To get the daily job you had to go to the front of the Guild and one of the Guild helpers will pick one of them between the unranked quests.
Alex only knew one of the helpers, so he went towards Lisa, and seeing that she was free he asked for her help.
Alex:'' Good morning Lisa, I am here for my daily job.''
Lisa:'' Ah yeah right, it's already 14 o'clock( 2:00 p.m.) today's job are to help our skinners by being their apprentice, the second one is to help out hunters, our meat supply has almost finished, and the last one is to help in the kitchen.''
Alex:'' Are there any rewards?''
Lisa:'' If you accept the first job, you will get 20 coppers, if you decide to help in the hunting session you will get 60 coppers, don't worry you will hunt rabbits, and birds, the biggest thing you could meet is a boar, and even if a wolf goes to the outer region you would be in a group of expert hunters, and if you help in the kitchen you get 10 coppers.''
Alex:'' If I participate in the hinting mission do I get a weapon from the guild?''

Lisa then leads Alex to a secondary room where he could wear the equipment, while he waits for it he checks his Archery skill since he forgot to check it.

After a minute Lisa brought the equipment, and Alex wore it.
The leather armor covered the most important parts, legs, chest, and arms, a basic leather armor, the longsword was made with iron, the knife instead was made with what looks like steel, and the short bow is made with black wood, with wooden arrows made of the same wood with a tip made of iron.
It took Alex 5 minutes to wear all the armor since this was the first time for him.
Lisa:''You already look like an adventurer, follow me, I will introduce you to the rest of the group.''
Lisa and Alex go out of the Guild from a backdoor, and Lisa leads him to a secondary structure where apart from the hunters, here also stayed the skinners, which job was to skin the prey of the hunters.
Lisa:'' The group is that one.'' She says while indicating a group formed by 3 men and a woman, and from their equipment and their bearings that the woman is the leader of the group.
She is wearing leather armor, but the quality is way better than Alex's ones, on her side is a sword, on her white chocolate lips, there is a scar, her hairs are blonde, but the most attractive part of her is hers is her smile and her hiney colored skin.
Lisa:''Catherine, I am here to give your group a Traveler that will help you.''
Catherine:'' Another one? Are you sure that this time he isn't a crybaby, the last one was almost pissing himself because of a boar''
Lisa:'' Don't worry, I am sure he is different, he has already been in the forest, and has survived a whole day there alone.''
Catherine looks at her for few seconds then back at me. the other members of the group are instead looking at Alex as if he was a dragon, Travelers, when they arrive, are considered to be weaker than even rabbits, and this kid not even older than 18 survived one day ALONE in the forest.

Lisa then gets back to her job, while Alex is asked by Catherine to present himself to the group.
Alex:'' My name is Alexander Kingstone, you can call me Alex, I am 17, I have been in this world for 3 days, I have unlocked the skill for the longsword, and for the short bow, I won't be a hindrance, just tell me what to hunt and I will hunt it.''
Catherine:''Well then, Alex, Lisa already told you my name, the others are Ludwig, Gin, and Lor, they have been with me for 3 years, if to save their life, I have to put in danger your life I won't hesitate.''
Alex:'' I don't expect to be treated equally, but see me as someone that can't do anything.''
Ludwig:''Ohoh the kid got balls.''
Gin:'' I am sure they are even bigger than yours, the first time you met Catherine you almost puked.''
Ludwig:'' HEY, LOR ALMOST PISSED HIMSELF.''
Lor:'' You piece of shit, you swore that you wouldn't tell anyone.''
They were about to fight each other, but all it took for them to quiet down was just a stare from Catherine.
Catherine:'' Well then, welcome to the group.''
The group of 5 then gets out of the city and heads to the forest.
Gin:'' Catherine what zones are we going in?''
Catherine:''We will stay in the outer zone, our mission is to hunt some animals, so no need to hunt for monsters.''
Ludwig:'' Lucky, so we will finish in few hours at most.''
It takes 20 minutes for them to arrive in the outer part of the forest.
Catherine:'' Ok, we will meet here in 3 hours, the one that hunts the least preys or only small preys will have to pay for the dinner and all the beer.''
When they hear those words everyone becomes serious and immediately enter their hunter mode.
They head on different sides of the forest, Catherine looks at Alex, a smug smile forms on her face.
Catherine:'' You will have to ask for a loan from the Guild.'' She says and then disappears into the forest.
Alex takes a deep breath, he relaxes his nerves, and he begins to run while searching for some tracks, he also takes out the bow and the quiver from the dimensional pocket, the sword is already on his side held by a scabbard attached to his belt, the knife is instead on his back also in a scabbard held by the belt.
After 5 minutes he finds the traces of a deer, he recognized the form of the hoof.
He follows the tracks, they led him to a deer, as he suspected, it is eating for some grass.
Alex:'I am close enough to hit him, from what I remember the main organs of a deer are behind and rearward of a deer's shoulder, while the heart sits below them in the chest cavity and the liver behind them, just past the diaphragm.'
Just to be sure he slowly approached the deer a bit more, paying attention to any type of small objects that could cause any sound.
When the distance is close enough, he slowly takes an arrow from his quiver and he notches it.
He waits few seconds, in case a gust of wind comes and changes the trajectory of the arrow.
And finally, he leaves the arrow.

