Different Worlds

(Kuzan POV)

The head of the pirate slides off his shoulders and falls to the ground. I knew what he was going to say and didn't need to hear more. I can kill without any problem, due to my will being strong enough and because I have already killed different animals. This action causes everyone on the ship to freeze. I of course use this chance and from my feet, the ship begins to freeze. I will use this ship as my replacement when I have dealt with everyone here. 

"What ... the ..."

"Did he just ..."

"What are you all just standing there? KILL HIM!!", the Captian screams and that shakes out of their thoughts. They start to attack me all at the same time. 

"AAAAHHHHH"

They take their weapons and start to attack me. I get into my stance and start to fight back. I use all of my skills to fight them. I was met with a sword that came at me. I dodged the weapon and punched the man using it. My strength was high for an 11-year-old. I could deal with these low-level pirates with no problem. 

I dodge one strike after another and strike whenever I see an opening. I try to fight them without using my devil fruit. It works fine and I feel myself adapting to the situation. 

*Bang*

A gunshot is heard and I feel it hit my head. It passes through without doing anything. These pirates don't know Haki, so I wasn't hurt. I still need more training and have to improve my Haki. Had this been coated with Haki, I would have suffered. At least for a while. 

The fight continues and I get better at close-quarter combat against a multitude of enemies. The longer the fight goes on, the more of the ship turns to ice. I begin using a sword I create out of ice and cut down the rest of the pirates. Finally, I am the only one left standing against the captain. He is very angry, I can see his pulse from an artery on his neck. 

"You little shit!!", he manages to say. He is beyond livid at this point. He just lost his entire crew to a child. He attacks. I block his axe with my sword. He is stronger than the others by at least three times. I dodge his strikes and then attack using my ice sword. We are evenly matched concerning strength but that doesn't say much. My teachers told me that compared to the strongest in the world, they didn't amount to much. 

I use my Haohsoku Haki and pressure him. I have made some progress in the use of Haoshoku but I can tell that it isn't that much. I was told that Haoshoku Haki can't really be trained and only grows stronger if used in a fight against those who have strong willpower. So I pressure the pirate and see that he is surprised and struggles against my Haki. But he is strong enough not to faint. I decide to end the fight and slice him when he can't defend himself. 

I am happy with my progress. I am 11 and can deal with a pirate crew of South Blue alone. That has to account for something. But I am not naive enough to be content with this level of strength. I will grow stronger continuously. So I have to keep training.

Using the boat I continue to sail. After a week of sailing, I reach a very tall mountain wall. The red line. I saw a map of South Blue and know that this giant mountain seems to cut the world in half. I feel that I have to continue in that direction so there is only one way ... up the mountain. And thank goodness for limitless stamina. 

I leave the boat here for someone else to find. I take some money that the pirates have stolen and then begin my ascent. How do I do that? With my devil fruit. I jump down from the ship and onto the surface of the sea. As I touch it, the surface freezes instantly and creates a small platform for me. I freeze the sea a bit more because for what I want to do, I will need a steady platform. 

When I feel like it is enough, I stop and instead start to create ice underneath my feet. I continue doing this and the pillar rises higher and higher. It takes a considerable amount of stamina to do this and if I didn't have unlimited amounts of it, I would never manage this. I continue to do this for close to an hour and finally reach the peak. 

I make my way across the top of this mountain and this takes a while. I walk for two days until I finally reach the other side and begin my descent. For this, I used my ice to create a slide. I create a spiral and slide down. This sounds fun and it is, but it takes a lot of concentration so I don't just fall. I can't help but enjoy myself as I pick up speed and use Kenbunshoku Haki to not lose focus. I finally see the sea and then jump. I fire a blast of ice towards the surface and freeze it before I hit the water. 

My body crashes into the ice and I fall into pieces. A second later, my body reforms and I stand upright. I breathe in and then create a small ship. A moment later I lie on a small boat once again and make my way across the sea. I am now in the West Blue. I still don't know what it is that made me come here. It's just the same feeling I had 5 years ago when I travelled to Sorbet Kingdom. 

I'll see what it is that led me here.

2 weeks have passed and I am once again facing a group of pirates, but this time the ship is much bigger and I can tell that the pirates are stronger than the ones I killed in South Blue. I am once again standing in front of a crew but this time they are much more professional and they understand my value. I can tell that it would be a hard fight. But that won't stop me from fighting them all if necessary. 

