When I woke up, my head throbs. I massaged my temples to ease the pain. My attention suddenly focused on the black sheet that covers my whole bare body. Damn!

I took a peek inside the black sheet and noticed the evidence of my stupidity. I glanced at the person lying beside me. I can't remember anything about last night but I must say that I'm lucky to end up with this kind of guy. He looks like a foreigner because of his facial features and height. I noticed a mole on the left side of his neck.

When I got back to my senses, I immediately put my clothes back before he wakes up.

Someone's phone vibrated and I know that it's not mine because I always turn off my phone. My 'chismosa-side' was activated. I get his phone to take a look on the message and I discovered that his phone has no password.

From: Gen. Beat Ekkehard Kierulf

We're close in catching the culprit, dude. I reviewed the footages.

I took a glance on the person sleeping on the bed.

You're fucked up, Naenah Akaibara. You did this bullshit. He's damn involved with a fucking general.

I slapped my own forehead.

I have five principles in life:

1.) Never date someone younger than me. Never date such a boy and find a man instead.

2.) Never date a bad boy because a bad girl only deserves a good boy and a good girl only deserves a bad boy.

3.) Never date a guy, involved with law or security because it will be difficult if he finds out the truth.

4.) Never commit to a serious relationship because things will be too complicated, for me too handle.

5.) Lastly, dump him the moment he discovered who really am I. He will ruin everything.

I dropped his phone and went out from his unit immediately.

"I'm sorry, Ms. Akaibara. I think he's late again," Betchay smiled with evident disgrace on her face.

"It's okay, Betchay. Is he already on the way?" I smiled at her.

"Actually, he just woke up, but don't worry! His unit is just ten minutes away from the Kierulf Security Company building," she assured.

"Maybe I'll just wait for another ten minutes again."

"You can proceed to his office na lang, Ms. Akaibara. Is it okay?" She asked.

"That will be more convenient."

She guided me through the CEO's office. I can't even walk properly because of what happened.

"Wait him here," I just nodded.

I sat on the sofa and I regretted the moment I agreed to wait inside his office.

Wow! Just wow!

My precious ten minutes got wasted and extended to another thirty minutes.

Damn this boy! He's testing my patience.

I had no choice but to roam around his office. His nameplate on the table caught my attention.

Andreas Christof Gottfried Kierulf. Chief Executive Officer of Kierulf Security Company.

I wonder if when did he learn to write his name correctly.

Gottfried?!

It reminds me of a fried chicken. I chuckled at that thought.

Someone cleared his throat behind my back.

"Ms. Naenah Akaibara?" I heard a baritone voice.

I turn to face him. I mentally cursed myself when I saw his face.

"Are you okay, Ms. Akaibara? You look shocked." He grinned. "Is there a reason to be shocked?"

"I'm okay."

"Then you may take your seat," he said.

I sat on the chair in front of him and he sat on his swivel chair.

"So you're the new endorser, huh?" The grin is still plastered on his face.

I really regret attending this meeting with the CEO.

"Say what you want to say. Straight to the point because I just wasted my hour for this nonsense meeting, Mr. Kierulf."

"Chill, Ms. Akaibara."

I rolled my eyes.

He start to be on his serious mode. He discussed some upcoming project and informations about the whole project in Kierulf Security Company.

"Is that all?"

"That's all," he said.

"Good. May I go now?" I fixed myself and stand up, ready to go.

"You act like nothing happened last night," he also stand up, "Do you have amnesia?"

"I'm being professional here, Mr. Kierulf. Come on, it's already 21st century. It's normal. Don't be such a boy."

"You're really heartless. You left me without saying a single word, meine geliebte," he said.

He crossed the gap between us and crashed his lips on mine passionately. I just kiss him back.

I ended it and we're both gasping for air. I am sure that my lipstick was smudged because I can see a taint of my red lipstick on his lips.

"Sorry, but I don't want someone younger than me. I also don't want a bad boy for a boyfriend. I told you, I'm professional, Mr. Kierulf."

I gave him a smirk before I finally left his office.

"I smell gas," my driver said and went out of the car, "Sorry, but you have to get out of the car, ma'am! The gas leaking. Maybe you should call another a taxi driver. I won't pay you any charge for this hassle."

"Sure."

Gas leak

I stayed a little far from the car because I know what will happen. I decided to stay in the other lane.

A house near the car caught my attention. I watched them through the window. I saw a middle-aged woman holding a birthday cake with a birthday candle on the top of it. A little girl approached her and a middle-aged man joined them. They start to sing a song for the little girl. Happiness filled their whole house.

Birthday Candle.

I noticed a man from the other lane, near the car. He's puffing a cigar on his right hand. He dropped it on the grass. He got another cigar and a lighter on his pocket. He lighted his cigar. I'm about to cross the street when he accidentally dropped the lighted cigar where the gas leak is. It started to fire.

Fire

I glanced at the house again. The car is is front of their house. They are eating together happily when the car exploded with their house.

Sometimes I'm not the murderer on my own nightmare. Sometimes I just witnessed it.

I can't stop my nightmares. They are consuming me.

Sometimes your first day can be your last day for the rest of your life.
