10 Chapter 10 - Inventions

Rema was so excited that she ate extra ant eggs for today so she can tier up. After she ate 10 more ant eggs, she felt a strong force inside her body that makes her feel energetic.

Her body didn't change in appearance but she can feel that her skin is a lot more harder and sturdier compared to before.

'Congratulations for achieving Earth Rank, Buccela Layer, Tier 1, host.' Psyche said to Rema.

'So, now I can create 10 more clones?' Rema asked excitedly.

'Yes but please don't do it for now. Do it when you accumulate more Spirit Power, host.' Psyche reminded.

Rema nodded, and then calmed her excitement since she knew that she was still currently weak.

'I remembered that Sera said before that when I achieve Buccela layer, I'll achieve a strength that is two times stronger than an average human. Then does this mean that I can easily destroy the ants here, Psyche?' Rema asked when she remembered what Sera said before.

'Yes, you can do that host if you weren't a parasite monster. There are different kinds of monsters that are holy, demonic, draconic, aquatic and more but you my host are a special type of monster. A parasite monster is typically weaker compared to humans. Imagine if you faced an average human, you'll definitely die since your strength will only be half of that average human's strength' Psyche said.

'What? How will I be able to face humans then?' Rema asked feeling anxious.

'Don't worry host since you can parasitize a living being with the same combat rank as you. You'll just need to find a suitable host for you to use parasitism. Also, remember that you have two more advantages as a parasite monster. One is being able to make clones, this makes you hard to kill while the second one will be your learning ability since you can learn everything that each of your clones learn. You now have 10 bodies which means 10 brains that can help you learn different things at the same time.'

'You're right but finding a suitable host will be my next goal after I completely dominate this place. I plan to control this ant colony, and be my continuous Spirit Power supplier in the future.' Rema said while thinking about the future.

'For now, I'll accumulate Spirit Power and multiply my clones.' Rema thought and continued her days in practicing her skills and eating ant eggs.

Days passed and she managed to take over the three rooms she discovered before. She also managed to dominate another room but not completely. Rema only has two clones there since she was short of having one more clone.

She also managed to increase the number of arms she can control, now she can manage to perfectly control ten arms. Her Spirit Eyes also increased in range which was now 9.5 meters. She asked Psyche that if she has a range of 9.5 meters, shouldn't she be able to see the ant nest completely?

She learned that her range was actually dependent of her size. Psyche's description was based on the human body but since she was a parasite monster, it was not applicable to her. Since she has the size of somewhat 0.5 millimeters, her range of Spirit Eyes will be 9.5 millimeters. She then let Psyche change the description of her Spirit Eyes skill since it gives misunderstandings.

Rema also managed to perfectly create and control four strings now. Now that Rema managed to dominate 6 and a half rooms, she plans to increase her Spirit Power until she tiers up.

'Host, I suggest that you go out of this nest and try to find a another place where you can parasitize. I suggest trying to parasitize a small animal like a mouse, rabbit, or even a small bird. This can help you survey the place easier.' Psyche suggested.

'Hmm, you're right. I'll do that once I tier up, and I'll assign three clones of mine to go outside.' Rema thought since when she tiers up her limit of creating clones will double.

'Do you think I can make wings made from Spirit Energy?' Rema asked since she wanted to increase her movement speed.

'Yes, you can and you can actually create anything with the use of Spirit Energy but at your current strength you won't be able to create complex things.' Psyche answered.

'If I can do that then I should invent my own method of moving, defending, and attacking.' Rema thought.

'For now, you can only do that but if you're in a human society or monster society you'll find many books and teachers that can help you learn the different usage of Spirit Energy.' Psyche said.

'Alright, so my next goal for the following days will be increasing my Spirit Power and inventing my own skills.'

Half a month has passed and Rema was close to tiering up. She now has 19.8 Spirit Power, and by tomorrow she'll be able to tier up. She also invented three skills which she calls Spirit Wings, Spirit Hemisphere, and Spirit Needles.

The Spirit Wings was just a pair of wings that can help Rema fly. If looks like the wings of a fly but it only has a speed of 10 centimeters per hour. It was slow but it was currently Rema's fastest movement skill. It cost her 2 Spirit Energy to activate the skill, and will only last for an hour.

Her next skill, Spirit Hemisphere is a defense type of skill. It creates a hemisphere around Rema's body by using Spirit Energy. It cost her 0.5 Spirit Energy to use and it can cost 1 Spirit Energy if she wants it to turn into a sphere. The hemisphere will only last for 15 minutes since the shield was created with high volume of Spirit Energy to protect and not to last the usage longer like her other skills.

Rema's next skill is Spirit Needles which is a range type of skill. She can create a 0.5 millimeter needle to attack. She can create up to 2 needles with a cost of 1 Spirit Energy.
