The Poison Taster

One day, without warning, Tamsin is sold and taken to the dark, dangerous city of Iblis. She fights despair as she's sold yet again in the infamous Night Market to a mysterious hooded man. She fears the worst, but never imagines she'll be taken to the Imperial Palace and trained to be a Poison Drinker. An ancient art designed to serve and protect the king, every drink she swallows and every bite that passes Tamsin's lips could be her last. She is trained to test the king's food for poison by consuming a little poison every single day. Every meal is agony and possibly her last. Her purpose may not be what it seems as her training takes on a darker turn. All the while, Tamsin only dreams of revenge. Will she escape the palace and see her revenge made manifest, or will she face an even darker destiny?
