22 Chapter 22: Hero Names
A/N: 5th and Final chapter of the updating spree for this week, hope you enjoy

Friday was another day off. Being sober now, Ren decided to go gym to do something productive. He messaged the third years with Mirio being the only one able to go so they did arms, chest, and back.
After going their separate ways, Ren went back home and decided to do absolutely anything until it was time for him to sleep.
It's now Saturday, the day where school would return to normal for all students. Ren arrived at school after having to deal with a barrage of people recognising him for the Sports Festival and asking him for his autograph or number and whatnot.
As he entered the class, he saw everyone talking with one another about their experience of coming to school today with all the new fans they garnered from the Sports Festival.
"Mornin' guys" Ren greeted as he walked over to his seat and sat down after asking Toru politely to get out of his seat, "Hey, Toru..." His words caused the class to go silent as they looked at him.
"...Why'd you all go silent!? Keep talking!" He bickered as he didn't like the silence and stares he received, "Anyway..." He sighed as he turned to Toru who was standing in front of his desk, "You know how you're invisible and all?"
"Yeah? I mean, that is my quirk!" She chuckled softly at her little joke.
"Do you know what you look like since you're invisible?" He asked bluntly, causing the class to go silent again as they too were interested in knowing the answer.
"Um... y-yeah, ahaha..." Though her face wasn't visible, obviously, it was clear that she got sad at Ren's words which caused most of the class to turn on Ren as they berated him for his question.
"The hell!? It was just a question!" He shouted back, "Anyway, do you mind meeting me round the back of school at lunch?" He requested to Toru, causing most of the class to have shocked faces.
"Okay...?" Toru answered in confusion before Aizawa entered and greeted the class as he beckoned everyone to get to their seats.
"Oi oi oi, is Ren gonna do what I think he is?" Some of the boys began to gossip with the girls, before Aizawa finally snapped and told the class to shut up.
"Anyway, we've got Hero Informatics class class today. And a special one at that... You'll be coming up with your hero aliases" Aizawa announced causing the class to erupt into a cheer of excitement, "Alright, settle down goddam it, you're too loud!" He complained causing the class to go silent, "Thank you...
But before the naming, as you probably remember, I mentioned the fact that you can be scouted by heroes who watched the Sports Festival" He then snapped his fingers and a list of names with numbers beside them appeared on the board behind him, "Here're the complete draft pick numbers"
Looking at the top 3 students with a predominant number of choices, Ren could be seen with over 5000, Todoroki with over 4000, and Bakugo over 3000. And then Tokoyami and everyone else had below 500.
"There's typically more a spread, but it seems are top 3 stole the spotlight this year" Aizawa commented as the class murmured amongst one another about the results, "With that settled... whether you were picked or not doesn't matter, as you'll all have the chance to work under heroes.
Now, moving on to the names, this is where I leave..." Aizawa opened the door and left the class as Midnight, the Rated-R heroine, entered the class glamorously.
"The name you pick now... may be what the world ends up calling you for the rest of your lives as heroes" Midnight said as she struck a pose in front of the class, "You all have 15 minutes to come up with name ideas, chop chop!" She clapped her hands after having handed out every student a whiteboard and pen.
15 minutes later, Aoyama stood in front of the class and revealed his whiteboard, "Shining Hero: I cannot stop twinkling" He held up his whiteboard and received advice from Midnight to remove the 'I' and shorten the 'cannot' to 'can't'
Next was Ashido, who held up her board before being told to sit back down and rethink her name choice by Midnight.
"Can I go next?" The class was frightened to stand up and say their name ideas out of fear of rejection, until Asui raised her hand and spoke up.
Midnight nodded and Asui went up to the front and revealed, "Rainy Season Hero: Froppy" Midnight highly complimented the name and told Asui to sit back down.
And so, the class all got their hero names.
"Ren, it's your turn" Midnight said as she allowed Ren to stand up to the front.
"This is my hero name!" He said with a smile as he turned around his whiteboard to reveal to the class "The Limitless Hero: Mugen!" He announced.
"Sounds cool, good job!" Midnight complimented with a clap of her hands, "You can sit down now-"
"KING EXPLOSION MURDER EMPEROR THE THIR-" Bakugo interrupted with a loud shout before Midnight took off her shoe and threw it at Bakugo's head in disapproval.

