21 Chapter 21: Sports Festival Aftermath

With the Sports Festival being over for the first years, Ren decided to take Tuesday off as he felt no desire to watch the second years' sports festival.
Instead, he hung out with the lads (Kirishima, Kaminari, Bakugo, Tokoyami, Sero) and just went around Musutafu doing anything they found fun.
It was a fun day, they broke into an abandoned house and played football (Not soccer) with a dusty ball that was in there; went to JapDonalds to eat; played around at a random park, and talked about school/their classes.
After hanging out with them, Ren went to Mori and Taejin's dojo where they celebrated him getting first place in the sports festival (They watched it in person) and spent about an hour teaching him some more Taekwondo stuff.
He then went back home where he laid in bed and began messaging a few people including the group chat with him and the third years, the boys' group chat where they spoke about today, and Ida - asking if he was alright.
Unsurprisingly, there was no response from Ida as he was left on delivered until he fell asleep.
It was now Wednesday. Ren had set an alarm to wake up in time to get changed and meet up with the third years as today was their Sports Festival.
"Mornin' guys" Ren was the last to arrive as he saw the four third-years dressed in their gym uniform, meanwhile he was wearing some black cargos and a plain white t-shirt - really showing off his nice body.
"Good morning!" Nejire and Yuyu replied with smiles, "Mornin'!" Mirio said energetically, "Morning..." Tamaki said tiredly as if he got barely any sleep.
With no words needed to be said, the group decided it was time to go as Mirio led the group with Tamaki not too far behind him on his side, and then Yuyu, Nejire and Ren walking together behind them.
"You guys ready?" Ren asked as the topic they were speaking about was the Sports Festival obviously.
"As ready as can be..." Yuyu replied with a disheartened sigh, "Though my quirk isn't really for this type of thing" She added (Her quirk being able to make her create electric arrows)
"I'm ready to win! Yeah!" Nejire said, pumped up as she puffed her chest out and flexed her arm, "Us third-years will show you how it's done!" She added as she looked up at Ren with a smile.
"What about you guys?" Ren asked Mirio and Tamaki in front of them.
"I want to die..." Tamaki mumbled, to which everyone ignored as they didn't want their mood to be lowered.
"Hahaha!" Mirio laughed as a big smile appeared on his face, "This year will be MY year!" He answered.
"Yeah... as long as you don't get arrested for public indecency during the event" Yuyu said with a smirk as Mirio rubbed the back of his head, "Aha..." He gave an awkward laugh as he couldn't refute her words.
"Why can't you just ask for clothes that are specially made so that they don't fall off when using your quirk?" Ren asked in confusion, "Wouldn't that solve the problem?"
"Well... I asked that during our first year, but they rejected and since then I haven't thought about asking again!" Mirio crossed his arms.
"Mirio is very stupid!" Nejire said bluntly as she pat his back with an innocent smile on her face.
"We know..." Everyone, including Tamaki, targeted Mirio.

And so, Ren was now sitting in the crowd as he watched the third-years Sports Festival begin. He was near the front rows that he had a good view, his height (6ft) also came in clutch.
The first event was the obstacle course, similar to the first-years, except that some of the obstacles were different. Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki managed to enter the top 42. Unfortunately, Yuyu didn't and she was out already.
The second event was like the cavalry battle the first years had, except everyone was by themselves. The three managed to make it into the top 16 and moved on to the final event - the one-on-one tournament.
With the second event being over, it was now time for the lunch break where Ren headed to the third-years and spoke with them a little and congratulated the three who made it to the final round.
After giving some words of motivation, Ren left them and sat back in his seat in the crowd as the festivities segment was about to begin.
There were a lot more fun rounds compared to the first-years. Ren assumed it was because it was the final year the third-years would have a Sports Festival.
After the festivities were finished, the one-on-one tournament began.
Mirio, Nejire and Tamaki all made it past the first round as they faced a bunch of randoms. The second round (top 8), they were all fortunate enough to not face each other once again and won their matches, putting them all in the top 4.
The first match was Mirio vs a random, where Mirio won quite easily which got him a place in the final.
The second match was Tamaki vs Nejire, with Nejire winning in the end as Tamaki got too lazy (Shikamaru) style and forfeited after finding no way to beat Nejire.
And so, the final of Mirio vs Nejire ended up with Mirio winning, putting Nejire in second place. Tamaki then faced the other third year for third place and won.