"You have strong eyes, boy. If you think that you can fight us, then you better sto-"

"Captain! Marines!", someone screams and the Captain looks back and sees a group of Marine warships approaching their position. This caused the Captain to grow anxious and he started screaming orders. But that wouldn't come to be as I took this chance to attack and cause chaos. 

I used the powers of ice to freeze those pirates who were around me. This caused a lot of chaos as the Captain screamed orders to escape as he knew that they had no chance to come out alive if they stayed any longer. He knew who it was that was leading this group of war vessels. 

But when I started to attack them, he had to deal with it and so he screamed to his crew that someone should just kill me. This would give me enough time until the Marines arrive.

(3rd Person POV)

On the first Marine Warship, a man with a sword at his hips and a brown hat approached his leader who was standing at the front of the ship. 

"Garp-san, the pirate ship in front of us seems to be in a fight currently. What should we do with them?", the man asked. 

"Hm, a fight? Let's see ... oh? A child is on that ship. Prepare to board!", Garp says and jumps into the air using Geppo. He sensed the child fighting against the pirates using his powerful Kenbunshoku Haki. So he immediately uses Geppo to arrive on the ship, but what he sees, surprises him.

He sees that the boy is holding his own and using the powers of a devil fruit very well. Garp senses an attack coming at the child and decides to interfere. He jumps in between the child and the attack and announces his presence. 

"Attacking a child from the back? How despicable.", Garp says and holds the sword that was about to strike Kuzan with his fingers. 

Everyone stops fighting when they see the tall and muscular Marine with black hair crashing onto their ship. 

"Vi-vice-admiral ... Garp the Fist!", the Captain recognizes Garp and gets scared. Garp is famous for his powerful Haki and the fact that he hunts Gol D. Roger and is on equal footing. 

Kuzan looks at Garp with interest. He can tell that this man is strong. Far stronger than these pirates and even stronger than his teachers on Karate Island. But he also got the feeling that this man was a good man. He wasn't sure why but it was that usual feeling he had, the same one that made him come here in the first place. 

"Your name is Garp?", he asked and Garp looked at him with a confused expression. 

"Uhu, what about you brat?", he asked.

"My name is Kuzan and I'll become a Marine as well. Just watch as I deal with these pirates here.", he says and smiles. Then he gets back into his serious mode and continues attacking the pirates. 

Garp watches as Kuzan attacks the pirates a bit dumbfounded. He didn't expect that to happen. Not only does this child use Haki and has a devil fruit, but he also attacks without fear at all. But he doesn't seem reckless. The pirates are conflicted about what to do. Vice-Admiral Garp was standing there observing Kuzan as he knocked out one pirate after the other. 

'This is a gem. And his words held no lies or deceptions. He is genuine... And this strong at such a young age.', Garp thought as he observed Kuzan.

It didn't take long and Garp's ship had arrived and with it the Marine crew. They began to attack the pirates immediately and before long the fight was over leaving a devastating defeat for the Pirates. Kuzan stood there and looked over the proceedings of the Marines. He could tell that there was some tension. They were in a hurry. 

"You said your name was Kuzan, right?", Garp asked and walked towards Kuzan. 

"That's right."

"We're in a hurry to reach someplace but I believe it would be good if you truly want to become a Marine if you join my ship right away. You can become an apprentice on my ship.", Garp said with a surprising amount of seriousness. He was in a hurry right now, but he still couldn't let this child be like this. He could sense that Kuzan was somewhat like-minded and given his potential, he wanted to take him in.

"I would love that, Mr. Vice-Admiral. Thank you very much.", Kuzan smiled. This was the best thing that could happen to him. And he felt that it was right to join Garp for some reason. 

"Bwahahahaha don't mention it brat. Now let's go! We've already lost a lot of time! Roger and Rock's won't wait for us to get there. Move it!", Garp screamed at the Marines to hurry up. It seemed that they were indeed in a hurry to reach the place they were going. So everything was loaded and the pirate ship was simply destroyed. 

Kuzan got on the ship and was granted an apprentice get-up by Garp's right-hand man Bogard. After that, Kuzan was tasked to begin cleaning the ship. 

"So Garp-san, where are we going now that you are in such a hurry?"

"An emergency has been been called in one of the Islands of West Blue and we are going there right now. Some of the highest people are extremely scared."

"Oh? And what island is that?"

"God Valley."
