8 Vi's Overwhelming Prowess

"Oh? So, all the three of you finally decided to gang up on me, huh? Fine then, bring it on. This time, it will be you who will be defeated!" Vi didn't falter when the three slimes were going to attack him at once. How could he if he had already fought them like this before? And in fact, it was not only 1v3, but 1v5. Although he suffered an overwhelming defeat as it also seemed like the other party was just toying with him, he still gained plenty of experience as he came to understand them to some extent. So how could he be afraid of them, especially now that he had gotten to grasp the world's mana?

Pointing the wooden stick at the three huge and strange slimes, the aura before Vi suddenly changed and became sharper. His eyes were so sharp that they gave off the feeling of wanting to cut everything down.

But now that it had come to this, he also felt that the three slimes had gotten bigger than usual. Their wide and sinister grins gave off a suppressive and terrifying aura. He couldn't help but recall all the sufferings he had experienced in the past month from these monsters.

Thinking about it now, Vi still felt some kind of fear lingering in his heart. It kept entangling him, trying its hardest to pull him down. It was as though so many hands were holding his neck and every part of his body, trying to drag him down into the bottomless pit.

But would he let himself be dragged down by this fear? Of course, not! He would definitely overcome all of these and defeat these slimes.

"Oho, no need to go through that trouble, my dear disciple." The Body Slime responded in excitement. Surprisingly, just after she said those words, she disappeared from where she was, leaving only these few words, "I alone am more than enough."

Vi had his eyes widened for a moment. Although he wasn't that surprised, and that movement was within his expectations, it was still far enough for him to be wary and not slack off. As such, he prepared himself for the incoming attack.

Just as he expected, when the Body Slime reappeared, she was already above him, falling like a giant rock that was ready to crash to the earth. Two huge arms were now connected on her both sides as it seemed like the fists made by those arms were made for destruction. If Vi were to be hit by those fists, he knew that instant death was imminent.

However, despite that terrifying move by the other party coming at him, there was no trace of fear nor worry in Vi's eyes. They remained cold and nonchalant and had thoughts so deep that it was hard to fathom.

"Hmph!" Vi jumped back quickly. With the world's mana he gathered to his feet, he moved pretty swiftly. As such, no matter how fast the attack of the Body Slime was, it hit not him but an empty ground.

Crash!

The Body Slime's two huge fists fell to the ground. The earth was shaken and a crater was formed. If it was before when Vi had experienced this attack for the first time, he would have been turned into meat paste by now.

However, this time, not only did Vi avoid such an attack, but it appeared as well that he could make a counter. That said, as he was in midair, he swung his wooden stick multiple times. Wind blades then soon formed and rushed towards the Body Slime. The force from those wind blades couldn't be said weak, however, in front of the Body Slime, that kind of attack only felt like refreshing wind grazing past her.

"My dear disciple, if you are going to kill me with just this, then forget abou..." The Body Slime was just about to finish her words when suddenly...

Swoosh!

The dear disciple she was talking with, suddenly appeared right in front of her face. To her shock, this unfilial disciple stabbed the wooden stick at her and it went right through her left eye. Although it wasn't that painful, it was more than enough to catch her off guard.

The Body Slime was just about to counterattack but to her horror, Vi made a sudden movement as he struck the wooden stick with a palm strike. As though a hammer hitting a nail, the wooden stick pierced so deep that it entered her body and hit her core effectively. 

At that moment, the Body Slime felt a bad premonition ready to take place. And knowing well that there was nothing else she could do as she saw her dear disciple who had already jumped a safe distance away, she could only smile proudly before her body finally exploded. The countless pieces of her jelly meat splattered on the ground before they turned into ashes and became one with the ground.

But Vi's overwhelming prowess didn't end there. As he stood nonchalantly a distance away from where the Body Slime exploded, he raised his right foot. Shortly after, he slammed it on his shadow and, surprisingly enough, although the force from his foot was enough to leave a small crater, the ground didn't shake nor had it been hit. But instead, his shadow received all the damage.

No, to put it more correctly, the Shadow Slime hiding within his shadow took all the damage as his shadowy body splattered like jelly beneath his feet. With the world's mana under Vi's control, he could finally hit the Shadow Slime. That slime waiting to launch a sneak attack didn't even have the chance to spout nonsense before his HP hit zero.

If Vi attacked the Shadow Slime without the help of the world's mana, or if he didn't have any understanding about that slime, he was certain that what he'd just done wouldn't have any effect at all. It would only seem like he was only hitting a real shadow even if he attacked with all his strength. That said, the Shadow Slime would be indestructible against the past him.

But now that he'd grasped how to use the world's mana, killing the Shadow Slime wasn't a challenge for him at all.

Looking at the hologram screen notification floating in front of his face, Vi could only nod in satisfaction. Killing those slimes who made him suffer for so long was really too pleasant to feel. Now that he'd killed four slimes, he really felt that he had come closer to reaching his goal, which was to leave that damned tutorial ground.

Meanwhile, the Blood Slime remained rooted in the same spot, watching Vi do the killing. His lips formed a horizontal line, his eyes were both circles. To think that their beloved student would grow this far just after grasping the very tip of the world's mana. Thinking about the incomparable talent their disciple possessed, his horizontal lips suddenly formed an upward curve. His eyes emitted a faint gleam. It was evident that this development was too pleasant to look at.
