4 || A Fellow Hooman ||

As I woke up to the sound of birds chirping and the warmth of the sun shining on my face, I was immediately reminded of the wheelchair that I was confined to.

"What a beautiful day," I thought to myself, "but what a bummer about the wheelchair." As I tried to get out of bed, I realized that the blueprint I had left there was nowhere to be found.

Panic set in as I started to wonder if someone had stolen it. But then, a glimmer of hope appeared as I realized that if someone had taken it, maybe I could finally live in peace without all the pressure that comes with being and inventor , haha .

I dismissed Mary and was left alone with my thoughts. As I lay there, I started to think that just because my legs are paralyzed doesn't mean that I can't be productive.

Maybe I can do something from the comfort of my bed. I tried to remember what I knew about the Arielle empire, and how it was the strongest empire on the western continent, according to my memories. But if that's the case, then why is my home so underdeveloped and restricted by old-school superstitions?

"Ugh, how boring," I thought to myself, feeling frustrated at my lack of options. Suddenly, a gust of wind blew through the window, and a boy with black hair appeared on the windowsill. I was surprised, to say the least.

"W-who are you?" I asked, trying to keep my composure.

The boy turned to look at me and smiled mischievously. "Can you hear me? Probably not..." he trailed off, his voice low and playful.

I stared at him, feeling confused. "Hey, you know I can hear you, right?" I said, slightly annoyed.

He suddenly jumped off the windowsill and held my face in his hands, making me feel a bit uncomfortable. He started speaking in a language that I didn't understand, and I assumed it was some kind of Pokémon language.

"Squirtle, squirtle, squirtle," I responded, playing along.

He seemed pleased with my response and continued talking in his own language. I couldn't understand what he was saying, but I could tell that he was trying to communicate with me in some way.
