12 10...

"You have done well Sheena", Empress Rukon complimented, drifting gazes from the entity that bowed before her and the twin destroyers who both leaned in the shadows, watching their new ally with grinmance written on their faces.

"it's an honor". Sheena replied with a grin of her own.

The empress had called upon her to help fufil her aging quest. She had promised her whatsoever she desired and that wasn't an offer she could possibly turn down.

Sheena pledged her loyalty ever since. If her Lord wanted mere dead, she would receive her more than dead.

"The Shugal beast is known for its refine nature. Blissful in many ways, but the deadliest in it's habitat. The Legendarium remains remarkable as the old folks says".

"Sheena from the ancient world of monsters. You have earned my alliance and I hope you won't take it merely "

"Of course", she immediately replied as she bowed her head further.

Rukon tutted. She was running out of options. She wanted the draganoid creature gone, and if it meant making petty dealings with semi incompetent fools who would do anything to earn a grace,..then so be it.

"I want a new one, more powerful and capable to get the job done..", she ordered.

Sheena stood from her crouched position as she stood firmly in front of the empress.

Bringing both her hands forward, she opened up her palms as light glitter like dust formed.

in an instant, the ancient book of monsters settled on her hands.

Light still emitting from its covers, the book began flipping it's pages. Haven found it's next beast, it stopped.

A smirk crawled on the conqueror's face.

"Thank you Jericho, you may take your seat".

The timid blonde sat at his regular desk. All eyes on the tardy teen who now had his head in his palms.

"Helping his bakery in his parents... that's a new one", Stephanie made a joke out of his former excuse as most of the class bursts into teasing laughter.

"That's enough out of you Courts"

She clapped to get their attention, as the laughter finally subsided and the class was filled with it's attentive quietness.

"The banter can wait, Jericho, please endeavour to be on time", she warned.

The student replied with a nod.

Mrs Meyers looked around the class, hoping she could go ahead with the lesson. No side talks or laughter gave the permission clearly. So, she continued.

"As I said before, you would be placed into groups, which will be assigned in the next class. I'm informing you now to prepare yourself. Your project is based__"

Her mind had blanked out. The pain was sufferable enough.

She needed to leave.

She felt it. Her body ripping itself apart. Stings penetrating her chest and already distressed soul. From time to time, she would yawn in replacement of her groans. Which thankfully her teacher would ignore.

Her dragon getting loose, as she felt her skin burn up. Her head feeling light and her humane engulfed in flames.

A more sharper pain coarsed through her body as she flinched at the feeling...

She needs to leave.. Now!!!

A gentle hand reached out to hers from underneath the desk as she turned her face to be met with her best friend's worried stare.

The contact was retracted as she was sure Anna felt her boiling hot skin.

Immediately, Kai looks away from her. Not sure what to tell her, and even if she did know... didn't know if she could.

That because of the glare Mrs Meyers currently gave her, the kind that struck an apple with an arrow.

"Is there a problem Kai?", she asked.

Instinctively, her arms were wrapped around herself as she stood from her seat.

"M_may I be excused?", she simply asked

Mrs Meyers replied with a reluctant nod.

In an instant, she was out....

******

With a final gulp, she had downed the whole bottle. Trying to regain her balance, she felt the liquid supposedly do its part in her body.

Kai still felt hot and a bit light headed, but at the moment the pain had reduced.

"What's wrong with me?".

She examined her hand as she caught sight of faintly highlighted scales on it's back. The painful excercise had never exceeded the former struggle. The medication seemed like it just had a little effect.

She begged her aching to cease as a sudden rush of heat took over again.

Slamming herself against her locker, she tried keeping it back in.

Taking in heavy breathes, she steadied herself

Her mind set on getting the hell out of there and get to her grandfather..

Or at the very least, get away....

"Kai", a voice called her name.

"I was told to check up on you.. you okay girl"

That was Gary. Another friend of hers.

"I've been in the girl's bathroom... Two words, Un expected", he joked. His voice coming closer. He had just a small turn to meet her at her locker.

Meet her with her other form about to be spilled to the unknown.

Kai held back her breathe as she made large strides to the other side of the locker corridors. Gary's footsteps could be heard echoing in the halls.

"Kai, are you here?", he asked the empty halls as he had finally crossed to the side she formally was.

With the support of the cold metallic structure she currently leaned on, she pushed herself forward as she made her way to the girl's bathroom.

.....

Sliding down to the tiled floors, with her back leaning on the small bathroom cubicle stall door with her hands over her head, screaming quietly to herself.

Her fingernails were now replaced by claws which bored into her scalp. The pain resurfacing, her head pounding, her chest aching and the rest of her body.. torn to shreds..

Finally, she lets out a scream. Slamming her head continuously to the door, she lets out more screams.

A small budge could be felt, like someone was trying to open the door.

The pushing became more forceful as Kai struggled to keep it closed. Her body disappointed her, she felt to weak to keep trying.

Faint groans escaped her throat as she tried crawling away from the door, currently not giving a damn. If the world was to see her for who she truly was, so be it.

A head peeked through the small space between the door and the support. The person had her breathe hitched at the sight of her friend in so much despair.

"Kai", Anna Marie called.

She slipped through the space, going on all four to get closer to her friend.

"Kai... Kai", she continuously called.

Why wasn't she answering.

Examining her, she caught sight of her friend's eyes. They weren't her greys. Instead, deadlier.

A deep yellowish background colored her cornea with a small lightly shaped slit in it's center.

"Anna", she managed to say..

"Yes, I'm here... I'm here Kai".

Anna pulled her hot body to her warmer self. Flinching a bit as the contact burned.

Kai relaxed. Her eyes becoming heavy, she lets them close up.

In an instant, the glow shone.

Her magic dancing around the small stall as the temperature in the bathroom rose.

Anna watched her friend... evolve?

she wasn't sure...

Moving her hand to her forehead, the burning intensified...

"What in hell?"....
