Chapter 1: Alan White

Alan White was a very unique child. With his snow-white hair and piercing silver eyes, he stood out from the other kids in the orphanage. But what set him apart the most was his incredible intelligence - at just 5 years old, his IQ was already higher than most adults. Despite his young age, Alan was a bit of a loner, often lost in thought as he pondered the mysteries of the universe. He struggled to connect with the other kids, who didn't understand his love of learning and exploration. But even in his solitude, Alan's mind was a constant whirlwind of ideas and possibilities.

Alan was contemplating the possibility that magic might actually exist, a notion that was prompted by some of the events he had experienced. For instance, there was a time when he had the ability to read the thoughts of his caregiver, Miss Johnson, when she gave him a critical look. During that moment, he was able to hear her thoughts clearly as they made eye contact.

Miss Johnson's thoughts were centered around questioning Alan's age, wondering how he was able to solve calculus problems with such ease. This experience left him feeling both unsettled and excited at the prospect that magic might not just be a work of fiction but could actually exist in the real world.

As Alan continued to explore this idea, he began experimenting with his own abilities. He attempted to read the minds of those around him and was surprised to find that he could often hear their thoughts.

This wasn't the only thing that he was able to do. He was also able to move objects with will alone. Though this was very difficult at first and Alan only came to know of this ability due to his laziness. This happened when he was tired after cleaning his dorm with his two roommates at night. Alan was so exhausted that he couldn't get up to get his water bottle, and his dormmates were already asleep, so asking them was not an option. At that time, Alan wished that the bottle would just come to the palm of his hand, and much to his surprise, the bottle actually did come soaring at him and smacked him in the face. He was so shocked that he didn't even register the pain at that moment.

Though this ability was a lot more draining than reading the minds of others, with practice, it became much easier for him to move things around with his mind. Though he only used this ability when no one was around.

Things continued like this, and by the time it was Alan's 11th birthday on June 9, 1991, he had already progressed by leagues and bounds in many aspects.

For one, he was already in his last year of Bachelor's Degree. He had opted for the field of Computer Science as it was the field in which he saw the future of the world. He also had plans to start his own company that is centered on the advancement of technology.

Aside from the matter that he was hailed as a genius by his professors at college, he had made a lot of improvements to his already magical abilities. Now, he could easily control most of the objects with his mind unless it is a mountain of sort, in which case his abilities fail to work no matter how hard he tried.

Besides his telekinesis, Alan could now read the mind of anyone with ease, whether it may be their surface thoughts or memories from decades ago.

He also discovered many new abilities, like being able to communicate with animals, converting one thing into another for a temporary amount of time, and a lot more nifty things.

These things just made Alan much more motivated to learn new abilities and develop new techniques.

By this point, Alan had come up with a theory that either he was the only abnormality in this world, since he was unable to find anyone like him or that they were hiding their abilities just like him and he would prefer it it was the latter. Since that would mean that he might be able to train his abilities with their help.

So, he has been patiently waiting for the other people to come to him if there were people like himself. He was pretty sure that if there were people like him then they would have a way to find these gifted people, and he was banking on that thing. Otherwise, he would be left here to discover his abilities slowly and steadily.

Little did he know that his wait would come to an end very soon.
