1 The demons in the dark

"Another day passed. The same things, like ever. I woke up early, ate my breakfast, ran to school, studied, and came home. I did my homework, watched an episode of a random TV series, ate my dinner, and went to sleep. My life is boring every day. I swear that I have the opportunity to go way from another kingdom, another land, with other opportunities.".

Jane is like everyone else—nothing very special. Bronw eyes, bronw hair, brown skin—at least that's what she thought. In the middle of that night, when the clock showed 03 a.m. Jane opened her eyes, scared. The wind stopped, no noise could be heard, and only a cold chill penetrated her skin. She couldn't move at all when the window opened violently with an invisible force. A dark and vicious shadow entered her room and stopped right beside her headboard.

"Holy crap, I fucked. What the hell do I do? Right, I pray... God, please save me. I never go to church, and I don't pray, but I'm a good person. I like cats and... Shit, what am I doing? I need to run and quickly disappear."

The shadow began to dissolve into a human form, giving way to a tall, stern-faced man. His hands gripped Jane's wrist tightly, and after a time, confusion flashed in his eyes, quickly replaced by coldness.

"Interesting little girl. Luck day. You come with me."

The same fear that stopped her before made her move quickly away from his grip.

"No way. I warn you: don't get close. MOOOON, HEEEELP! I'm not alone."

Her finger trembled when she took the cell phone off the table. But, even though it was connected to the charger, the phone gave no sign of life.

"What did you do?"

"This toy doesn't work inside my domain. Do you have two choices? One takes your things, grabs them inside the bag, and lets go. Or two, I will get you to sleep, and I will carry you anyway."

"You don't do this. Heeellllp..."

"No one can hear you. Stop wasting my time. Little thing do you have three minutes before I lose my patience."

Jane ran to the door, but even the doorknob didn't move. Then she punched the door with all her might, but no sound could be heard. She remembered the open window and even knew she lived on the second floor. A broken leg is better than whatever that hideous man had in mind. So she rummaged for her life, and before arriving at the detainee, she erased

So troublesome! This girl should not exist. Finding her was purely lucky. He was in a hurry when he came by earlier, and what puzzled him was the strong presence of a clan lineage. Only people of the same lineage can feel each other, but this world has long been banished from immortal inheritance, and all their dependents have lost the right to cultivate. But someone of their own lineage was living among them. So even though he had other appointments, he went back to check, and what he found left him shocked and extremely annoyed. So he decides to bring her with him. They are going home.
