1 The Graveyard

Let's start with the easy thing. Introduction, I am a male and my name is Das Lorinent Talsa. Das means servant and the rest of my name, I have no idea what it is.

I was a man of beauty and perfection, literally. And this is the story of the misfortunes of us, it started with Valdis. He was a tall slender man, tan, dark brown hair, with blue shimmering eyes. Valdis was like one of those kids that are ambiverts. He wasn't as smart like me, nor was he overly handsome unlike me but I loved Valdis just the way he was. Even if there were times his brain was really fried. 

In summary for me I was an extrovert. I was the type to help people in need and Valdis was the type that likes to make people smile with his stupidity, in a good way. He was in a way a balance of both introvert and extrovert, but then something happened to that balance in Valdis and he began to act more introverted. I didn't realize when it happened nor how it happened because I wasn't there when it did.

I was trapped in the other side of the world and he walked into a path that didn't show him the sunlight. When he came back to me, Valdis was a different person.

It all started on December 4, 7:48 pm and the reason why I remember this was because it was literally the only time I saw when I last checked my phone.

Are world is a very odd one and things work differently here. Like how we have no weeks and time is more complicated and let's not go with ages and appearance. It way too complicated and how children are born in this world will just make your brain explode. In short, everything in this world is too complicated to understand.

I live in a town where it's located on the opposite side of the town's of Hill Grace. These are the town no one from the other side ever heard of, due to the fact you have to cross the dark forest and that's something no one is willing to risk their lives for. I was an exception to this. 

I live in Lancesirence Village with Valdis. I of course grew up somewhere else but Valdis always said that we have known each other since we were babies. I knew it wasn't true and I knew it because even if I did not look like it, I was older than Valdis. Older to the point someone from this world would consider me an immortal. Even so I played along with Valdis idea.

There was a time when Valdis had questioned me if we ever knew a girl or at least one used to live with us. I always made him skip that question. 

Valdis lived with me in the same house and he was the one that caused the start of stories that were taken by the wind. He was like a key to opening forbidden books or chests….

I was resting in my living room, staring at my phone reading a story about The Spirit of The Dawn. When I was beginning to feel sleepy, I swipe my finger on top of the screen downward. Checking the time 7:48 pm. I decided I had enough of reading and it was time to go to sleep.

As I headed towards my room, Valdis was walking out of his room and was heading towards the door. When I saw him, I did a quick turn and casually walked towards him and stop him from going toward the door with my right hand and said, "Where do you think you're going young man?!" In a very relaxed and suspicious way. "And why are you going out with your PJ's?!"

Valdis looked at me with guilt and then looked at the kitchen and said, "I may have eaten something that makes my stomach feel bad. So,..um..."

I looked at Valdis and seeing the way he acted like a cute puppy, warmed my heart. "Ok, but why are you going outside?"

Valdis looked very nervously to the side and then grab my left hand and pulled me towards his room. The house was in a way big but also small. It had two rooms, one kitchen, one dining room, one living room, and one bathroom. Its layout was, starting from the front door, the dining room was on the left side and living room on the right. Direction are from when you enter the house. On the left side behind the dining room was the kitchen. The rooms were located in the center of behind the dining room and living room, in between. There was a small hall and on both sides parallel to each, were the two rooms. At the end of the hall was the bathroom.

Valdis room was on the right side, as he pulled me towards his room, before we were 5 feet near a strange smell started to emit from all around the hall. It smelled really bad, that my nose started to burn. I quickly took control of the grip Valdis had on me and began walking toward the front door.

Once we were outside, I exhale and then took a deep breath in. Then I turn around and reopen the front the door and slide my hand inside to grab a hold of the keys hanging on the right side and the close the lock on the door and shut the door. Once that was done, I grab Valdis by the hand and pulled him towards the sidewalk. 

Massaging my temples, I stood there for a while and then thought to myself out loud, "Its ok, easy problem fix, I just need to walk to the store and buy some febreze…."

In back of me was Valdis and he was starting to look confused and when I looked back at his face I said, "Dang it!!! It doesn't exist here!!"

As I was contemplating what to do, I also started to question my life choices. I shook my head and then said, "Valdis?!" While turning to face him, but when I looked at the place where Valdis was, he was gone.

Panicking, I froze in place for a while and then started to look at my surroundings. There was Valdis fricken running towards something that looked like a fluffy white ball. As I looked at Valdis running towards the white thing, I snap myself from my trans and thought, 'Right now is no time to think!! FOLLOW THAT KID!!!!'

I began to run towards Valdis and shouted his name varies times but no matter how much I shouted, Valdis wouldn't stop chasing that white thing. 'What in the world is he even chasing!!!' 

I kept running after him for a while and I don't really remember if what I run was a long run or a short one. I kept running until I noticed Valdis stop before a gate. It wasn't a tall gate nor was it short one, but the gate was climbable. When Valdis stopped right next to it, I was finally able to get near him but not enough to stop him from what he was about to do next. 

As I was coming closer, I saw Valdis place his hands on the gate and then he began to climb the gate. When he began to do that, I started to yell like crazy, I was furious and began to tell him to come down, but Valdis didn't listen. He looked like he couldn't hear anything and just kept climbing to reach his goal. I was getting nearer and nearer as I ran towards Valdis and was about to climb the gate when I realize that the gate I was about to climb lead into the graveyard. I stop there with my hands still on the gate and looked up to the place where Valdis had jumped off from. 

That was when I thought to myself, ``How much do I actually value Valdis?"

I stood there for 15 seconds, when I finally decided that I value Valdis a lot even if he acted like a child, which he was, but he was all I had left now and I wasn't going to lose him too. So I began to climb the gate and when I reach the tip, I jumped  down and began to run around looking for Valdis.

The good news was I found Valdis the bad news was that when I found him, I saw Valdis throwing a shovel away and then saw him jumping into something that looked like a giant hole in one of the graves....?
