2 PERFECT REBOUND

A week has passed since the last coversation of Ynna and Kairos. Kairos and Maggie's separation broke the internet after people heard of it.

Snow ran to her friend to spread news, "Look at Kairos, damn. He even beat the famous actors, he has a lot of fans. I would understand if it's Maggie because she's an actress but Kairos is on a whole new level." Snow can't believe what she saw on the internet.

"Oh, he looks handsome here. What a waste. They really suit each other but Maggie's such a little devil." She then laughed like crazy.

Ynna sighed. "Oops, sorry! I am just joking. They don't suit each other. You know what?You two really suit each other. I mean—everybody knows that, right? Ynna and Kairos." Snow trying to change the topic.

Ynna's eyes widened because of what her friend said. She moved faster than lightning to cover her Snow's mouth.

"Snow, what did I tell you? Don't say that, he's my best friend. You know that he's already the talk of the town and your freaking loud voice might cause another issue." She worriedly said, her hands still covering Snow's loud mouth.

Snow just rolled her eyes.

"Bestfriend, bestfriend. Yeah, right. He treats you like a best friend but how about you? What do you think of him?" Snow grinned like an idiot.

She sighed. Snow really knows her. She just wants to turn into a bubble after remembering what she and Kairos talked about last week. Maybe Kairos is now thinking differently of her. Maybe, maybe he knows about her feelings.

She can't help but slap herself. Why did she do that? She's now regretting her life decisions. Maybe she should just go to another country. She's not even drunk when said that, so what came to her mind and she did that.

"Hey Snow, you know what? Kairos and I, we talked last week and-- and I told him something." She bit her lower lip.

"Oh my gosh! What did you tell him? Did you confess? Gosh. You didn't even bother to tell me right away. Maybe that's the reason why Kairos really broke up with his girl." Snow said, trying to annoy her friend.

Ynna rolled her eyes. "It's not like that, he told me that they broke up and I--I told him something. Well, I-I told him to use me to get rid of his feelings for Maggie." Her face turned into a tomato after telling her friend.

"What? If it's for Kairos, he will only think that you said that because you are his friend but for me? Nu-uh. You can't fool me. It's like you told him that because you have feelings for him. I think he'll deny your offer, he won't use you Ynna. I mean—you are his best friend!" Her friend told her.

The truth is, she doesn't want to risk their friendship just because of her feelings. She kept everything for years for the sake of their friendship but when she learned about their breakup, something sparked inside of her.

They were about to leave the building when another person bumped into her. Ynna apologized while panicking.

"S-sorry." Ynna was surprised when she realized who the person she bumped into.

It's Kairos! He is wearing black shades with his hands in his pocket. He looks expensive! The reason why the girls are all over him.

"K-kairos, it's you! What are you doing here?" She tried to calm herself.

Kairos stared at her face for a few seconds before answering.

"I was just about to go to you. I was thinking about watching a movie, don't you want to?" Other girls would surely faint if he asked them this. He looked so cool when he asked her.

Ynna's heart made a beat, "I-I'm still with Snow!" Kairos dragged her to the car not minding what she said.

"Go girl! Don't worry about me. I'm wishing you luck!" She can hear the scream of her friend. Ynna slapped her face in embarassment.

She closed her eyes trying to hide her blushing face. She kept quiet when she entered the car and it's the same with Kairos. It's only the engine you can hear the whole time. No one is willing to break the silence.

"U-uhm, last week—nevermind. Are you alright? Have you been well?" At last, Ynna broke the silence.

Ynna felt the way Kairos' eyes moved to look at her but the moment he did that, she felt her heart race like a teenage girl falling in love all over again.

"Ynna." Kairos calling her name sounds pleasant to her ears.

She gulped. Her hands are slowly becoming wet because of their conversation, "Y-yes?" She nervously said.

"Are you sure about it?" He asked.

"Sure about what?" Ynna tried to smile and pretended that she doesn't know anything.

She wants to self-destruct and get away from where she is. She wants to go away from Kairos. Her heart can't take what's happening.

"Are you sure about it? Last week, you told me that—you know, I could use you." Kairos' tone became different when he said that. It's already cold and it became even colder when he talked.

Is she sure about it? Is there no going back? Is she serious about it? What?

"Yes, of course I am! I'm your bestfriend, I'm here if you need me. I'm willing Kairos. Why did you ask? Have you already made a decision?" She tried to not let him notice that she's nervous.

'You really are an idiot Ynna! You should've answered no. Idiot! Martyr! What the heck girl?'

Kairos stopped the car, "Hey, I thought we are going to watch a movie. Where is this place?" Ynna asked with a curious face.

"You are so noisy Ynna. Maybe you will stop if I kiss you." Ynna's face reddened the same time her eyes widened.

Wtf. Is he really Kairos? It's the first time saying something like that to her and she's surprised with his attitude!

"What the fck?" Ynna cursed. Kairos looked at her with disbelief.

"Language, lady." He said.

"What do you mean by that? It's your fault! You are even flirting with your own friend. You really are something, huh." She rolled her eyes.

Kairos laughed, "That's because you are noisy. By the way, about what you said last week, are you sure about it best friend?" Kairos really highlighted the last word.

Is he mocking me? "Yes, I'm sure about it best friend." Ynna did the same.

A moment of silence before Kairos decided to tell her, "Be my girlfriend."

Her jaw dropped. His girlfriend? Her heart raced one again. "Be my girlfriend Ynna, you told me we could do that." Kairos said in a cute way.

Ynna doesn't know what to feel. She felt really happy but a small part of her heart felt sad.

"Okay." She said with a small smile.

She knew it. Ynna faked a smile. Even though she knows that she will only be in a relationship with him for a short time—even for a short time, she will do everything. She knows that she's just a rebound and she will be the perfect rebound.
