A White Lie

After Karmal squealed loudly for help, Shank came to his senses. Marjal also got scared and started nonstop shouting and groaning. The scientist understood that the cat and rat that were making a scene are friends for rat he took out and turned to the cat's cage and said

"Yeh! yeh!, uoy nac mlac nwod ko?! ma ton gniog ot od gnihtyna ot mih os mlac nwod won. ahah!"

then he turned to the rat's cage and said

"Uoy oot, tond yrrow eh lliw eb efas"

Although Shank and Marjal didn't understand a single thing that he spoke, they calmed down because of the expression he had, they didn't feel any evil intentions. The scientist took Karmal and put him on a workbench and kept his hand on Karmal's head and kept his left hand on Karmal's spine and started injecting magic force into him. after some time, the magic force that was injected into Karmal's body resonates which helps scientist to identify which stage Karmal is in.

After sensing the magic energy resonated by Karmal, the scientist exclaimed in shock taking his hand away from him and looking at Karmal with a frightened look. After thinking for a while, he came back to his senses and started thinking deeply while keeping his right hand on his chin.

Shank who is observing everything from his cage is frightened thinking that the scientist might have observed the sudden growth in Karmal and may do vigorous experiments on him again. On the other side, Marjal laughed to himself thinking that even the scientist is shocked sensing the power of his brother stupidly. Meanwhile, Karmal is confused about what is happening and why is the scientist shocked.

After some deep thought, the scientist walked toward the board on which he is writing the report and thought "Sey! I evah dediced" While the scientist is about to write something in the report, Karmal observes that the scientist is distracted and takes the pen-like objects placed on the table. Karmal is trying to figure out how to write using those objects. He finds a button-like structure on it and observes a mark that he does not understand. With the experience of reading many fantasy novels back in his world, he guessed that he may have to send the magic force into it. He actually does not know how to use magic but can sense it in the air and his atmosphere. But he imagined those magic particles entering the pen and nothing happened. He then tried imagining the magic particles flowing into the pen through his body and observed a tiny projection coming out from the top of the pen but it is not a real object. it is simply a magic device that works on magic essence for functioning. Karmal is amazed because of the technology present in that world. While he is distracted by the pen, the scientist observes that the rat is still outside the cage and he slowly walks towards it in order not to cause too much attention to the rat and gets almost near it.

Karmal senses an evil intent coming from the back of his head. Karmal immediately points the pen to the scientist standing on his two legs. The scientist finds him a little adorable and laughs to himself. the scientist drops the pen he is using to write the report and slowly takes the object present in Karmal's hand and keeps it on the table. He then takes Karmal into his hands and pets him under his neck. Karmal gets a feeling of comfort and leans back in his hands. the scientist slowly walks toward the cage and puts Karmal into his cage while petting him. Karmal was disappointed and said

" What! That's it!? too soon. come on.." Karmal felt disappointed.

The scientist then walked towards the board and wrote in the tab mentioning the stage details as a mid-latent stage instead of the advanced dominant stage which is truth. The scientist thought to himself that if the actual stage is exposed the rat will be taken away by the higher authorities and it may cause worse to the rat, so he decided to lie about it.

He said to himself "lie to protect someone or to do a good deed is just a white lie"
