1 The System

The world changed a lot with the implantation of The System. When it first came around no one knew where it came from or how it started. It was all a mystery, now you had your clout chasers and snobs who tried to take credit for it but that all changed when the second phase started,but I'll get into that later. It is better if I start from the beginning.

It was a normal day like any other. I got up at the crack of dawn. I did what any man does when he first wakes ups. Procrastinate!I sat on the edge of my bed and rubbed my eyes and wished I had more time to sleep. "I really need to stop playing games so late."I was up all night with my friends playing this new game that just dropped out of nowhere and took the world by storm. I ran a guild called The Everlasts. It wasn't anything big it was just me a a couple of friends from school. I was a hardcore gamer with my close friends, any time we had was spent grinding for the best gear in the game. We are ranked in the top 1000 guilds in the game for us to only have 15 members so far but we can't compete with the massive guilds that are in the top 100. They have so many feeder guilds that they basically can dominate the game and never have to leave there base. As I was thinking all this I heard footsteps coming up the stairs,"Max it's time for you to get up and do your chores before schools do don't even think about pulling the I don't feel good card you pulled last week." My mother said through the door. She was a short women on her mid thirties but everyone thought she was no older then her early twenties. She was 5'4" and weighed no more then 90 pounds. I was always getting hell from all my mates about her. Now I know it sounds kinda condescending but my mother really was gorgeous. " I know ma I'm getting up now. I'm just trying to get my head straight." I said as I got off the bed and walked to my dresser to grab some clothes to go wash. "Good because I would hate to have to get the girl your sweet on to rough you up for me. What was her name. Ah yes Kimberly! That's the one." My mother said. "Ma I told you I don't have a crush on Kimberly we are just friends." "Keep telling yourself that son but a mother knows." She said as I opened my door to walk out my room. She winked at me as she turnt around to go back down the stairs. "You got 20 minutes to be down stairs ready for your chores." "Yes ma'am" I said as I went to the bathroom to wash and get ready for the day.
