45 Upgrades

(Mc pov):

I didn't think I would have gotten that mad at Geto for talking like that about Maki, I knew it was coming but knowing about it and listening someone actually say it are two different things.

Although I wanted to see just how strong Maki would have gotten without the full power of the Heavenly Restriction and just trained the rest of the way up until she reached the peak and then unlock it's full power making her even stronger.

I don't think I have the luxury to wait anymore and so I opened a gateway for us to the middle of nowhere where there's no settlements anywhere for miles

I then grabbed my pendant and called out to someone that's has been becoming a shut-in "Hey it's time to stop being lazy I need you"

With that Ori soon appeared floating slowly right beside me with her mallet over her shoulder "Yes onii-chan" Ori said as she appeared ready to help.

Maki looking lost just ask "What is going on and what did you mean back then that you were going to upgrade my Heavenly Restriction"

I then explained to her the problem her Restriction has "Maki, you're not the first person to be treated horrible within the Zenin Clan because they couldn't see curses, you see there was another being before you, who was treated horribly by them.

He went by the name Toji Zenin and then later changed his name to Toji Fushiguro , and he didn't possess any kind of curse energy not even a little bit of it and because of his mistreatment he simply left the clan and went to become an assassin that hunted sorcerers due to his resentment towards them.

And because he didn't possess any curse energy he basically became an invisible person, the perfect person to become an assassin for sorcerers, all he cared about was about the money, no matter who paid him, he would always get the job done

He did such a good job that he later gain his most infamous nickname 'The Sorcerer Killer'

He was physically unmatched when it came to strength, I wouldn't put it past him being able to go against special grade curses, you possess the same type of Heavenly Restriction as a being known as the sorcerer killer yet you're not anywhere near as strong as him

And I'm pretty sure you can guess why upon hearing the tale of 'the sorcerer killer'"

Maki just nodded her head before answering "It's because I still have curse energy isn't it? Although it's just the size of a non sorcerer it's still curse energy"

Hearing her answer I just nodded "That tiny amount of curse energy is stopping you from being at your strongest,

in exchange for all of his curse energy Toji Fushiguro physical prowess along with all of his senses got quite the boost but because you still got curse energy all you can get in exchange is a higher physical body and that's it.

Now then what do you think would happen if you got rejected by curse energy not being able to use it ever again?" I asked with a small smile

"You get upgraded that's what. And who better to help you then a being that signifies rebirth and a curse spirit that specializes in rejection"

"Wait but before we start I have to ask do you want to do this, because I know it's going to be painful and if you don't want to that's okay with me too, because I'll always take care of you" I asked Maki with my forehead leaning against her while looking into her eyes showing her how I would be okay if she said no

Maki just gave a confident smile and kissed me before saying "What's a little pain compared to  the process I'm going to make"

And with that Ori and I started with project upgrade. I made a ball of my phoenix flames and focused on mostly the healing properties of it and then I got Ori to stamp it with the symbol for rejections on it.

Heavenly Restrictions are described as bindings placed on a sorcerer's body when they are born. These bindings usually refer to limitations on the human body that the person receives improved capabilities in a different capacity in exchange

I mostly focus my phoenix flames on Maki's body and on the bindings that focus on low curse energy, i then just put the rejection stamp on curse energy so curse energy is rejected from her body for a bit and told Ori to hold the power of the stamp for a bit.

The Heavenly Restriction then starts adapting to the new limitations on Maki's body using the healing properties of my flames

While the adapting is taking place i could see Maki's body shaking due to the pain of the process, although it breaks my heart to see her like this I know it has to be done.

It took about 30 minutes to finally finish adjusting the new limitations and with that I told Ori to stop the stamp to see what would happen

Once the stamps dissappears Maki then couldn't be perceived with my curse power detection abilities, which means it work.

So due to her body rejecting curse energy the Heavenly Restriction adjusted her body making it stronger as compensation making a completely new binding.

Once the process was done I just hugged her due to the pain she must have been feeling.

"So how are you feeling is your body okay, does it still hurt" I started asking her questions while hugging her she just gives me a small smile at the end and just says "Never better but could use some sleep"

I just smile at her back in return and kiss her for a bit before we both got up and while up I spoke to Ori "Thanks Ori you were a great help, you can take a rest if you want to"

"Yes onii-chan" and with that Ori left with a smile of her own.

