In a matter of seconds, Nathaniel was on his way. Scaled about two fences as he had left the former sacred thinking spot he had stayed for about two hours prior before he received another text from Anna Marie.
He got more upset than worried as he had missed the charity dance show he was initially invited to and now....
His friends were involved in another fairy tale masaca, with Kai haven to take care of it by herself.
The continuous dinging of his phone made it a lot harder to concerntrate as he crossed another street leading to a roundabout a bit close to the stated venue.
The scenery that was played out this morning was still part of the distraction. He recalled his mother promising such would not repeat itself. And that had been a few years back.
Does that now say that she had been doing it behind his trust. Her exact words being continuous apologies at the last time it had occured. The stranger had him pinned to the kitchen wall because he had confronted him and tried to fight him out of his house.
With dull efforts, it still ended up with him having a black sore eye and bite marks on the arm of the man that came home with his mother after her call that night.
The second he was released from the man's hold, he made a run for it.
To his fortress of solitude....
Unlike superman, his was the small containment at the back of the kiddies slide in one of the parks a bit far from his house. That has been his spot since his first ever encounter with those morons who just used his mother for their sex dolls.
There he would rant, punch, kick... cry his heart out to the plastic walls of the slide spacing, where most kids ignored because of the sliding experience.
But now wasn't the time to worry about that. He knew that he couldn't avoid the conversation with his mother, but now the second most important girl in his life needs his support.
He had to go to her...

"Thank you so much young man. Bless you", the mother of five appreciated the life guard for helping save his daughter.
"Part of the job Ma'am", Daniel shook her hand gently has he had watched her shower his friend with more kisses than he had offered his girlfriend during their "moments"...
She replied with a nod before she left to check on her baby girl again.
Danny scanned the area. What had happened shook the whole beach. The sudden arrival of the giant water creature, then it's disappearance left the rest at sea.
He had wondered how his friend was able to rescue the poor girl and not get eaten, or pulverised by the monster.
His eyes met said friend surrounded with her other girl friends, all having worried looks on their faces with questions spilling out of their lips.
And where in the deep blue seas was Nathaniel?...
With all that had happened, he still was a no show...
He'd get back to that when the dick gets here...
Daniel approached the girls. Kai had herself wrapped in fluffy beach towels with Ashley sitting by her side and the rest standing around them.
"You okay Tatsuki?", he asked as he joined them.
Kai replied with a small nod, with her hair sticking to her forehead. She was soaked to her shoes. Her friends throwing questions which she managed to answer with make shift excuses, most false statements while some with small truths.
Anna's gaze left her friend as she searched for her other friend. Slipping her phone out her pocket, she sent another text to him.
- Five seconds Nathan. That's all I'm giving you to get your boi ass over here...
"What about now?", Nonnie asked her as she had noticed her tap away on her phone.
She replied with a shake of her head.
Kai's mind travelled again to what was keeping her friend. Sure she had defended him on the having something to do reseme, but that has been about four hours ago. She was starting to get worried. She remembered the figure that had a small object in hand right after the sea monster had disappeared.
Where could it have come from?
Was it another alliance with the twins?
Had it disappeared to go after something else?
Nathaniel could be in danger...
Her grandfather....
The furrow between her brows intensified as her thoughts spread further.
Her grandfather was too weak to keep his form or rather protect himself.
And there was Nathaniel...
"You sure?", Ashley's question interrupted her thoughts as she turned her head to face her friend.
"Better than before anyways", Kai countered. She didn't lie about feeling sore. whatever her powers did to the creature back in the water made the whole human and dragon sharing body thing a lot more painful.
She would have to ask her grandfather later.
Ashley placed a supportive hand on her shoulder before giving her a smile.
Kai replied with a smile of her owner as she leaned sideways so that her weary head laid on her friend's shoulder.
She watched Anna have her meltdown as she was sure that she was also worried about Nathaniel. Kai had told her about the shadow she had seen. Since then, Anna has sent texts to him, called even. Till now, no reply..
She saw Anna's eyes widen as she had her gaze meeting someone else's.
"Nathan", she spat out as she was sure she got the others attention.
Not thinking twice, Kai ripped the towel from her being, revealing the outline of her peach lacy bra under her still wet white cotton shirt.
She paddled her way through the crowd that separated them as he made way as well.
They finally met ...
Jades' meeting greys as they covered the small space between them. The crowd began to disperse as they were only a few steps apart.
Nathaniel studied his damply clothed friend as her features were obvious and has he had imagined. The way her wet hair stuck to her face just made him want her more.
Skin still reflecting with the sun, she took in the look in his eyes.
Disturbed, doubt. It read it all.
Where has he been?
"Hey", she greeted with a lopsided smile. Nathaniel placed a hand forward for her to shake.. or hold.
The gesture was replied with the comfortable warmth of her's as he pulled her towards himself before he engulfed her into a hug.
This he needed.
Let the mummy issues get squeezed out from this gestured hold.
She was alright. She took care of whatever had happened and no one looked like they were hurt. He felt her hair dampen his grey t- shirt as she relaxed into his chest.
She wrapped her arms around his waist as he had his wrapped around her back.
Nathaniel Blake gave the best hugs. Her body sinking into the hug without a care in infinite realms about her friends who were probably fan girling on their ship or the onlookers who just watched them hug.
"I was worried", she managed to say as she felt him tighten his gentle hold on her.
"I'm sorry. I had a bad morning. Didn't wanna show up for the charity concert looking all grumpy mcstuffins", he chuckled at his terrible joke attempt.
He felt her hmm against his chest as she tried not to giggle at his joke.
Placing his chin on top of her soft black straights, he's eyes met his other friends who had wide grins on their faces.
A smile on his face as he sent a wink to the crew.
"They're starring, aren't they?", She asked still holding on to him.
Now he could feel and hear her sweet giggles.
"Yes... yes they are"
