20 Nightmare Valley: Pit of Despair (part 2)

He wanted nothing more than to slice the Gargoyle to pieces, he wanted to watch it suffer and feel pain. Cipher after spitting up blood ended up peeling off the wall and falling to the ground. Yes, Cipher was angry, he was tired of being smacked around by everyone, his so-called parents, by his classmates, he was a human doormat till the end. Sure he acted nice a polite but that was only because he bottled everything up, but there was only so much a bottle could take before it cracked. In Cipher's case, the bottle exploded, hitting the ground Cipher started laughing uncontrollably. There wasn't any funny about the situation, blood was dripping from Cipher's mouth. He was sure he had broken bones and while the thought of his Immortality crossed his mind that didn't stop the waves of immense constant pain he was feeling.

Up until this point, Cipher hadn't used any of his magic not because he didn't want to, but what would be the point. Amplification Magic and sound magic worked best on creatures that actually had eardrums, so using either of those magic's wouldn't just be ineffective, they would act as a siren for every Nightmare in the forest. The only magic Cipher could utilize at this point was Reinforcement Magic, but that had its own limitations as well. Sure Cipher could reinforce his body to mitigate some of the damage, but that was just it, he wasn't powerful enough to make good use of the magic he was taught. At best he could prevent some damage, but he would become mentally drained, and in a life or death battle...well we know how that would end.

While on the ground Cipher grabbed his blades which had fallen due to the impact, using Reinforcement Magic on his hands he fixed them to the hilts of the Twin Stars. Cipher Staggered as he stood up giving the Gargoyle a bloody smile once he was on his feet. Cipher figured he wouldn't be able to Extradict all the Nightmares, but dam the consequences if he was going to allow them to try and kill him. Mustering as much strength as possible nto his legs, exploding the ground as he ran forward, any Lesser Mold Fiends that got in his way had limbs sliced off. At one point Cipher had jumped onto a Lesser Mold Fiend slicing its head off, then using it as a springboard as he barreled through the next Nightmare in his path. After killing the first Nightmare, DEM had given him the idea of channeling the Extradict spell into the Twin Stars, this would allow him to send the Nightmares to the void and continue fighting. DEM had mentioned the possibility of this working but explained there was a requirement, {DEM ~ For this to work you must kill the Nightmare in one hit, effectively killing and Extradicting the Nightmare at the same time.} As Cipher made his way closer to the massive Earth Gargoyle, he could hear its disgusting laugher again. Cipher didn't care why it was laughing, he just wanted to shut it up. Killing yet another Nightmare that had gotten in his way, Cipher was now set up to attack the Gargoyle. Jumping off the decapitated Nightmare Cipher shot towards the Gargoyle.

The Gargoyle watching this unfold couldn't help but laugh at how the Knight of Light struggled, all Nightmares could tell if something was a Kight of Light because the energy around them would always radiate outward. It wasn't something the Nightmare saw it was more like something they felt, and to them, it felt disgusting so seeing the Knight struggle was an absolute pleasure. The Lesser Mold Fiends meant nothing to the Gargoyle it was only passing through the area when it saw the Kight fall into the Nest, at that point though it decided it would be more fun to join than watch.

Finally only a short distance from the Gargoyle, Cipher landed and then propelled himself towards the Gargoyle's legs with both Twin Star ready to cleave them off. The Gargoyle was massive at least four times the height of Cipher, so unless Cipher felt like trying to climb the Gargoyle, his only option was to bring it closer to the ground. Using the Twin stars Cipher sliced the sides of both its legs, before sliding back up to his feet while turning around to face the Gargoyle in the process. Up until this point the battle had been one-sided, Cipher gets beat, and the Nightmare would laugh. This time was different Cipher had cut it, now he just had to wait for the Gargoyle to fall and lower its guard.

That didn't happen instead the Gargoyle turned and face Cipher, Giving an ear-shattering roar as it ran toward cipher on all fours. Cipher see the intent behind the Gargoyle attack jumped up, narrowly dodging an attack from the side. The Gargoyle had produced two more arms making it that much harder for Cipher to find a way to defeat it. It was then that DEM gave Cipher a brilliant idea, the only issue was that it would only work once. Cipher would lead the Gargoyle toward the wall of the pit, scale it, and propel himself at the Gargoyle. Cipher was using all his senses, agility, and reflexes to avoid the Gargoyle, as it tried to catch him, slowly driving it toward the pits wall Cipher executed the rest of his plan. Giving the Gargoyle one last taunt Cipher ran toward the wall, scaling it before pushing off the wall completing a high arch jump back towards the Gargoyle.

The Gargoyle failing to understand the point in the Knight traping itself against a wall let its guard down preparing to kill him nice and slow for the stupidity that the Knight had shown. Before the Gargoyle could complete its next attack, however, it felt a sharp pain pass through its neck. As it went to swing its claw at the Knight it found it was unable to move it, or anything else for that matter. The Knight which was in front of him no longer there, instead the ground seemed to be racing towards it. Cipher landed on the ground, turning around to watch as the Gargoyle's head slowly left the rest of its body and plummeted toward the ground.

It was then that the sound of faint clapping could be heard in the distance.
