1 Time to begin

Hi, my name is Max Sathe. I'm 16 years old, 6 feet tall, in good shape. I usually wear a black hoodie and a normal pair of jeans. Currently I am in line to see if i can go to school, but first let me tell you about my world.

So about two months ago everything was normal. People go to school or work, and everything revolved around science. But at midnight the sky turned blue and around 80% of the population was gone, and the world doubled in size. My entire family disappeared A few days later the 80% was replaced with human like beings. My home was taken by a pair of Neko's (Cat people with a human body but cat ears and tail). They said that that I can stay with them but I ran away before I even saw their faces. I ran away cause I felt like I did not belong. I learned that most of the people were commoners but there was some nobles. The nobles took over the government because when they came to my world they brought magic. The nobles separated Earth (not counting the new area that appeared) into multiple different parts for each kind. They built a three schools in the new place (the new place is a big forest), The first School is the Caster school, a place for people with magic to learn spells. The second school is the Combat school, a place for people who have a good and strong bodies to learn how to use weapons. The third school is the Summoner school, for people with the ability to summon other beings. When they took over the world some humans noticed that they can use magic as well. Some times people have to go to the test in order to know if they have any power.

I walked into an empty white room that only have a chair next to a big black cube of some kind. I sat down and the cube said in a robotic voice "Place your hands in the holes" then two holes opened up on the cube. I placed my hands in the holes and a weird tingle feeling came from my hands. The next five minutes was silence. Then I heard the cube say "You can go to the Caster School". I walked outside and to a bridge. Under the bridge was a rock about the size of a tire and I touched it and the rock moved to the side and there was a hole. I got into the hole and in the hole was a room with about 20 cubic feet of room and two blankets on the floor. I found this place when I saw a person crawl out. Apparently he used earth magic to make it. I lie down thinking, I am only a rank D, I have heard from others that you get a strange feeling in you body and it gets stronger the stronger you are. It took me a few hours but I finally went to sleep.

The next day I packed up my blankets and left the hole. When I was a few feet away from it the hole collapsed. I thought to myself "Lucky me" and walked off to the forest.

(5 Days Later)

I made it to the border, there were guards all around and you can only get in if you are going to school or hunting. I walked over to a guard dressed in a black suit. "Can you tell me the best way to get to the Caster school?" I asked. "See that sign there?" he said as he pointed to a green sign. "That is the safest path you can take if you want to get to school before it starts" He said as he was walking off. I started to walk in the path and found a pack of at least Rank 4 monsters, I know they are Ranked at least 4 because the have intelligence. I sneak past them and continued the path.

(6 Days Later)

I'm only 3 days away from school. when I heard a scream. I don't know why but I ran to the scream. I got there and saw five people covered in blue cloaks. They were fighting a big wolf with a purple horn on its head. The person in front was swinging a sword while the two in the middle were chanting for fireballs. The last two in the back watched, one taller then the other. The taller one screamed, "You call yourselves knights! you can't take down a rank 3 beast!". "Clearly he doesn't know how to rank monsters, he doesn't even feel that kind of magic power" I said to myself. I watch for a bit and saw the knights using B ranked magic that only gave the wolf a scratch. I was staring at the wolf then a robotic voice in my head said "Thunder Wolf, a ranked 6 lighting magic beast. Its skin is hard because of the lighting enchantment it adds to itself. Its weak spot is on the back of its head behind its horn.". I tried to ask it to speak again but it did not. I jumped down and ran to them. The sword knight ran between me and the two who did nothing. "Stop!" he yelled. I stopped and looked at him and the voice in my head said "Sir Stex, a rank A Knight. He uses physical enhancement and holy protection to fight close combat and uses sword Slash to hit medium ranged targets". I said "Sir Stex, I came to help you." He looked at me and I saw ice energy going to his sword. I don't know why but I grabbed the sword out of his hand and ran behind the wolf. While the wolf was gathering lighting energy to its horn, I stabbed behind the horn and the head started shaking. I didn't get the sword out as I jumped back before the head exploded only leaving the torso and the legs left.

I walked up to Sir Stex and said "Sorry about your sword". He laughed and said " no worries kid, that sword only cost a few silver. I have a spare". As he said that he took off his hood, He had brown hair and brown wolf ears and gray eyes. He reached out his hand and a small purple portal appeared were he was reaching and pulled out a simple sword. "Space storage?" I asked. "Yes, how do you know?" Stex asked. "I have seen people use space bags and rings to put a lot of stuff in it" I said. Just the taller one in the back yelled "Stex! how dare you talk to a commoner!". "He just saved us be a bit more grateful" said a sweet voice next to him. I saw Stex go to what was left of the body and cut it open, he pulled out a purple orb. "Yes. My first monster core. give it to me" Said the tall noble who is still in his cloaks. Stex walked past him and handed me the orb. The voice in my head said "Lighting core, Rank 6". The Noble said "Im prince Apex of the Moon Valley Kingdom and you don't listen to me!". "You know the rules, the person who kills the monster gets the core and don't get so cocky when we get to school" said the sweet voice. "So kid, are you going to the Combat school?" Sir Stex asked "with those skills you will be the best". "No I'm going to the Caster school' I said. "Why don't you come with us? We are going to the Caster school as well" said the sweet voice. "What is your name?" I asked her. "My name is Luna." she said. "I'll go with you" I said as I started heading that way. "I refuse to let a commoner walk with my girlfriend" Apex yelled.

"Your his girlfriend?" I asked a little let down. "I am but its only because of our parents saying that, by parents I mean the kings" Luna said. We were walking on the way to school. The only thimg that was weird on the walk was that everyone besides me and Mr. Stex kept wearing their cloaks.