The arrows hit, the feet begin to jump around for few seconds, it then slowly begins to slow down until it falls to the ground.
Alex gets out of his cover, and approaches the deer, he missed the hearth and he actually got one of the lungs, so he is causing severe pain to the deer.
Alex takes his knife out, and he uses it to pierce the hearth of the deer.
When the pulse disappears, he puts the body of the deer inside the pocket dimension.
Alex:'One down, I hope to be this lucky again...wait.'
Suddenly he hears a low growl from behind him, it is similar to a wolf one, but it is way deeper and stronger.
He bolts away from his position just in time to evade a lethal blow, from an enormous paw, the slash instead tears the leather and partially cuts his back.
He turns around, and in front of him there is a bear, his fur is colored black, and from his paws, some blood is falling.
He puts the short bow inside the pocket dimension and extracts the long sword from the scabbard and holds it with 2 hands-
Alex:'This are is too opened, I have to get inside the forest, or I am dead.'
He doesn't leave bear any chance for a second attack, he instead goes inside the tree populate area, and the bear follows behind him.
Due to the bear mass, his strength is enormous, but he lacks in speed.
Alex climbs one of the trees, and wait for the beat.
The bear reaches his tree and begins to sniff around searching for Alex.
The bear looks up, only for a longsword to pierce his eye.
The bear begins to run and slams again some trees, trying to make Alex fall from his back, to hold himself he also takes out his knife and he uses it as a second hold.
When the bear just runs, he slashes it with the knife in different locations, and when it slams against the trees he doesn't remove the knife, he instead twists it.
After few minutes the bear falls to the ground, but he stills doesn't remove the sword and continues to pierce the bear with the knife, a beast is way more dangerous when almost dead.
After few seconds he removes the sword from the eye, and the knife from the back, he jumps off the bear and sits near him.
Alex:''For fucks sake, are you serious fate? I get lucky by finding a deer and then boom, A FUCKING BEAR.'' He shouts while putting the bear inside the pocket dimension. and waiting for the natural regeneration to heal the cuts on his back, and the scratches caused by being slammed against trees.
After 10 minutes the damage is fully healed and he is ready to continue his hunt.
But before going hunting again he opens his status and checks his skills.
His climbing skills were raised by a level, his swordplay skill raised by 4 levels, he gained the basic Dagger mastery skill and it reached level 3, his running skill raised to level 8, his fear and pain resistance raised to level 9 and level 8 each, his tracking skill got to level 4, his natural regeneration got to level 6, his short bow mastery got to 9. and lastly his stealth skill got to level 5.

And oh boy how right he is, in the future, he is going to miss these occasions, where the only thing that would attack are only animals or even humans, in the future where a bear is no more than a piece of meat Alex will have to fight beings much, MUCH scarier.
