A Quest For Survival

After entering the golden portal, Alex found himself in a golden world. Golden mist was floating above the ground and the clouds in the sky were also golden. 

The flying golem landed on what seemed to be an island surrounded by a golden sea. Alex wasn't sure how wide the island was, but, according to his estimate, it was less than two kilometers. 

The ten-meter-tall flying golem gently placed Alex on the ground. It then hovered in the air and stayed there impassively. 

Crab Car clicked its claws and pointed in a direction. 

"Kreeeee."

"Go that way?"

"Kreee." The little crab nodded.

Alex walked forward, but he would glance back at the flying golem every now and then. He was wondering if the golem would stop, or attack, him as he moved deeper into the island. 

However, the golden golem didn't do anything.
