7 Hidden Temple Ruins

A few minutes later, Sydra walked out of the bathroom, frowning as he had been unable to flush the toilet, "I'll just have the Inn's staff handle it tomorrow,"

Sydra made it over to his bed and removed his cloak, as well as the daggers on his hips. Sending them into the Arbor Sanctum, Sydra went to lay down on his bed, but he realized he still had something in his pocket.

'Right, the Dragon Egg is still in my pocket,' Sydra thought as he pulled it out of his pocket. The ice blue egg was still giving off a chilly feeling, and a light layer of frost formed on the top of Sydra's hand.

'I should probably send this into the Arbor Sanctum as well, otherwise, it might bring me unwanted attention,' Sydra thought, sending the egg into the Arbor Sanctum before following after it.

Sydra floated over the island as he manipulated the roots from the tree to pick up the egg, bringing it to rest in a nest made from branches. Afterward, he looked around the island, realizing that although it was quite wide, it was incredibly empty.

"It would be nice if I could add a few buildings, like maybe a palace, or my own Guildhall," Sydra said, "Heck, I could probably even build my very own town, but I'm not sure if anyone would want to live here,"

While his thoughts were running wild with countless ideas of the buildings he could create, Sydra returned to his body, falling into a deep sleep soon after. As he slept, the Dragon's egg resting in the Arbor Sanctum began to pulse, each pulse resoanting with the tree as more branches wrapped around the egg.

...

Sydra woke up to find himself sitting inside an icy cave, with a small nest made from icicles in the center. Within the vortex of icicles was an ice blue egg that closely resembled the one he had just placed inside his Arbor Sanctum.

'What is this place?' Sydra wondered as he walked around the cave, but before he could explore to much he heard the sound of something cracking. Sydra turned around to find several cracks had formed on it, created by the small snout picking out of it.

"Rawr...?" The small snout poked fully out of the egg, connected to the head of a baby ice dragon, who peered around the ice cave. Although the ice dragon was looking around, it didn't seem to see Sydra, who was standing straight in front of it.

Climbing out of the egg, the baby ice dragon stumbled around the cave for a few minutes before it got the hang of walking. Excited about the fact that it had figured out walking, the dragon jumped into the air and flapped its wings.

Suddenly, the scene changed from the icy cave to one of a young dragon flying above the clouds. As it's wings touched the clouds, the dragon let out a sound that reseblemed laughter.

'This must be the life of the Ice Dragon, but why am I seeing these memories? Does it have something to do with the the dragon egg?' Sydra wondered as a few more scenes from the Ice Dragons life flashed by.

The memories changened once more, and this time the Ice Dragon was in a intense battle against a group of several A-rank people led by an S-ranker. Suffering a heavy blow that damaged one of its wings, the Ice Dragon escaped from the adventures.

Sydra's surroundings changed one last time, and he now found himself inside the cave he had first woken up in after his transmigration. It was set a few minutes before the Nature Spirit had wandered into the spatial tear, and the Ice Dragon was busy condensing its aura into the shape of an egg.

'So that is how a Dragon Egg is formed, interesting,' Sydra thought, 'Also, it seemed that the Ice Dragon was only at its seventh horn, which was the most likely reason a group of A-ranks could damage it,'

A dragon grew a horn every ten thousand years, and with the appearance of each horn their power grew significantly. The most horns ever seen on a dragon was ten, and it took a total of three SSS-rank people to take it down, with one of them dying in the process.

With all the memories of the Ice Dragon over, Sydra felt his connection with the dragon's egg growing. With his connection growing, Sydra felt his eyes becoming heavier once more, but before they fully shut he saw the outline of a dragons face hidden in the shadows, its eyes narrowed at him.

The next morning, Sydra woke up to the sound of someone knocking on his door. Getting up from his bed, Sydra pulled his cloak and daggers out of the Arbor Sanctum and put them on before walking over to the door.

"Hold on a second," Sydra called out as he opened the door. On the other side he saw a maid standing next to a lumberjack, "Yes...?"

"Ahem, I heard that you needed a lumberjack, sir?" said the maid, gesturing at the lumberjack beside her. "This is my husband, I hope he can help you,"

"Sorry?" Sydra said, baffled at what the maid said, 'Is she talking about what I said last night?'

"Do... you not need a lumberjack, then?" The maid asked, turning slightly red, "My mistake,"

"No... but I am having problems with the toilet, do you mind having someone come look at it?" Sydra asked, causing the maids husband to laugh as he walked away. The maid glared at her husbands back before looking back at Sydra.

"Certainly, sir. I can take care of it, personally," The maid said as she pushed past Sydra and headed to the bathroom. Leaving the maid to her work, Sydra stepped out of the room and headed down the hallway. But as he walked he heard the maid yelling from inside his room.

"Someone get my husband back here!! Some dumbass planted a whole tree in the toilet in here," When Sydra heard the maid yell that, he hurried out of the building, in case she came after him.

'It might be a good idea to sneak in tonight, I'd rather not face that angry maid.' Sydra thought to himself, heading towards a training area in th center of town. Sydra was aware that if he didn't train himself with the Nature Spirit's knowledge of weapons and fighting skills, then it was very unlikely he would survive long enough to explore the world.

Sydra entered the training hall and looked around. It was a wide area, with multiple targets set up for people to practice on. Several of the targets even moved, which made it more difficult for the people training, helping them to increase their abilities.

As Sydra walked across the room, he felt a blast of energy flying towards the back of his head and ducked down. The blast of energy flew over his head and slammed into the wall on the other side, causing a green explosion.

"I am so sorry about that!" A young boy yelled as he ran over to Sydra, "Are you okay? I didn't even see you until after you had dodged my ability,"

"I'm fine, I managed to move out of the way in time," Sydra responded, an idea forming in his head as he looked at the boy, "Actually, I'm trying to train myself, so if you could fire a few more attacks at me, that would be great. Also, you don't have to worry about hurting me, I heal pretty quickly,"

"Are you sure?" The boy asked, looking at Sydra like he was crazy, "But I guess if you really want me too, it would be fine,"

Nodding his head, Sydra and the boy practiced for the next few hours, with Sydra getting hit every once in a while. By the end of the third hour, Sydra felt that he had gotten the hang of using the Nature Spirit's fighting knowledge, and decided to head to the Guildhall to pick up a new quest as well as collect the rest of his reward for the Sunset Fortune quest.

When Sydra reached the Guildhall, he noticed that it seemed to be busier than yesterday, and more people wearing special gear were heading in and out.

'I wonder what's going on,' Sydra thought while he walked over to up to the large oak doors. As Sydra approached the door he grabbed the arm of a man who was rushing out so he could ask him some quesitons.

"Hey, why is everyone running in and out of the guildhall?" Sydra asked, letting go of the mans arm when he turned around.

"You haven't heard yet? Some people discovered a set of temple ruins in the Emerald Sea Forest, and everyone is getting prepared to explore it. The Guildhall is setting up quests for people who wish to join in, and they're giving maps and supplies to those who sign contracts with them!" The man said excitedly as he showed Sydra a map, "Some people who signed the contract even brought back a special sword with them, one that was made in the Plasma Era,"

Before Sydra can ask any more, the man ran off, and Sydra was left to enter the Guildhall if he wanted more information, 'Maybe I can find Robert, and ask him what is going on?'