With Midnight's naming session being over, Aizawa came back to tell the class they would have until next week Saturday to decide which hero they wanted to work under, with the Monday right after being the start of their internships.
He then handed out pieces of paper to all the students with hero that either chose them, or people that are willing to accept students who weren't chosen by a hero.
After the other classes, it was time for lunch and the designated meet-up time for Toru and Ren.
Toru walked to the back of the school where she saw Ren standing there waiting for her.
- PoV Switch -
Kirishima, Kaminari, Sero, Ashido, and a few of the other girls and guys from class 1-A followed Toru and Ren to their meetup as they watched them from a distance.
"Oooo! Are we gonna have our first couple of the year?!" Ashido said excitedly.
"We don't know!" Kaminari and Kirishima shouted back, "You've repeated yourself like 5 times! How are we supposed to know!? Just watch!" Kaminari said in anticipation as they all turned their attention to Ren and Toru talking.
Suddenly, about a minute or so into the conversation they saw Toru bring her arm up to her face and heard the faint sound of crying coming from her direction.
"That bastard! How dare he make Toru cry!" Ashido said angrily as she revealed herself and ran in Ren's direction and sent a flying highkick towards his face, "Bastard!"
"Huh?" Ren, fortunately, was quick enough to activate infinity in time to prevent being kicked in the face by an angered Ashido, "The hell!? Why're you tryna kick me!?" He shouted in frustration.
"E-Eh! A-Ashido!?" Toru was equally as confused as Ren when she saw Ashido attempt to kick Ren's face.
"Don't worry, Toru! Us girls are here for you!" Ashido said with a smile as she grabbed her shoulders.
Toru and Ren looked in the direction Ashido came from to see the girls and guys who stalked them walk over.
"So you guys are stalking us now, huh?" Ren asked in dissatisfaction as he gave his classmates the stink eye.
"U-Uh..." Kaminari panicked a little, "It's not what it looks like...?" He asked before Ren punched his arm, "Why didn't that work!? It usually works in the movies!!"
"Toru, are you okay?!" The girls asked in worry as they surrounded Toru who started to panic.
"G-Guys! There's been a misunderstanding!" Toru pushed them away before wiping her tears which was made clear by the wet patches on her arm sleever.
"Huh?" Everyone except Ren and Toru tilted their heads in confusion, waiting for an explanation.
"I was crying because Ren said he's able to see what I look lik-" Toru giggled innocently before being cut off by Kirishima, Kaminari and Ashido gasping and grabbing Ren by his arms and shoulders.
"WHATTTT!?!?" The trio shouted, "HOW!?!?" They asked.
"I dunno" Ren shrugged, "Just can, she's very pretty just to let you guys know beforehand" He said with a smile, causing Kirishima and Kaminari to nudge him as they saw a floating blush right where Toru's face would be, 'How the fuck does that work, then?' They all wondered but ignored it.
"So!? What does she look like!?" Ashido asked impatiently, wanting to know how her invisible friend looked.
"I'll draw her when we're back in class, I'm a pretty good artist" Ren said with a smile and thumbs-up.
"Did you say 'artist' or 'autist'?" Kaminari asked before being punched again by Ren.

After class began again, the students that were interested in Toru's appearance gathered around Ren's drawing of Toru.
"I'm surprised you guys believed me so easily, how do you know I'm not lying? I might be for all you guys know" Ren asked as he was halfway through drawing.
His classmates looked at one another before shrugging unanimously, "You have no reason to lie, plus, you're our friend so of course we trust and believe you" Kirishima said.
"..." Ren paused his drawing for a second before a smile appeared on his face, "Thanks..." He looked straight down in order to avoid his classmates seeing his gleeful expression.
With the drawing being finished, Ren held it up for everybody to see - but mainly Toru.
"Woah..." The guys who gathered round were stunned at both Ren's drawing skills and how Toru looked, "An invisible, sexy lady..." Mineta muttered with a pervy smile before Asui bonked his head.
"Wow! I'm jealous" The girls began to surround Toru and compliment her beauty.
"T-That's me...?" Toru gasped in disbelief, before tears began dripping down her face, "I-I... thank you, Ren! This means a lot to me!" She gave him a quick, tight hug before wiping her tears and taking hold of the drawing, "Can I keep this!? If you don't mind..." She asked.
"Go ahead, free of charge!" Ren said jokingly as everyone went back to their seats to finish the day.

A week passed, with today being Saturday as everyone had to make their choices of who they'd intern under.
"Mount Lady... hehe..." Mineta mumbled, being ignored by everyone as he was in his fantasy land of eroge.
The class discussed who they'd intern under, with everybody choosing the same as canon - except for Momo, who Ren had warned her to choose someone else instead of Uwabami. Fortunately, due to them being close enough now, she took his advice and ended up choosing a different heroine.
"Say, Ren! Who've you chosen?" Sero asked as their friend group walked home together before they'd be separated with their internships for a while.
"To be honest... no idea!" Ren laughed, "No heroes, that I've read so far, interest me much" He said (He hadn't read all the list of names since reading through 5000 names was boring, even with his improved eyesight from his Eye System).
"Fair enough, I don't think any hero would be good for you and your quirk" Kaminari said as he pat Ren's shoulder.
"Still though, I'm kinda jealous that you guys got scouted by Best Jeanist himself" Kirishima said to Bakugo and Sero, "Bakugo, I'm surprised you even chose him to be honest. But Sero, Best Jeanist would definitely be a good hero for you to learn under" He said with a smile.
"Why're you surprised, huh!? Do you think I'm too hot-headed to work under any hero!? HUH!?" He raised his voice
"Yes" Tokoyami, Ren, Sero, Kaminari and Kirishima all replied bluntly.
