face turning it bright red.

Suddenly I am broken out of my thoughts by the realization that we're not in our bunks. "Oh shit. We're so dead."

I then reach over and shake Historia awake. She opens her eyes to the sight of me above her shaking her shoulder gently. Her face suddenly turns bright red, "I-Izuna!?"

"We need to go now!" I reply terrified.

She suddenly looks confused, "What are you....." Her eyes open wide as she realizes what's going on. Hearing this she darts to her feet along with me. She then tosses me my jacket and we begin to sprint back towards camp.

As we run I pull my jacket on. Honestly, it's lucky that we both decided to wear our uniforms to the lake.

After 10 minutes of intense sprinting we finally reach camp. Lucky for us, it seems that the rest of the Cadets are still in the bunkers and getting ready for the day.

I turn to her, "Yo, see you at the training field. You want me to call you Krista right?"

She nods, "Yah, thanks. See you at the field."

She then sprints off to the girls cabins while I do the same to the boys.

As I reach the door, I attempt to open only to realize, "Shit. Some bastard locked it!" In desperation I pound on the door and look through the small window at the top of the door. As I do so, I can see Jean chilling leaning against the wall nearby looking directly at me.

I then wave, gesturing desperately for him to let me in. Then, what I see next pisses me off. He then gives me a shit eating grin.

I then continue to look around and see Eren coming towards the door. Once he gets a little closer and sees that it's me he dashes towards it. Jean, steps in front of him and starts to say something, but then something that I don't expect happens.

Armin dives and tackles jean from the legs causing him to fall over. Eren, dashes past and begins to unlock the door. From just around the corner I hear the Sargent coming. 'Crap crap crap!!!'

Just as I hear him about to round the corner, the door swings open, "Get in." Eren states. Without wasting a second I jump inside and Eren closes the door behind me. "Thanks."

He nods, "Yah what are friends for. You should thank Armin though. I think that's the first time I've ever seen him actually attack someone.

Armin stands and simply nods. I nod back. I would thank him properly, but at that moment, the door swings open. "What the hell is going on in here you little maggots." He shouts the instant he sees Jean on the ground with a scowl.

He sighs, "Nothing sir. I just tripped and fell. Nothing I can't handle sir."

The sargent looks him up and down before nodding. "Alright brats get to the mess hall in 10." He then turns and slams the door.

THe moment it closes I turn to Jean with a look of surprise, "Yo. Why didn't you sell us out"

Jean sighs before standing up, "I don't like you three. But I'm no snitch. If I get back at you, it won't be through tattling to the Sargent." He then turns to Eren and Armin, "That goes for you two too."

He then turns and heads out the door followed by Marco. The others file out a few more minutes before it's just the three of us. We slowly begin to walk towards the the mess hall when Eren asks, "Where the hell were you."

I then sheepishly rub the back of my head remembering the events of lat night and this morning. "It's.... Complicated." I reply.

Armin shakes his head, "We just saved your ass. You better give us more than that."

Hearing this I sigh, "I was down by the lake in the woods and fell asleep. When I woke up I realized what the hell was going on and I sprinted back as fast as I could."

The two of them chuckle, "Dumbass." Eren replies.