I then opened a gateway towards our home where we spend alot of time in and decided to go to sleep since it's late and alot of things happened.

(The next day....., Omni pov):

Ash and Maki can be seen standing infront of each other ready to test out Maki's new strength.

Although it didn't happen right away, it happened over night Maki's physique has improved probably due to my phoenix flames and her new Heavenly Restriction working in tandem.

However before they started Ash reminded Maki "You can take off the weights this is going to be a pure physical fight with no holding back so you can take them off"

And with that Maki started to take off her weight she then threw them to the side

Boom!!!

The ground where Maki casually threw the weights at caved in creating a crater with dust coming out of it 

Maki then dusted off her hands and started to stretch her body getting used to her new strength. Maki then went back into a fighting position when she finished and waited for my signal

I took out a coin from my pockets and said "when the coin touches the ground is when the fight begins are you ready"

Maki just nodded as I threw the coin into the air

*Ting*

Both of our figures blurred as we flash stepped into the middle with our fist colliding into each other and as they collided the dust around us flew away due to the force of our punch

Then we started to sent out more punches, punch after punch our fist got blurry and it left after images, the force of our punches were so large that dust was just flying everywhere

Backing away a bit Ash the tried to roundhouse kick her on the head but Maki managed to block it with her forearm

She countered it with a leg sweep trying to throw him off his balance

While falling Ash manage to stop his momentum with one hand and with that one hand he pushed himself towards Maki moving in a drop kick motion

Maki manage to block it while crossing her arms and as she was pushed back she got into a boxing position

Seeing her position Ash left the ground and took the same position

Maki then started with a quick right hook which Ash managed to guard against but with a quick motion with her left hand she delivered for a quick liver shot

While enduring the pain Ash then sent out a upper cut straight for her chin which sent her head snapping backwards

Ash then quickly brought his arm slightly down and with that he landed a few more uppercut to her stomach

Jumping back Maki manage to get away from the onslaught

Once back Maki rushes forward once again and proceeded to give three kicks in a quick motion, a kick to the thigh, a kick to the torso and a kick to the chin

Unfortunately Ash was only able to block the kick to the torso

Maki then goes for an Axe kick when she kicked Ash on the chin but he manage to block it by forming his arms into an X shape slightly above his head

When the axe kick landed on his arms the ground beneath Ash slightly caved in due to the force

Ash then countered by kicking the back of her knee and as she goes down, she recovers by doing a handstand then quickly does a backflip and lands back on her feet

They continue to fight for quite a while blow after blow they continue until they decided to fight using weapons

Then they started using different kinds of weapons from bastard swords to Katanas then to gauntlets

They fought and fought until it was getting late which then they quickly left back home and started doing their nightly routine

when they finished they started to cuddle and start giggling underneath their sheets while kissing each other and making out

The next day when they made it back to class Panda and Toge were quite shocked by Maki's new transformation

Panda then ask "Did you have plastic surgery was that why you were absent yesterday"

Ash just "phhtttt" trying not to laugh. Maki just gave him a not amused look making Ash shut up.

Ash then just cleared his throat and cleared up the misunderstanding "No her Heavenly Restriction just went and got upgraded"

Panda and Toge were shocked by this information "How's that possible, a Heavenly Restriction is something one is born with. It's not something one can change willy-nilly"

Ash then got a smug face "You must have forgotten who her boyfriend is, as a phoenix something like this is quite easy"

Panda then got shocked again but for a different reason "why can't I sense her it's like she's not even here. I wouldn't have known she was here if I didn't see her with my own eyes"

"Salmon" Toge said agreeing with Panda

They then explained about her new Heavenly Restriction and it's workings

Yuta then came in and greeted Ash, Panda, and Toge, totally forgetting about Maki

When Yuta was about to ask about Maki he felt a tap on his shoulder which made him jump as he wasn't able to sense anything, he quickly jumped back and got a surprised look when he looked at Maki

They then had to explain what happened to Her once again.

Gojo then came in and when he looked at Maki it was like he went through a Vietnam flashback, he was quite shocked by her transformation and her presence being similar to Toji.

After explaining what happened to Gojo, Gojo then told Ash and Maki what he and the rest of them talked about yesterday

Anyone who see Geto is ordered to eliminate him on site and to prepare since in a month a war was coming and that they would be going in through a few missions together to make them better at dealing with curses in crowds and in large amounts
