Useless indeed if you put into consideration how the Mortal Realm was divided, there were 22 known veins for cultivators. It was rumoured that there were 24 since the ancient scriptures were fragmented and not many people fully understood the language that was written, it was later on dismissed as nothing more than a fib.

20 veins were considered ordinary while the other two were called Divine veins. Only a genius was able to open the two veins, the top academies always searched for such people also hoping they might be able to understand the ancient language since the geniuses of previous generations who opened 9 and some 10 veins were the ones who were able to translate small potions of the ancient scriptures.

The academies could not take geniuses of the top 20 families unless these families willingly sent their children there, most of the families starting from diamond to silver had at least two divine manuals as you went up in ranking each family had more, a typical silver family had at least three while others had four. Diamond rank had at least 10, it was not clear if this was correct since families in the Diamond rank were very secretive.

Opening 1-2 veins, you would be considered a mortal, opening 3 veins even though that person could be considered more in tune to spiritual energy they were still useless since they were destined not to go further than the Mortal realm.

4 veins that person would be seen as mediocre, 5 veins was average talent, 6-8 veins great talent and 9-10 veins a genius. If a person opened 10 veins in the Mortal Realm, they are considered a great genius as they are rare. Even though academies usually do not get involved with the top 20 families unless they were invited, they would have to make a request to those families to take the child as a direct disciple but it must be a great elder of the academy whose cultivation is Void Boundary late or great attainment who qualifies to be their master.

That is how valued a 10 vein child is at Mortal Realm, since this is rare not more than 10 in the 10000 year old cultivation history of the 7 continents has this occurred.

After Renata had learned this information she was both depressed and frustrated. The body that looked healthy and radiant when she first woke up, now pissed her off. She had no eloquent words on how to describe her feelings, so for three months since she had been reborn, she dedicated her time in wallowing in self pity.

There was no sense of vengeance for her past life because she felt like they were not the same people, as this world was different with the cultivation and spiritual animals running around.

She thought to herself, that no wonder that stupid system decided to go to sleep mode after analysing her. It realised she was useless goods.
