4 Entrance Part 3

The bell rang signalling classes was over. I got my bags and walked out the classroom and to my right was Tatsuya. He waiting for me. I looked at him and blushed.

"What are you doing here..?" I asked.

"I've come to get you." He responded.

I looked around and saw the students whispering to each other as they looked at me and Tatsuya. I blushed even more and grabbed his arm then walked off.

"What's the big deal? Is it against the law to wait for a friend?" Tatsuya asked.

"You're gonna create rumors you big idiot..!" I said, flustered.

I stopped at the courtyard because Tatsuya stopped. I looked at him.

"What's wrong?" I asked.

"We can't have our mock battle in the training area, but they do have a room reserved for battles and mock battles we can use. It's under construction but it'll be ready in around a week... unfortunately." He said.

"We don't have a week.." I looked down and let his arm go.

"Yeah I know...our best bet is that you wing the battles.." Tatsuya pat my shoulder.

I sighed and closed my eyes. The tournament is in 7 days...we could only just train normally. Tatsuya looked at me as I raised my head. I looked like I was about to cry.

"I'll only get in your way.." I looked at him.

"No you won't..you'll do perfectly fine..Like I said it isn't about winning or losing for me..this is a perfect chance to showcase what we can do for the Grandmaster. I don't care of I'm at the bottom as long as I have it my all I wouldn't be upset." Tatsuya said, he didn't even crack a tiny grin.

"Tatsuya I-"

"Enough of that..stop dragging yourself down..you need to learn to boost your self esteem up. The only reason you feel weak is because you're comparing your powers to others. The more you do that the lower you drag yourself. Understand?" Tatsuya said.

"I guess so..." I looked down then felt his hand rub my head. I blushed and looked up. He still didn't smile but I felt warm on the inside.

A girl walked up to us and bowed. We looked at her and she smiled at us.

"Hello!" The girl said. "My name is Ruko Tsukomi."

"Hello..?" I said confused.

A guy walked up and looked at us. I took a step back and looked at Tatsuya.

"This is my partner, Dreome de Lyoma." Ruko smiled. "I am happy to finally meet you two."

"Meet us?" Tatsuya asked.

"Mhm! You are our first opponents in the tournament! I can't wait to battle you and see what you are made of! Come Dreome!" She skipped away. Dreome followed her.

"His aura...is so scary.." I said and gripped on Tatsuya's shirt.

"Don't worry..you'll be okay.." Tatsuya looked at me. I looked up at his face. I blushed and let go of his shirt and jumped back.

"Y-Yeah.." I nodded.

4 Days Later.

I got off the phone with my mom and sighed and looked at the sky. Tatsuya looked at me and offered me some of his food. I shook my head.

"It's getting closer to the tournament and I still can't even master the most simple part of my abilities.." I said.

"You'll get there..." Tatsuya said. He closed his box and set it to his side. "Aura Manipulation isn't an ability you can master right away. After all my ability is a sub power of yours. Dark Manipulation."

"It is?" I looked at him.

"Mhm. It's a form of Aura Manipulation that is subjected to one element. Your ability isn't subjected to one element meaning you can experiment with your ability a little." Tatsuya said.

"You know more about my ability than I do.." I looked down.

"Well since it involves aura I studied a bit on it." He said.

I looked at him and noticed some crumbs on his cheek. I grabbed my handkerchief and leaned towards him and wiped it off. He watched me. I looked in his eyes then the door swung open and we scooted a good 12 inches away from each other. Ruko looked at us and saw our embarrassed looks.

"Why are you looking like that?" Ruko asked.

"It's nothing.." I said. "Anyway why are you here?"

"It's the most quiet place in the academy..everyone is so noisy down there. I need time to rest my brain.." She groaned and sat in between us.

"You feel like that too?" I looked at her and smiled.

"Mhm.. I just can't take too much noise because-" she paused. "Ahh nevermind..anyway what are you two up to? You're the talk of the school. The Weak Peasant and the Demigod."

"Peasant..why am I not surprised.." I chuckled nervously.

"We eat our lunch up here since it's quiet..Despite my appearance I love the fresh air and the wind.." Tatsuya said. "Where is your partner?"

"He's in the gym area. Just a workaholic..he doesn't take a break..." Ruko looked at the sky. "But that's one of his charms..he's dedicated.."

We all sat there and talked about random topics until the bell rang. We all went back to our classes. I looked out the window and noticed Tatsuya outside. He was talking to Dreome. They shook hands and walked in different directions.

After classes I walked out the classroom and saw Tatsuya again. I sighed and took his arm and walked to the courtyard again. I stopped and let go of him then turned to him, folding my arms.

"Why weren't you in class..? I know this school isn't strict on academics but you should go to one class.." I scolded.

"I was talking to Dreome. He said we could use his gym area to train and have a mock battle with him and Ruko." Tatsuya said.

"Oh..I see. I'm curious about his ability." I said.

"Not Ruko's?" Tatsuya asked.

"I pretty much figured out her ability..she has supernatural hearing. She can detect any movement and use the soundwaves to her advantage. Because of her ability she can move faster than anyone with a time skip ability." I said.

"Down to the bone.." Tatsuya said.

"Even if I know that I don't think I can best her in combat..I have trained for hand to hand combat but it won't do any good if her hearing allows her to move before me and counter my movements." I said.

"True..but you won't know until that day." Tatsuya said.

"But why want a mock battle with her first opponents? Isn't it better to not know your enemy's strategy?" I asked.

"He said he wants to see if the rumors of you are true..he believes you have abilities. He wants to help unlock it. He said if you can't unlock it he will forfeit and battle us when you do." He said.

"I don't want him to forfeit...I wanna unlock my abilities but I also want to battle him in the tournament.." I said.

"I know that's why he's willing to work with you." Tatsuya said.

I nodded and sighed a bit. I felt like more of a burden now. I don't want to disappoint anyone.
