Daylight and Explanations

Raze turned around and waved at Cipher, "Well I am off, have fun and enjoy yourself boy, I will be watching." As Raze waved and spoke his body slowly disappeared into what looked like a mist. Cipher took a massive breath of air which he immediately started coughing on due to the stench that still lingered in the area. As Cipher was trying to collect himself DEM started providing him information about the system, {DEM ~ You were lucky to survive that in one piece not many have the opportunity to meet a Fallen and survive to tell about it. You have collected quite a bit of Dream Points, but you should get out of the forest before we go over it all.} Cipher agreed, it was best that they get out of the forest before he put himself in a situation where he might end up letting his guard down.

Before more Nightmares showed up Cipher decided to get out of the forest, [DEM pull up the map and set me a route out of here]. Pulling up the map for Cipher DEM plotted the path that Cipher would need to follow. The moment the path came into view for Cipher, he was off, Cipher didn't care about the scenery at this point. If a Nightmare wanted to block him he would cut it down without mercy, Cipher wasn't going to stop, no, he couldn't stop. He needed to get stronger faster and to do that he needed to learn more magic and other skills. It would be nice if Cipher could also find a teacher to help him comprehend the magic skills, but at this point, Cipher didn't care either way.

As Cipher made his way through the valley it got darker and darker, but that didn't stop him. Cipher used his training to make his way through, remembering what Yuri taught him and following the path set out. Marcaliously Cipher was able to make it out of Nightmare Valley without coming in contact with any other Nightmares. Coming to the edge of the valley Cipher could see a large wall, I had to be about thirty meters high. Looking at the wall Cipher didn't even think, he ran at the wall finding footing on the rocks jumping on the rocks with grace and speed. Getting to the top Cipher could see the two suns in the sky one yellow and one blue. CIpher had a moment where he pondered a thought, [I wonder if the sky turns green when the suns pass each other?].

Taking a moment Cipher looked back at Nightmare Valley, to his surprise he couldn't see anything. The valley looked like a giant void, anything past 15 meters was nothing but black, the sunlight just got sucked in disappearing into nothing. Turning around Cipher got to see a grassy field, finding a spot he sat down, "Ok DEM time to look at my stats" [Pull up the status screen].

Cipher looking at his stats was surprised his strength had gone up to eighteen percent which was great, Cipher knew he had a long way to go before he got to S-Class but he liked that he was making progress. What really caught Cipher's eyes was his magic class it had gone up a whole class, Cipher was now B-Class or higher across all his stats. The magic stat was also important for a number of reasons, chief among them was the fact that it gave Cipher the ability to use higher class magic more effectively. The rules that governed magic skills made sense to Cipher, but he still found them annoying. It had been explained to Cipher that even a child could find a way to use a high-class spell, but it wouldn't have the same effect if the individual's magic class is too low. So even if Cipher learns a world-altering spell, it wouldn't matter because his magic stat might not be strong enough to facilitate it. Instead, the only thing he might achieve is turning an Orange into an apple...not that big a deal, unless you really like apples.

Cipher finally saw his Dream Credits he could help but exclaim out loud, "Holy shit how did I get that many points?" DEM hearing the remark couldn't help but laugh, it was always intriguing watching and listening to Cipher and these moments were DEM's favorite. Cipher having an epiphany remembering that he had unlocked the Magic Shop function in the system a while back. DEM hearing Cipher's thoughts explained, {DEM~ The Magic Shop has two main functions, the first function allows you to learn new magic and the second helps you comprehend magic. The first feature allows you to purchase magic skills and abilities, magic skills are solely based on your magic stat, abilities are skills that are tied to you and aren't necessarily tied to your stats.} Cipher understood the Magic Skills but the moment DEM started talking about the abilities Cipher was totally lost. Realizing that Cipher was confused DEM continued, {DEM~ Let me give you a few examples, poison immunity, self-regeneration, and mind protection are all examples of abilities.} Cipher now understood, abilities were things that were connected to him. It seemed like the only thing that could limit an ability would be the person using it. Cipher had some decisions and choices to make before he got to Future City so better to do it now than later.
