7 Chapter 7- Maleficent

I open my eyes and find myself in my room. I'm in my party clothes and my hair feels like a tangled mess.

Tyler stayed squatted near me looking sleepy and worried.

"Hey, Sis. How are you feeling?" Ty asked looking concerned and relieved.

"I'm fine. How did I come here?" I asked.

The happenings of last night replayed in my brain. I felt tensed and angry.

"What happened after billy goat slapped me?" I asked Ty.

"I heard you screaming and ran towards the noise. When I came up that a$$hole slapped you. I was so furious I punched him till he bled. Then you fainted. Before you fell, I carried you and took you home. I told Jaz what happened."

He told all these words carefully, like a prepared speech. The voice and the arms I heard and felt weren't like Ty's. They were more manly...

It must be the dizziness after the fainting. Ty won't lie.

"Does Dad and Mum know?" I asked.

"No, I didn't tell them. If they find out they won't let you go to parties and they'll be worried."

I gave him a grateful smile and nod.

I check my phone to see a string of apologizing texts from Jaz.

Han, where are u?

Han!

OMG I'm coming for u

I'm so sorry

Tyler told me everything

Pls call me ☹

I call Jaz and hear her muffled voice.

"Oh, Han I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to leave you. I got carried away-" she started to cry.

"Don't cry Jaz, I'm fine," I reassure.

"Once I find this guy, I'll chop him into cubes and feed him to vampires!" she threatened.

I laughed and talked and then hung up.

"Mom, Dad! I need to buy something. I'm going out." I shout.

"Ok, hun. Be careful!" my mother replies.

"Who are you texting?" I ask Ty.

Ty was sitting on the sofa typing to someone. That's weird because he doesn't chat often.

"No one," he said not looking at me.

I nod and walk out.

I was walk to the shop to buy what I need when I got a weird feeling that someone's stalking me. I turn back to see, but no one's there. Everybody is minding their own businesses.

I buy what I need and walk out of the shop. That's when I see a black BMW parked outside.

Leaning on it was Nate, Cameron and twins. I recognize the twins as Levi and Liam Knight. Levi was the bad boy and Liam was the good one, and they have a reputation for hacking. One similarity which I can agree - all four are as hot as hell.

I shake the thought off and try to hide from the boys seeing me.

"Yo Maleficent!" Levi shouts from behind.

I ignore and continue walking.

"Hey, Ms Sweet Caramel!" this time it was Cameron.

I lost it. I turn my head facing their direction.

They all start waving at me. I glare at them.

"You know it would be nice if you smile a little," Cameron said.

I smile a little at the thought of them not knowing my smile died years ago. It's lost; never to be found and returned to its owner.

"Uh, a-are you okay?" Levi asked.

I raise an eyebrow asking why.

"I cannot believe you listened to me," he said scratching his head.

I chuckle a little and return another a real smile.

"Um, are you sure?" he asked.

"Why do you look like I'm going to suck the life out of you?" I ask.

"Oh, so it's not true?" Cameron butts in.

"What?" I asked.

"That you are a kung fu expert with hidden nunchakus in your trousers and beat the crap of anyone who annoys you?"

I laugh full-heartedly this time. All look at me confused except Nate.

"I'm not a kung fu expert and I'm not hostile. Who told you this?" I say.

"Um... rumours?" Levi says.

I shake my head, saying no.

"Only the boys who have been jerks to me have said that."

"Do you have a boyfriend?" Levi asked, his eyes looking for hope.

I see Nate clenching his fists and his jaw ticking. He turned his head immediately, so no one notices his expression. Weird.

"No."

"Good."

I gave him a questioning look.

"He didn't mean anything. Come on boys, grow a pair and stop talking with little girls," Nate says with a sexy Italian accent, looking at me with his cold grey eyes.

"Little girl? I'm not a little girl!" I snap.

"Whatever makes you sleep at night, mia amore." He smirks and goes.

Damn that accent...

"Hey, Dad. How was your day?" I asked while eating dinner.

"It was good, darling. I had a business meeting today and we got a new deal." Dad smiles and says.

My Dad is the founder and CEO of multimillion business GlobalMedics, a medical company. My Mum is a surgeon.

"Tomorrow we will be having lunch with the new business partners. Will you be there sweetie?"

"Of course, Dad," I chuckle.

"Wear something formal darling," Mum smiles.

I nod approvingly.

"Who are the new business partners?" I ask with curiosity.

"They own a multimillion corporate business. Husband and wife. Sweet couple, I think she said she has a daughter. Maybe you could be friends with her."

I smile and finish dinner.