'I guess this is where they became known as the "big 3" officially' Ren figured as he watched his three friends standing on their respective podiums as All Might wrapped their medals around their necks.
With the festival being over, Ren met up with Nejire, Mirio, Tamaki and Yuyu outside the arena as they were now changed into non-uniform.
"Congrats, guys!" Ren congratulated them, earning a smile from the three - even Tamaki - as they thanked him.
"Now..." Mirio's face darkened as he looked down, "How about we celebrate!?" He said enthusiastically as he punched the air.
"Sounds fun" Nejire and Ren both said, "I'm down" Yuyu replied, "Sure..." Tamaki muttered.
"Sweet! How about we go to my place?" Mirio asked, earning a unanimous nod from everyone else, "Awesome! Let's go, people!"

Once the group arrived at Mirio's house and entered (Quite a big house, but nowhere near Ida's) they were greeted with Mirio's parents sweetly congratulating him for winning the Sports Festival. They then congratulated Nejire and Tamaki for getting second and third, and congratulated Yuyu for trying her best - good vibes all around.
They then turned to look at Ren and were surprised to see him as they hadn't seen him round their house before and hadn't expected Mirio and the others to be friends with the first place of the third years.
"Ah, we saw your matches, they were very fun to watch" Mirio's father shook Ren's hand formally, "Congratulations on getting first place, that's a big achievement for a first year" He said with a smile.
"Ara~ I didn't know Mirio would have such a handsome junior" Mirio's mother smiled as she also shook Ren's hand, "Thank you for being friends with my boy, I know how he can be sometimes" She whispered loud enough for everybody to hear purposefully.
"Alright! That's enough, mom!" Mirio quickly pulled Ren away from his mother's grasp, "We're gonna go to my room and celebrate!" He told them.
"Drinks are in the kitchen cupboard!" Mirio's father shouted as the group went upstairs to where Mirio's room was, "Now, why don't we have some fun ourselves?" He smirked as he turned to his lovely wife who pulled him by his arm with no hesitation and took him to their soundproofed room - they made sure to lock the door.
"I'll go get the drinks, be right back!" Mirio said as fell through the floor with a salute, leaving his clothes on the spot he fell through.
"I'm never gonna get used to seeing that..." Ren said in disbelief, "Wait, if his clothes are here then!?-" He was cut off by Mirio barging the door open with crates of beer and alcohol in his hands. He covered his private area with the crates.
"..." The group had their mouths dropped, before turning away to allow Mirio to get changed.
"It's time to party!" Mirio announced, "Kampai!" They all said before chugging down a can of beer, "Ugh..." They groaned in disgust at the taste.
After a few minutes of chatting and drinking, the group got tipsy/drunk enough to have some fun.
"What should we do?" Yuyu asked as she laid on the floor with a flushed face, "I wanna play a game!" She sat up in a flash, "Ow..." She winced as she grabbed her head that had a small headache.
"Oo! What game should we play?" Nejire clapped her hands excitedly as the group sat around in a small circle, "Truth or dare?"
"Okay!" They said, "Who first?" Yuyu asked.
"I'll go first..." Ren said as he looked at the flushed faces of everyone, "Mirio, truth or dare"
"Dare! I ain't no bitch!"
"I dare you to... uh... any ideas?" He asked the others, not thinking of truth or dares beforehand.
"Prank call! Prank call!" Nejire chanted.
"Okay..." Ren put his fingers to his chin as he rubbed his imaginary beard, "Then, I dare you to call a girl of your choice from your class and prank call them"
"Alright..." Mirio replied with a hiccup as he grabbed his phone and went scrolled through his contacts before landing on one, "What should the prank call... be?" He said with a pause to burp.
"Con-fess! Con-fess!" Yuyu and Nejire both chanted, "What they said" Ren said as he pointed at the two drunk girls who wrapped their arms together.
And so, Mirio called the girl and put the call on loud speaker where he 'confessed' his feelings to the girl who turned him down after apologising, "That was too easy, give me a harder dare next time" He laughed, "Truth or... dare..." Mirio eyes began to close and open as he felt sleepy, but pushed through the tiredness, "Tamaki!"
The group turned to Tamaki who was sleeping on the floor with tears dripping down his face.
"I... I want to live...!" He sleep-talked as more tears came out of his eyes.
"Hehe... He's crying... with his eyes closed!" Yuyu laughed before falling back and falling asleep in a second.
