17 15...

"The first time we met", he chuckled "Remains like a prayer". "its like, asking for something then getting the unexpected in return. Wanting another thing but receiving something else, the later... much bigger and so much better than what you intended". "A rejected feeling that always finds its way right back" "Retaining every once of serenity in your heart".

Nathaniel watched her steady figure, chest rising and falling in a gentle but unnoticeable rhythm. Her lips slightly apart as lingering breathes escaped. His mind clouded with a mixture of doubt and hope that she would come back, snuggling into his arms again. it was sign, her gentle breathing held his sanity and filled his eyes with tears, wishing she would come back any faster.

His mind consumed with all of her, removing any alterations and just fixed it on his beloved friend. His thoughts roaming free as he remembered...

"Just like the first time_"

<- "Now that that's over", his bestfriend slid into the vacant space beside him on the cafeteria table set he sat while devouring a nicely deserved snack. Anna Marie awaited his reply as he gulped down a whiff of water to swallow the food. A basketball sitting in front of her as she moved it aside to bring up her next 'must do together' activity she had planned for both of them. Nathaniel rose a questionable brow at his friend. in reply, she pushed the brochure towards him so that he could get a better look at it.

"So...". she pressed further. Eagerly antsy to hear his answer. Anna Marie had tried to drag him to many of these conventions where he was forced to learn what he tries not to due to not haven learnt what he was suppose to. Moments like this, he thanked Coach Brooks for over time basketball training and unexpected mid field games he solemnly had to attend.

So, he refined to stuffing his face with delight, chewing his way to ignorance. Anna sighed at his indirect lack of participation as she began sliding the paper from his side. The disappointed glint in her eyes as obvious as day. It wasn't long before she pulled the 'puppy pouty face' which for a reason he wasn't sure for himself, why he couldn't yell out his negativity in peace when she did.. the 'look'.

The downcast look on her face says otherwise, she had waited for the next best time to just throw another activity brochure up his ass the very second he was free or wasn't occupied by school work or his lame attempt to figurate an excuse which would give her no other choice but to back off and try her luck next time. She lets out a puff of air as she peeped a glare at him. Anna saw how he struggled to keep his mind focused on his Vege burger as he now took unconscious bites then play with a lettuce strand between his lips.

it was either her guilt trip was working, or he had completely forgotten how to work the burger into his mouth hole.

Atlas, he placed the almost half eaten burger on its plate, took a quick drink of water then turned hi attention to his desperate friend. "You're not letting this go, are you?", he sheepishly asked as she replied with a playful shrug. Who could have thought the sappy look on her face was for display.

"Huh!" "The convention's when exactly?", he took the unwilling leap of fate as a faint squeal followed his question. Anna pushed the piece back to his side abruptly as she watched him gradually study the brochure. "Next Wednesday, after school", he mumbled to himself. Knowing far too well that an excuse was futile.

Her eagerness taking its heights as she watched on. Haven concluded, he looked away from the material to answer her undying request. "Will it hurt if I think about it", a grin flashed across his face.

The answer at the tips of her tongue, interrupted by a sudden loud bang that caught both their attention.->

"We met.."

<- "okay losers, you know the drill". Stephanie had all occupants on the table on their feet as all but one moved in a haste. Dark haired, mildly short, regular thick but with a petite figure. The girl packed up nicely, lifting her bag over her shoulder with what was left of her salad in one hand and her bottled water in the other. Scoffing at the bullies antics, she stepped out of the table fused with chair set. Disgusted to her core, she turned around looking for another vacant or slightly occupied table she could munch on.

Nathaniel's gaze never left the girl, completely diverted from his former discussion with his friend. Anna swallowed in her excitement of about seconds ago to see the lost girl herself. Her thoughts suddenly encircled in where she could sit.

In an instant, her hand was up. Signifying her welcome and offering her a sit. The girl's attention gotten, she rose a brow at the lad that signaled her and then a smile to why she did. Head held a bit high, she began walking to the table, her eyes meeting Jades that swiftly left hers as they made contact.

A shriek stopped her in her tracks as she turned away from the offer to the commotion. Her eyes met with an angry blond and an apologetic dark brunette who had her hands at a plea and her whole lunch tray emptied on the others' clothing.

"oh now you've done it"

The chic grabbed a currently full tray from one of the girls who accompanied her before downing it on the girl, with no regrets attached. Anna, Nathaniel and the rest of the cafeteria looked on as sudden hysterical laughter echoed between the three girls before it successfully spread to most of the room.

Kind heartedly, the girl who was once offered a sit turned on her heels as she walked briskly to fend for the embarrassed victim. Haven examined her, she helped her to her feet before she returned her gaze to the bullying trio.

"Accidents happen you know", she spat.

Stephanie courts had her dress attended to while she starred daggers at the some sort 'hero' and the utterly ridiculous damsel in distress, Not everyone likes it when you play dress up, its best she put them both in their place. She smiled under all the sudden hate.

"you're right... accidents do happen", her sympathy slimmed with grief.

Another burst of laughter erupted in the cafeteria as the supporter felt some kind of thick liquid slide its way into her shirt with crumps from pieced pastries fell on her face when they had downed a lunch tray on her head as well.

Well played...

Anna was quick to help both girls but was stopped by a firm hand on her arm. Her best friend's gaze instructed her to stay put and just manageably watch it all go down.

"OOPS", the blonde shrugged as the room roared in laughter again.

Her cool in check, the dark haired girl begrudgingly laced hands with the formerly wounded soul as they both strutted out of the school literal mess hall to get themselves cleaned up.

People reverting to their lunches while a set of two friends left to make sure all was well.
