A FRESH START

Tetsuo: Usagi, Usagi

Usagi: (yawns) ,good morning big brother

Tetsuo: good morning Usagi, go get ready for school, it's the first day of junior high school today, so you'll certainly need to make a good first impression.

Usagi: Yes

Tetsuo: also, your breakfast is ready so don't take too long or it will get cold

(Usagi trips and falls on her face)

(Sachiko): it's already that time of the year ,when the cherry blossoms bloom

(Sachiko) : amazing, the breeze feels great, it's one of the best feeling when it's blowing my hair (smiles)

(Sachiko): Time sure has passed, I'm already in my first year of high school.

(Sachiko): I'll have to make a good first impression on my peers

(Tetsuo and Usagi walks by Sachiko)

Usagi: hey , big brother didn't that girl we passed just now seemed familiar

Sachiko: oh Naomi what took you so long ?

(Naomi): yesterday was the day that the track camp ended, so I was tired that's all

Sachiko: oh okay, let's go to the entrance ceremony

Daiji: good morning everyone, my name is Daiji Sato and I am the principal of this fine institution Toshigawa academy

Daiji: everyone here had received high ranking scores on the exams and I congratulate each and every one of you for excelling in those assessments and also being selected to attend this school

Daiji: I will now hand over the podium to the student council president

Yoshida: good morning, my name is Hitomi Yoshida and as you know I'm the student council president. I applaud each and everyone of you for qualifying to attend one of the most prestigious high schools in the prefecture. Although the entrance exam was proven to be a challenge to many students who did not make it, all of you are here now which is quite impressive. In your first sessions today you will receive a handbook which comprises of the sports this school has to offer , the anthem and school songs and most of all the rules and regulations all of us should abide by . That's all enjoy your first day of school.

Naomi: Sachiko, let's sit beside each other

Sachiko: okay

Naomi: who would have thought that I would have ended up in the elite class 1T , I thought that I barely passed

Sachiko: don't say that , you have studied really hard to get here

Naomi: you're right, however, it was quite shocking. By the way congrats on ranking second in the exams we definitely need to celebrate after school today how about karaoke?

Sachiko: sure

(Sachiko): I don't feel bad about coming in second place . however, that guy I saw earlier looks exactly the same as Tetsu-kun, a boy I knew years ago. However, why would he appear out of nowhere after all this time ,I wonder….

( Teacher walks in)

Hayami-sensei: good morning, my name is Satomi Hayami but call me Hayami-sensei I'll be your home room teacher for the rest of this year. I would appreciate it if all of you were to introduce yourselves so that I could be acquainted

Makoto: my name is Makoto Kurai, I'm age 15 and there is nothing special about me, just your average daily student

Naomi: my name is Naomi Nakamura , I'm 15 as well, my hobbies are reading ,playing sports and karaoke and in the future I would like to become a professional female sprinter and my dream is to represent this country and partake in the Olympics.

Hayami-sensei: you will definitely succeed with that optimism and confidence of yours.

Shino: um my name is Katsuragi Shino , I'm 15 years old nice to meet all of you

(Sachiko): (glances around the classroom)

Sachiko: sorry I zoned out for a bit, good morning everyone my name is Takahashi Sachiko, I'm 15 years old , my hobbies are applying makeup and cosmetics and cooking and I aspire to become a dermatologist.

Hayami-sensei: that's a great goal to have I hope that you succeed

Tetsuo: good morning , my name is Tetsuo Kawaguchi and I'm just your average teenager. Not sure what I want to become in the future but hopefully I figure it out soon and I don't do anything special in my free time. It's nice to meet all of you.

(Sachiko): I was right , he is Tetsuo Kawaguchi the boy who placed first in our class

Hayami-sensei: okay so now that we are all acquainted, I will now begin the lesson

???: Oh come on! It's the first day of school

Hayami-sensei: this school is the best of the best and we always start to teach our students on their first day, so prepare yourself to learn am I clear!!!

( School bell rings)

Yukio: do you have any experience in playing basketball

Shino: um I've never played a basketball match before, I have been playing in middle school and junior high school and I haven't even got the chance to play a match against any school. I didn't even got a jersey when match time came around.

(Yukio): the tournament is in six months, will I be able to train him to at least be average in time

Usagi: you always protected me back then and even now and despite all the dangers and threats of loosing your life you would risk it all to make sure I'm safe and happy . You practically put my safety over your own which is what I love about you Tetsuo. You are the embodiment of the big brother every girl wants. I want you to stay by my side forever don't ever leave me okay

( Slightly low snores)

Tetsuo: (covers her up with a blanket)

(Tetsuo) : I don't care what happens to me , as far as I can tell I'm already dead but you are the little life and anchor I have left in this world so I'll protect you at all cost, even with my own life

(Tetsuo) : let's see, so I have gym class first thing tomorrow huh, let me go get my gym gear

( Portrait falls to the ground)
