89 A Picture to Remember

[Third Person's POV]

As Mai was blasted away spewing blood she rolled on the floor and got into a kneeling position all in one quick motion.

She raised her dual deagles and pulled the triggers in front of her without any pauses in between her moves.

Naoya who was running towards Mai simply swatted away the bullets and laughed amusingly "Hahaha, what do you think those little mosquitoes bullets are going to do"

Naoya went and tried to punch her again but Mai crossed her arms which were enhanced with curse energy and blocked it but she was still sent flying back some more.

She used the momentum to give herself some distance from him and while rolling away she used her curse technique, and made herself some sunglasses and put them on.

Naoya simply looked at her like she was a joke "Phtt, what the hell are doing" he then started to shake his head "Here we are having a battle and you decide that fashion is more important, tsk tsk tsk, this is why women don't belong in the battle field"

Mai just smirked and wiped the blood from the corner of her mouth, she then casually threw something at Naoya "Here Catch"

Naoya looked confused and unconsciously caught it… it was a flashbang, she made with her curse technique before the battle.

"Wha-" *Bang, FLASH* "AAAAHHH MY EYES" Naoya shouted while holding his face with two hands.

"YOU BIT-" Before Naoya could hurl profanities at Mai, Mai enhanced her gun and Bullets with her curse energy and started firing at Naoya who was still disoriented due to the flashbang.

Bullet after bullet, more holes kept appearing on Naoya's until he laid on the floor, even then Mai didn't stop firing until she emptied all her ammo.

Seeing that he was most likely dead she made one more bullet and shot him in the head, right on the center just to make sure.

When she was done she turned around and started walking slowly forward, she then reached into her pockets and pulled out 2 grenades.

She brought them to her mouth and pulled the pins, and as she continued walking forward she threw the now unpinned grenades behind her and continued walking.

*BOOOM*

As both grenades exploded behind her Mai just continued walking without looking back, she took a hold of her sunglasses and chucked it to the side and continued walking back to the compound.

After the explosion Mai's face turned slightly red 'That was so embarrassing! Luckily no one saw me do that'

When she arrived at the compound she saw Maki and Todo sitting down next to their respective opponents dead bodies, she went and joined them

"Were we supposed to bring our opponent's body back and sit next to them or something?" Mai asked as she sat between Maki and Todo.

Maki just shook her head "This idiot just came and saw me sitting next to our fathers body and thought it would be a good idea to go back and bring the body back of his opponent and put it down next to mine and sit like how I was"

"It was supposed to be a cool group photo, are very first clan extermination together as one big family together with our defeated enemies… Go one Mai, go and bring back your guy's dead body" Todo said happily.

Mai looked at Todo in disgust "Ew no, plus it's already too late, I blew his corpses into pieces already"

Todo's shoulder then slumped down "So no group photo huh?" He then snapped his finger, "I got it. We take the photo in front of the destroyed Clan Building"

"Just what is your fixation with photos" Mai asked

Todo then took a hold of his chain around his neck and grabbed the pendant on it, squeezing it tight. "It captures what's most important to us, that's why we must take a picture"

Ash, who was looking down at Naobito, just sighs and lets him get back up "Honestly, I really don't want to kill you. You were probably the only one that didn't have any part In this whole fiasco."

Naobito just scoffed at that and got on one knee and used it as support to stand up, he then got into a fighting position as he said "So you do know I have nothing to do with it and still go and kill all of my clan members?"

Ash just rolled his eyes "Oh please, they were probably all on it and you were probably out of the loop…"

"So you killed them all on probability?" Naobito asked, looking more enraged.

Ash just shrugged his shoulders "If you want to look at it that way sure go ahead, just know they were meant to die either way, I just sped it along."

Naobito gritted his teeth "Even if they were in the wrong, it wasn't your job to pass judgment, it was mine as a clan leader, another job of mine as a clan leader is to avenge all those who fallen"

Naobito then started to surround his entire body with curse energy, Naobito then used his curse technique and speed towards Ash at an unbelievable speed.

But Ash simply cocked back his fist and slammed it right into Naobito's stomach destroying a large chunk of it and sending him flying across the clan compound.

Which created a large explosion of dust where he landed. Ash then flash stepped and appeared right in front of Naobito who was laying on the floor coughing and choking on his own blood.

Ash looked down on him coldly as he said "Just cause I said I didn't really wanted to kill you it doesn't mean I wasn't going to, it would have been idiotic of me to let you live after destroying your clan, so now it's a must that you have to die.

Don't blame it on me, blame it on your own foolishness for not managing your clan better"

Ash then waved his hands and engulfed Naobito entire body on his flames killing him for good.

Ash then made his way towards Maki and the other. As soon as Todo saw him he pumped up his fist "Picture Time! gather around everyone, this needs to be beautiful"

Ash looked a Mai in disbelief "There's no way Todo convinced you to actually make him a tripod and a camera"

Mai blushed as she covered her face with both her hands to hide her embarrassment. Maki just chuckled as she shook her head.

"You know what fuck it, why not let's take a picture"

"Yeah!" Todo shouted, he then set up everything taking care of the angle and making sure to get some dead bodies alongside the view of the destroyed clan building.

Todo then set a timer for 5 seconds and hit it. He then clapped his hands and appeared beside as and leaned his arm on him…

And with a flash and them posing the picture was taken savoring the moment where they destroyed a clan together.
