11 Map of all Lost Ruins

"Are you still alive?" Cidre asked, rushing over to check on Sydra. Walking past the giant spider corpse, Cidre saw that Sydra had both and arm guards smashed into pieces with his dangling beside his body.

"Yeah, I'm alive, just had both my arms utterly crushed. Do you mind reaching into my backpack and grabbing a health potion, I only need a few drops before my regeneration powers can do the rest of the work."

"Sure," Cidre said, running to grab Sydra's backpack and lantern up off the ground, before rummaging through the backpack for the health potion. As he was doing that a misty grey sphere, with a blue and gold machine cog spinning within it, flew out of the spider's mouth and entered Sydra's chest.

'It seems I don't have to be the one to kill the creature or enemy to absorb their aura after they die. I just need to assist in their death.' Sydra thought to himself, as Cidre came back with the health potion.

"How much of this do you think you need?" He asked, unscrewing the top of the potion.

"Let's start with three drops and go from there," Sydra said, opening his mouth and looking up. As Cidre poured a few drops into Sydra's mouth, he felt a warm tingling encase his arms. Looking down at his arms, he saw they were covered in a warm green light and had begun mending back together.

'Wow, that is a potent healing potion.' Sydra thought to himself. "Give me two more drops and I think I'll be fine," Sydra said looking back up at Cidre.

"Here you go," Cidre said as he flipped the bottle over and let two more drops out. After Sydra took them and began healing himself, Cidre headed over to the spider's corpse.

"It looks like this was an evolved stage spider, one of the lower kinds in its rank. If it had been a spider queen, I doubt we would have been able to beat it." Cidre said as he pulled out his arrows from the spider's head. "Damn, I lost two of my arrows."

"Hey, I know a little bit about the ranks of beasts, but not much. Could you tell me more?" Sydra asked while starting to rotate his arms.

"Sure, you know how humans have ranks that go from F-rank all the way up to SSS-rank, well beast also have a ranking system that goes from primary, which is livestock type creatures, all the way up to mythical, which is dragons or other creatures of incredible strength. The entire list goes like this: Primary, Normal, Advanced, Evolved, King, Emperor, Monarch, Legendary, and finally Mythical. All these creatures also have three sub-ranks in their rank and it's low, medium, high. This guy right here" Cidre said patting the spider corpse, "he was a low-evolved ranked beast. Supposedly, spider web makes really strong thread if worked on by a master tailor. My great-grandpa could probably make better backpacks with this stuff if I could get it to him." Cidre said looking downcast.

"Haha, I see what your doing here." Sydra said standing up and pulling his staff, as well as the bone sword he had yet to sell, out of his Arbor Sanctum. Strolling over to the spider's corpse, Sydra froze its abdomen, while leaving the other half of the spider unfrozen. Once the abdomen was completely frozen Sydra took his sword and cut it off the rest of the spider. After that was done, Sydra placed his hands on the frozen abdomen and sent it to his Arbor Sanctum. All this time, Cidre just stood there with his mouth open.

'How big is his inter-spatial storage?' Cidre thought to himself, had he known that it was the size of a giant floating island, he would have cried injustice. After all, the bigger an inter-spatial storage, the more it cost. A small three-cubic meter one cost at least two-hundred and fifty gold, and that spiders abdomen was at least three times that size.

"That's not what I meant... Eh, never mind that I guess. I assume your done healing since your walking around now?" Cidre asked, as Sydra went to the spider's mouth and cut off its pinchers as well. He could bring them to a blacksmith and have him create more daggers for him. Sydra was deeply in love with all daggers, after all.

"Yeah, I'm good now, and I also saw another opening in this cave, up their in the spiders web." Sydra said while thinking about the power he had just absorbed from the spider's aura. The plasma spider's main power was the spiderweb, or at least that's what Sydra thought at first, but now it seemed the spider had a deeper power that it had yet to fully unlock. This power was called Plasma Spider creation, and it could be used to create small plasma spiders that could do a variety of things. Such as scouting the area around Sydra, or creating things out of webs such as sturdy ropes, and hardened web spikes. It all had to do with Sydra's imagination and ability to control the spiders. 'Dang, I was hoping to become some web slinging super hero.' Sydra thought to himself, as he hooked his lantern onto his backpack before slinging it over his shoulder.

"The opening I saw was up there, and it seems to be leading farther into the temple." Sydra explained, as he walked up to the cave wall and pointed up to a dark hole situated thirty meters away from the ground.

"How will we get up there? I don't know about you, but I didn't bring any climbing gear." Cidre answered following Sydra over to the wall.

"I have a plan for that, I'll scale this wall and lower down a rope I bought earlier today for you to climb up." Sydra said, manipulating his bone gauntlets to have sharp curved points coming out of them. When he closed his hands into fist the curved point was situated at the part of the hand that was closest to his pinkies. Raising his hands, Sydra slammed the point into the cave wall and quickly scaled the wall to the dark hole. Once inside he pulled out the rope from his backpack and lowered it down to Cidre.

"Hey, its not low enough, I can't reach it." Cidre yelled up to Sydra, as the rope swung just out of reach.

"Jump for it," Sydra yelled back down to Cidre. Looking up at the rope Cidre jumped up as high as he could and was about to grab the rope before it was pulled out of his reach.

"Damn it, Sydra, once I get up there I'm going to give you a piece of my mind!" Cidre yelled, falling onto his butt.

"Haha, okay... okay, this time for real." Sydra said gasping for air between laughter. Glaring up at him, Cidre jumped up for the rope again and grabbed onto it. Climbing the rope quickly, Cidre managed to reach the mouth of the hole in a few minutes. Upon reaching there, Cidre noticed that Sydra still had a lot of rope that he could have let down.

"What? I had to be ready incase you were to heavy for me to lift." Sydra said, not feeling one bit guilty for what he had done. Punching him in the shoulder, Cidre looked around the path they were now in.

"Where do you think this one leads, hopefully not to more spiders?" Cidre asked, looking back at Sydra who was putting the rope back in his backpack.

"You ask me, but who am I suppose to ask? I couldn't do a quick run down this hall to check it out before you got up here, even though you took enough time climbing the rope that I could have." Sydra responded pulling the lantern back off his backpack and heading down the hallway. Although he wanted to complain, Cidre just shook his head and kept his mouth shut. After walking for a few hours, Sydra and Cidre began to notice a pale blue light coming from up ahead.

"I think that must be another room, lets go." Sydra said as he began to pick up his pace down the hallway. Half an hour later Sydra and Cidre stood with their mouths open as they looked at a room filled with treasures and scrolls.

"Holy motherf*****g cow gods..." Cidre whispered as he slowly walked into the room. "Do you know what this means?! We found the treasure room!!!" Cidre began to get more and more excited as he rushed into the room and picked up an oval shield that was made from Diamondic Steele as well as plasma. "This stuff will make us rich!" Cidre said, shaking the shield in Sydra's face. But Sydra didn't give it a second look, because his eyes were drawn towards something else entirely. It was a piece of a map that showed the entirety of the Emerald Sea forest as well as some land that was outside the forest. It was inside a picture frame that was hung up on the wall, and when Sydra took it down he saw a note tucked into the back of it. Reading the note, Sydra was pleasantly surprised.

'If you wish to open the door to the gods, find the rest of the map and place the pieces together. Only then will the path open once more.'
