Burial

Days had gone by since my father died and I joint the game Henkai no Haaku. Today was the day of his burial and the day his will, will be announced. I went into my room and adorned myself with the black clothes customary for every burial. I looked in the mirror and examined myself adjusting anything that had to be adjusted. I glanced at my phone and checked the time. My fathers colleague had arranged for someone to pick me up and take me to the graveyard. I stepped out of the house and locked the door behind me, noticing the black car on the road. I walked up to it and knocked on the window.

"Are you the person that was sent to pick me up?" I inquired.

"Yes,Ms. Please enter and I will drop you off." He replied.

I nodded in understanding and entered into the passengers seat. The car started up and we drove off. I looked out and observed my surroundings. I observed the people that went through their day to day activities, how most looked panicked and others calm. I noticed how we drove past multiple buildings and how the sky had started to darken due to rain clouds.

"It seems we should be expecting some rain" The drivers tricked up conversation.

I hummed know agreement giving no room for small talk. He took the hint and kept quiet throughout our journey before we arrived at the graveyard. Once we had finally arrived I noticed that a lot of people had also come. Most of them were probably people my Dad once worked with and their families. Others either families he once saved or people that were curious on what was happening. I stepped out of the car and thanked the driver quietly before looking around in the masses hoping to see someone I recognized. I noticed my dad's colleague and walked up to him. He noticed me immediately and beckoned me closer. He was with his family.

"Hyuno. Glad to see you got here safely." He hugged me.

"Ah…Thank you?" I hesitated.

"Right…You don't know my name now do you?" He laughed.

"Yeah…" I replied.

"I'm Richard Kyugatsu. This is my wife Elizabeth and my daughter Diane." He introduced.

"Richard? Are you perhaps not from here" I questioned.

"My mother was from America. She gave me an American name in honor of her origin. My wife is from America." He explained.

"Oh…I understand. When will the service begin" I said.

"In a few minutes. Let's head there." He notified me.

We walked towards the front and waited for the start. The events went by like every burial. Some people went up to talk in honor of my father including Richard. I was asked if I wanted to but I denied. The casket was slowly lowered and I watched as I said the goodbye that I was trying to avoid long ago. I went back to the parking lot and met up with my dad's lawyer.

"Hello Ms. My name is Akiho. As you may know I am your fathers lawyer. Today seems hard on you so I will postpone this conversation to tomorrow if it doesn't bother you. We will meet at that popular cafe to discuss what needs to be discussed. I will call you if our plans change." He explained.

"That is ok" I agreed.

We exchanged contact information and went our separate ways. The same driver that dropped me at the graveyard, picked me up and took me home. The rest of the day was uneventful and soon enough my time to meet Akiho came. I arrived at the cafe in record time and noticed him by one of the window seats. I walked up to him, greeting him and taking a sit beside him.

"I'm glad to see that you've arrived. Let's get down to business." He said with a frightening smile.

I will be going to my boarding school soon which will cause me to stop posting chapters for a month or so. I will try to post one or two more chapters before I leave. My idea for the next chapter is up to my readers. I would like to make it that her father is actually the secret boss of a popular company and that she would be inheriting the business or if that is too much she can simply receive some money and a few properties. Please tell me your opinion and I will post a chapter hopefully before I go to school.

Thank you for reading this chapter and thank you for your support.