"Nevermind then..." Mirio sighed before turning to Nejire, "Nejire, then... truth or dare"
"Mmm... dare! Ahah...!" She giggled slightly as her body swayed side-to-side.
"I dare you..." Mirio then had a small smirk on his face, "To hug Ren until the end of the game" He gave her a wink which Ren didn't catch as he was trying to stop himself from falling asleep.
"I-I..." Nejire's face turned redder as she looked at the tired Ren, "O-Okay..." She scooted over to his side and gave him a side hug with her head resting on his chest.
"Niceeee!" Mirio said as he took a photo on his phone before falling back and also falling asleep.
"U-um... Truth or-" Nejire looked up at Ren to ask him truth or dare before noticing he was asleep whilst sitting up, "Oh"
She then gently laid him down on his back and thought about separating herself, 'Mmm... too lazy and tired...' She thought as she rested her head on his chest and also fell asleep.

"Urghk..." Mirio and Yuyu groaned as they woke up at the same time with a migraine, "Hm?" Yuyu was the first to wake up fully as she looked around, "Where am- Oh?" She noticed her best friend sleeping on their first-year friend, "Oh~?" She had a teasing smile on her face as she took her phone out and took multiple photos of the moment.
"Yuyu...?" Mirio grumbled as he was fully awake, "Can you get me some water, please?" He asked, pointing to the corner of the room she was closest to which had packs of water bottles.
"No problem" She dragged herself to the packs and took out 5 water bottles before throwing one over to Mirio and opening one for herself.
"Ahhh!" The two exhaled in satisfaction over downing over half of their water bottle.
"Mmm..." The two heard Tamaki groan as he slowly woke up, "What happened-" He was cut off by Yuyu throwing a water bottle at his face, "Ow...!"
"Whoops, sorry" She chuckled, to which Tamaki ignored as he downed the water bottle.
"Haaahh... that was nice" He said with a smile, "Anyway, what happened?" He asked, "Why're you guys smili-?" He asked when he saw his friends smiling before turning to where they pointed their fingers "Oh..." He looked at Nejire and Ren sleeping peacefully with smiles on their faces, "What's for breakfast?" He asked, ignorant of what was going on.
"Are you serious?!" Mirio and Yuyu both comedically fell on the floor at Tamaki's words, "Let's go downstairs for some food and leave them be" Mirio said to which Yuyu and Tamaki nodded before Yuyu let out a yelp.
"Ah! I forgot!" She took her phone out of her pocket and saw many missed calls and messages from her parents, "Uh oh... I'll join you guys in the kitchen in a bit!" She ran to the toilet as she took a long phone call of her talking to her parents and profusely apologising for worrying them. Her parents then told her that she's lucky that Mirio's parents had told them (After finishing their 'fun') otherwise they would've called the police for a search party.
Mirio, Yuyu and Tamaki then ate a small breakfast before going back up to Mirio's room to see Ren awake with a blush on his face and Nejire asleep on top of him still.
"Uhm... guys! Help me!" He shouted in a whisper towards his three friends who stood at the door with smirks as they took photos of his embarrassed expression, "Stop taking photos!!" He said a bit too loudly as Nejire groaned as she slowly opened her eyes.
"Mmm... You guys are too lou-" Nejire rubbed her tired eyes in an angry tone before she opened them fully and saw an embarrassed Ren under her, "Uh I-I-I..." She stuttered profusely before a dust cloud popped out of her head as she went unconscious.
"Uh oh! Nejire!" Yuyu ran over to Nejire and pulled her off Ren gently before repeatedly slapping her lightly to wake her up, "Drink some water" She gave her and Ren some water as they drank it all and stood up.
"So... uh... what happened, exactly?" Though he didn't want to ask this, Ren did and regretted it as soon as he saw Mirio and Yuyu smirking as they opened their camera rolls and showed off the many photos of Nejire and Ren sleeping and hugging, "OKAY! THAT'S ENOUGH!" He grabbed their phones with a red face and turned it off before giving it back to them.
"..." Nejire was silent with a red face as she was unable to say anything.
"Okay okay, how about we do something else now?" Yuyu asked in order to change the subject as she noticed the mood.
And so, the group went to a nearby park and played around for a bit before they all went their separate ways back home.
With Thursday (Today) and Friday being days off for everybody, Ren decided to go home for the rest of the day. Friday would be when he goes gym and other productive stuff.
