1 Chapter 1: Meet My Boss!

"Come out you piece of crap! " At the entrance of an abandoned factory, a few boys stood while holding thug tools. They held their bats and wrenches like proper gangsters and made sinister looks.

"You little shrimps, you have quite the guts to challenge my Boss. Just wait…he'll beat you up black and blue. "A boy with a cheesy attitude shouted at them. He wore broken glasses with muddy clothes.

"Why doesn't your Boss show his tail so I can cut it off him, Rach? "The boy at the front swung his bat and said in a taunting voice.

Rach was petrified and stared inside the factory while trying to figure out what was taking his Boss so long to come out.

"Maybe he pissed his pants? "The group burst into laughter and mocked relentlessly.

Inside,

A boy that looked about 17, stood while holding a bag, he had a sorrowful expression as he looked around the place.

He sucked in a deep breath and shouted with all his strength,

"Insolent!!!"

A roar came from inside the factory, startling the boys as they gripped their weapons tightly.

"How dare you come to my place and act so brazenly?! I shall peel your skin off and make me some new shoes! "

The threat was laced with intent as the boys took a few steps back because of shock.

The boy inside hurriedly ran for the other exit.

'Fight them? Peel their skin off? They're Guild members! To hell with that!'

"Let's see if I get a pair too." Rach crossed his arms with a mocking expression. He was waiting for his incredible Boss to teach these suckers a lesson.

Over the past year he started working for him, his Boss had bested anyone who came at them. He had complete trust in him.

'So what if they're Guild members, Boss is invincible!' these thoughts ran through his mind as he stood ground boldly.

If only he knew his great Boss was jumping over the broken parts in the factory while trying to escape and leave his sorry ass behind.

Ali ran for it, trying to save his little life. He reached the exit and stopped. Looking back, he saw that asslicking toad facing off against those boys and sighed.

"Well, Rach. I guess that's how far you go."

He turned around and was about to bolt when he saw something.

'A spider-silk rope, my sock, and…a horseshoe' then turned his gaze to the broken roof.

His eyes flashed.

Out at the other side, Rach's legs were shaking as he looked inside nervously. Why wasn't his Boss coming out?

"Seems like your Boss gave up on you and ran like a cowardly dog. "The boy leading the group grinned.

When the bickering was taking place, Ali was standing right above them; on the roof of the factory, about 2 meters above. He kept his balance and headed for a particular spot he determined. He had one hand completely shielding his nose while the other one wrapped the silk rope around the sock. Swinging it over the worn out metal, he used it as a pulley. He jumped down and used a torn out cloth to wrap the rusty horseshoe around his palm.

"So, Rach. We'll just have to beat you till he shows himself."

It was at this moment that the thought of his Boss leaving him here to save his own ass crossed Rach's mind when…

"Little toy, you speak such bold words. " Ali walked out at a slow pace, hands behind his back and head raised to the sky. He gazed at the group with insignificance.

The leader of the group was visibly mad by now.

He ran towards him while holding the bat. He was a good 3 meters away from Ali and covered half of it in 2 seconds.

Ali counted the time.

Unaware to everyone, he was holding on to the silk rope. It was light as wind and nigh undetectable.

Ali watched as the bat swinger came at him with everything he got.

'1…2…Now!'

On the signal, he released the string, pulled his hand out and slapped.

At this moment, time seemed to slow down. The string in Ali's hand was traced up to the small sock hanging just above the entrance.

The leader was heading for Ali with his bat pulled back, Ali's horseshoe hand was swinging for a slap and the sock was falling between them.

Everything sped up, the sock struck Ali's hand as the leader reached him. The slap swung the sock towards the leaders face.

The leader who was well determined to turn Ali's head to a pulp suddenly felt a revolting stench strike his nostrils. The overwhelming smell almost knocked him out as he accidently threw the bat mid swing.

'Heheh… ain't that a sucker. '

The smell distracted the leader and he went in a falling motion causing Ali's hand to hit his head instead of his cheek. The heavy hand struck his skull and he was slammed to the side, fainted.

Ali hurriedly pulled his hand behind his back and looked at the group, "Little shits, who are you staring at? Rach! "

"Yes Boss?! " Rach was overjoyed at the scene.

"Chase these filthy things off my property. " Ali said as he walked back inside in the same manner.

The instant he was out of sight, he grabbed his bag and bolted for the light at the end of the tunnel.

The whole group was shaking in fear as they stuck close to each other. They just saw their leader get knocked out with a single slap.

"Alright! Get out of here you raspy little suckers! "Rach shouted with dominance as he placed one step on the leader.

Then he headed back inside.

Scruffles were heard as the group vanished in an instant. A few of them carried their brave leader while sprinting in terror.

The tales they heard were true! This guy was invincible!

Rach walked in with an upright posture. He was drowning in pleasure as he saw those arrogant shits run like rats. He turned his gaze and saw his Boss holding a bag, running for the other exit. He was speechless.

"Uh…Boss!! Where are you going? Wait for me! "

He ran after the youth. Soon, he caught up and asked, "Boss, what's going on? "

Ali saw this toad chasing him and cleared his throat.

"We are heading for another location. This place does not have cable service. "

The duo ran outside the factory and straight to the road. They dashed through the sidewalk while tossing people aside with haste.

Ali and Rach, they were told in legends as the most notorious people in the whole city.

He was a scavenger, he took what he needed. But no one could tell that he was guilty of the crime. He never left even a single trace of his presence.

The only reason people even knew his name was due to Rach. This bootlicking toad went and ratted on about him to everyone. This boy had managed to help him chase away a few cops and had worked for him since then.

They ran through the streets and made a sharp turn.

A bird flew beside Ali and soared into the Heavens, revealing a magnificent city holding several pillars piercing the sky.

Welcome to Rimm City, a place filled with wonders at every corner. A world of strength working alongside democracy.

It has been a year since Ali remembered the world to go haywire.

He wasn't someone from another world, this was indeed his own world, just a really twisted and screwed up modification of it.

He woke up one morning and found himself in an abandoned alley instead of his house.

In just a night, the calm world had suddenly turned into a place right out of some novel.

It meant he had to fight for his food, water and toilet paper! This was terrible for him!

The year had indeed been pretty tough on him.

He was the target of relentless bullying and was a sandbag even for the bottom feeders. This was a cultivation world but little off the hook.

There were classes to people, there were too many of them to count. Warrior, Mage, Witch, Healer, Forger, Alchemist, and the list went on forever.

The first two stages were the Initiation and Transformation. In these stages, a person recognizes their class and his body morphs into specified attributes that complement the class.

Next starts the cultivation. Spirit, Golden Bone, Mystic Mortal, Precelestial and Celestial. Each stage was further divided into 9 ranks.

The most Ali had ever encountered were Spirit cultivators, and he barely scrapes past them. it was all thanks to his tricks that he survived this long. He was a bottom feeder but he was alive.

Thus, he eventually learned to live in this place and earned the notorious name of Shadow.

Ali ran through the sidewalk, trying to make a beeline for safety. In his bag were his survival stuff, his cell phone, and some food, a bottle of water, a lock pick, a small knife and a gun.

There were times when people actually tried to kill him so, by summoning the power of Grey Skull, he vanquished them.
